I have had to obtain a co signer to get an apartment here and since day one its been a huge problem for the leasing office to provide even ok customer service. Augustine is the worst individual working here and needs to be fired. He has the worst customer service ever. I called in to tell them my stove was broken he said he cant do anything so thanks for the customer service Augustine, I will not recommend my friends and family to live here and cannot wait until my contract is up ill definately be moving out. the atlas has been terrible. Listen to us . Do not move . It's the worst place we've ever rented from . starting from mold in the apartment, water in the closet during winter time , even my brand new couches got mold , the isolation sucks . My family and i were sick most of the time and they did not fix the mold issue , they just ask you to buy something from amazon to help with it . The lady at the office( Bella Hernandez) is always defensive and willing to go on your nerves. Some neighbors are annoying and loud. The police goes way frequent due to loud noises. Awful environment (police there all the time), dishonest management, terrible maintenance, office staff completely disorganized. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews but living there was an awful experience! Only stayed till my lease was up after a year. The day I moved in my dryer wasn't working and Maintenance took over two weeks to fix it. When I contacted them, they said it wasn't an urgent request and that's the way they do things. This went on throughout the whole year I was there. Eventually, I quit sending the office management emails regarding different questions/issues I had because they were never answered. There are added fees to the rent, and I was never able to get any answers. The management that runs the apartment complex is being sued and now I know why. I was sent my last final bill and the charges were outrageous. Definitely get a lawyer. Then they mailed me another final bill which was about $4000 and when I call the office, they told me to ignore it because it was being sent out incorrectly to people. The grounds are filthy, which I didn't get to see when I was shown the model apartment. Beer, cans, garbage and all kinds of junk all over the place. Especially around the garbage containers. The hallways were filthy and I was told they would be washed two months into moving in. Never happened. The environment was not friendly at all. I saw people being arrested and police activity on a daily basis. I've never experienced such awful communication or lack thereof. I moved out almost 2 months ago and to this day. nobody there will help me retrieve a package that was sent to me after I moved out. I've made numerous phone calls and had my daughter go in person a couple of times and they keep making up stories or dodging her. Needless to say, I feel badly for anybody who ends up there. Filthy grounds, terrible maintenance, office communication is the worst i've experienced, and they illegally added a fee to my rent after having to concede a small amount when they messed up my move-in day. Not to mention other hidden fees. I recently found out that their management company Greystar is being sued. Not surprised in the least. The shortest I've lived somewhere is 5 years and then I moved to Copperwood and was out in less than a year. The whole year I was there, I sent out emails to the office due to the awful cable (the DVR equipment is from 2002) and random things not working. Never got an answer so I went to the office and they lied to me that i was using the wrong email address. Began to plan moving out because they weren't willing to admit to anything. Maintenance is rude and takes FOREVER. I spent my whole first month there without a functioning dryer. They claimed it wasn't an urgent matter! Now I moved to an apartment complex that was at my door within an hour or less of sending a low-priority maintenance report. SOO worth the moving costs. The hallways are filthy and littered with beer bottles and all kinds of disgusting junk all around Copperwood. Not like the building they showed me with the model apartment. They told me they'd be cleaning up the walls/hallways and I quickly gave up asking about it after sending emails that no one responded to. I was excited when I first moved there because I'm half Latin and there seemed to be a large Latin presence. Unfortunately I was so disappointed because people were so unfriendly and treated me like an outsider. Very hostile environment. There were cops there all the time and strange "activities" especially at night in the parking lot. Never felt safe. If you're looking for a multi-racial place to live, this is the wrong one to pick. I'm in one now but it's warm, inviting, clean and friendly. If you do make the decision to move there anyway, be careful about bills being sent to you after you move out, claiming that you owe over $3,000.00. Call a lawyer! Greystar is being sued already over all this, so hopefully they'll clean up their act AND grounds. Lastly, I called about a package that was sent to my old address there, and the office has gone out of it's way to NOT help me with retrieving it. The manager Esmeralda must have taken my complaint about deposit issues personally, because after that it became impossible to communicate about it to anyone working for her. Extremely unprofessional and rude. The good news is there are places in the area with ethical management and beautiful apartments and grounds. Don't settle for a nightmare. read more

This has been the worst experience dealing with office staff as a whole. From the assistant manager to the leasing agents not to mention the missing in action manager that was never in the office. I hope that never happens to anyone else. So, as I went into the office to take in possible tenants and for myself, I walked into the office and right away the agent there whom we found out was the assistant manager was off the back snappy and rushing. We just got there? Next we asked to do a tour and right away she said "Oh no we don't do tours when it gets dark." So we asked a good time to come the next day and she says 5:30pm. I told her what would be the difference from today 5:30 to tomorrow and she said "Oh I didn't realize, but yes we can't do it." Mind you the sunlight was still out we were all looking out the window. Meanwhile, she kept yelling from her office calling for the other agents to come to her for instructions. How unprofessional? Well, we arrived the next day but we were given another agent whom didn't or couldn't work the system well that they work out of on the computer so he had to hand the co-applicant a paper application. When it came to closing we handed the complete paperwork and he said just take it with you. We were confused. I said No take it and whatever you need we can bring it over because everyone works. Well, the next morning those applicants asked me to call and make sure they have the right apartment attached because the agent that was helping didn't listen to what the applicants wanted. The assistant manager was the one to answer and so I gave her the information. Well, when we called back, they said the apartment was taken. We made a fuss and one of the agents that called the applicants back said to them that sorry one of the employees wanted the apartment but gave it up. Does that make sense? We spoke that morning to make sure as the applicants put a deposit. Not to mention my agent that was helping me, when I went in on the visit the agent told me my leasing agent wasn't in and to come the next day. Went in the next day and they told me he was out again. Then he finally calls me and says he was leaving early at noon so we were working on a tight window to get some things done. Well, he didn't call me back I had called him back to find out that my apartment I had original spoke to him about was taken by a family. I learned the family it was taken by was my own family, so I just left it. But, as there were about 5 Families that applied they only accepted one and pending one but three of us hardworking citizens of this country were told we did not qualify because of our debt to income ratio. What? But we clearly all got a guarantor whom are also hardworking citizens making 6 figures and still were denied. I tried reaching out to the owners whom I thought was Colrich to let them know why this apartment was not being occupied. Greystar is the managing company and mind you they are the ones just sitting in that office not returning calls or when we call in or walk in still can not resolve any issues with us applying. I was in and out of that office almost every day last week, to get a phone call that our applications were denied? Please someone call me. Please give our deposits back asap as it is the holidays and good riddance. read more

Thinking about this place makes me physically ill... I'll try to keep it short but living here has been nothing but absolute hell. In summary: -horrible maintenance -poor cheaply renovated units -never answer the phone or emails -horrible, loud, obnoxious neighbors 24/7 -trash overflowing everywhere -black mold causing major health issues, which was never fully resolved I called to confirm multiple times which "level" of apartment we were getting, which they confirmed was a "2.5" which is the mid tier renovation. When we came to pick up the keys, and entered our apartment it was disgusting. It was not a "2.5" which the team had confirmed over the phone. There were nasty stains all over the carpet, broken dishwasher, drains clogged with black stuff coming up out of it (?), just not something we considered acceptable. they had the audacity to try to charge $1400 a month for that. The new unit was much more acceptable. Everything was great at first until it came time for maintenance. Right off the bat our dryer was broken which had to be replaced, our dishwasher was leaking which the maintenance guy said he couldn't fix lol. Windows won't close all the way, sliding glass door didnt have a lock (fixed ourselves), shower curtain rod was always falling out of the wall even after management "fixed it", etc. The trash bins are overflowing constantly. There's never any parking after 5pm. Neighbors are always playing super loud obnoxious music, working on theirs and others cars in the lot (which is deemed not allowed but never prosecuted), the maintenance team always does a half-ass job, office not answering calls, someone tried to kick in our front door, etc. Not to mention that our $1500 rent turns into $1900 every month with all the fees. One month, for some reason the app couldn't process my rental payment after I attempted multiple times, and they tacked a "pay or vacate" notice on our door almost immediately, and then proceeded to charge us a $200 late fee even though the payment was submitted prior to the 1st. Oddly, our family was suffering weird health issues such as bad headaches, congestion, respiratory issues, etc. I discovered black mold in the front coat closet. I requested the maintenance team fix it immediately as we had a premature baby with respiratory issues in the home. Luckily they sent someone that day, but all they did was bleach it, wipe it down, and paint over it. If you've done your research you know that bleach does not kill mold, only make it worse, if there is an underlying issues. Our insurance company sent an inspector to check the wall. Lo and behold, the back wall humidity read at 99.9%. Within less than a month there was already more mold growth in the same spot. Again I requested they come fix the issues, this time stating they need to find the root cause by cutting open the wall. I didn't receive a response for 4 days. I sent an email asking them to just let us out of our lease (without the $3500 fee) so we can get our family to a healthy habitable home. No response to my email, but the next day they enthusiastically had someone coming to fix it. Long story short, they bleached it again, cut open the wall saying there was no issue (when we could see there clearly was), patched it, and told us it was our fault and gave us a handout saying we have to keep our thermostat at 68-72 degrees (which we do). It was honestly a laughable situation. After it came back the third time we finally were able to speak with a manager who repeatedly called the mold "mildew", told us they have issues with this in many of their units, and told us the only thing they'll do is move us to another unit. Not to mention the manager would not let anyone speak without speaking over them. Eventually, after numerous conversations, calls, emails, and no resolution, we paid the buyout fee and finally got out. Overall, copperwood has been the most miserable living experience of my life. I should be able to feel safe in my home, and I've never felt that at copperwood. Dealing with all of their BS while majorly pregnant, postpartum, and with a premature newborn was so miserable. I'll definitely do a lot more research before choosing where to live next time. For now, I hope that potential tenants are warned and choose a safer community to live in. They are now trying to charge us $700 over a month after we moved out. read more

Do NOT move here. As a single mom of two, my experience living here has been a nightmare. In just the first six months, here's what I've endured: Washer/Dryer Issues: My washer and dryer broke twice. Management made me use the unit above me for laundry, and it took over a month for them to replace it. Air Conditioning Failures: The AC broke twice during the summer--once in June and again in August--leaving my apartment at over 100°F with only a single fan. It took over a month to fix each time. Safety Concerns: I found bags of drugs on the grass outside (I have photos). There was a shooting right outside the complex, reportedly tied to one of the most dangerous Venezuelan gangs. Groups of men often loiter near cars, creating an extremely unsafe and uncomfortable environment--especially for a single woman like me. Trash Everywhere: The community is a mess. People leave trash, furniture, and even groceries scattered around, making the complex look filthy and neglected. Apartment Fires: There have been three fires so far, including one in the apartment directly above mine. Management's response? Nothing meaningful. After the fire, my unit was flooded. They removed baseboards, drilled holes in the walls, and left eight industrial fans running. The apartment became completely unlivable, yet they refused to provide temporary housing for me and my children. Negligence and Poor Communication: Management has been unresponsive and dismissive. None of my calls or emails are returned. The after-hours emergency line doesn't work--mailboxes are full, and no one ever answers. Despite all of this, they've never offered a rent discount or any form of compensation for the severe inconvenience and negligence. I've documented everything, and I've even consulted other property managers who were shocked by the lack of professionalism and care. This place is unsafe, poorly managed, and completely unfit for anyone, especially families. It's clear that all they care about is collecting rent checks. My children and I have been trying to leave since our second month here. For your safety and sanity, DO NOT MOVE HERE. read more

Cute apartments but it's hell on earth, if you read this please don't ever consider renting there: noisy neighbors every single day, trash all over the hallways, beer bottles around the pool everyday, Another disappointing aspect living here has been the state of the the pool and the gym, the pool was most of the time closed due to the bad use some people was giving to it and the gym with broken equipment than no one ever fixed, kids playing football in the gym or just chilling on the machines, our Amazon packages delivered to our door were stolen a several times, multiple difficulties with the carport, on several occasions, we found our designated spot occupied by someone else, Regrettably, our vehicle suffered paint stains that we had to repair on our own because even though we reported it several times nothing ever was done. Worst place I have lived in and I've lived in a lot of crappie student apartments. Expect a lack of communication from management. My husband and I tried to find out what our last month rent would be since we we're moving out the middle of the month. Victor was supposed to let us know before our rent was due which didn't happen and we had to pay a late fee. We've never been late before and the first 3 days of the month the office was closed yet management was not will to work with us even though we didn't even know what we owed. On top of that the place is a complete dump! Dog poo and trash is literally everywhere! One day I came home from work an noticed someone's trash and melted ice cream was spilt all over the lawn. I called the front desk to let them know and they replied that there was nothing they could do about it! Today my daughter was turning 10 years old and my brother-in-law told me that we should make food at the pool grill. and he left me in the pool while he went to get more meat to eat and a very rude old lady saying that we had to leave just for not having a bracelet and I think it's fine if those are their rules but maybe if it was told to me nicely that I couldn't be there for not having a bracelet I would be understood but she very rudely kicked us out of the pool without even being able to give an explanation as to why we were there. 3 or 4 people around me agreed that she was very rude to me and my family, she took my wet daughter out of the pool and we had to leave. I fucking hated dealing with the management here. We ended out lease early because we hated it so much. It cost us $2,250 to end the lease early. We asked when we needed to drop our keys off and they just shrugged at us. Dog poop EVERYWHERE, no parking after 6pm, trash constantly all over the place, and we just got a letter two months after we moved out saying we owe them a balance, but it doesn't say how much or why. The app is a nightmare to use, it's so hard to understand what you're paying for. And our $900 apartment just jumped to $1200. You can't even hear yourself think because the appliances are so loud. Get ready to hear every football game and when marching band practices from 8am-4pm. The laminate was coming up when we moved in and the carpet fell apart when we vacuumed it. DONT RENT HERE, First they Bait and switched me to another more expensive apartment which is illegal, there are literally no words to to describe how horrible this place is, right when you think that things can't get worse things literally take a turn for even more horrible things. The apartments cost an extreme amount of money on a luxury price level however the apartments are very ugly and outdated and many of the amenities break a lot during your stay. They will then ignore your requests to fix important things. All in all, I spent $24,000 a year living here for the ugliest apartment ever. They told me I would be getting a fire place, stainless steel appliances, brand new granite countertops and what I found was an apartment stuck in 2009 with none of those amenities read more

I read all of the negative reviews here and on google, and I was super hesitant to give these apartments a try but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I scheduled an appointment to view some units and talk about pricing. I was five minutes early to my appointment, and when I walked in to the office it seemed a bit busy. There were two other people waiting to be helped. I ended up standing there for over 15 minutes and none of the leasing agents even looked my way or told me they would be with me in a moment. Both of the other people in the office got helped and I was just left standing there and none of the agents would even make eye contact with me even though there were at least four of them that I could see. It's sad (on my part) that this is actually the second time I have had this experience. Both times that I tried to speak to an agent and had an actual APPOINTMENT, I stood there and waited for an unacceptable amount of time and then ended up leaving. It's unfortunate that this place truly lives up to all of the negative reviews that they have online. read more

This complex has rude and deceitful managers who charge gigantic late fees because they "lost" rent payments that were made in good faith on time. They also randomly decided to cancel automatic electronic payments (set up in advance just SO rent would be paid on time) without notifying all people on the lease. Then charged late fees when automatic payments (that were naturally assumed to have been made) were not made on time. Then, when I talked to management about this, he argued with me and said I should have known because they sent an email to another tenant. If this has happened to anyone else, please post about it. DO NOT LIVE HERE. Zero stars if I could. We lived there for only a year and we were ready to leave after a couple months. The pool was NEVER open because management can't control the way people treat the amenities which is fine but management did nothing to keep everything nice. The pool was drained 3 times so it was never opened. The exercise room is filled with equipment that didn't even work & there's dog poop everywhere. Management kept telling everyone to keep their dogs on leashes & one day we helped someone catch their dog who was off leash just to find out it was a dog from someone WHO WORKED IN THE OFFICE. That dog was constantly walking around with the owner no where to be found. Every weekend people are blasting music & partying. Teenagers are everywhere & I don't even think most of them lived there. This place is also filled with people working on their cars and other peoples cars. You can't do anything without seeing random people working on their cars so there's NO parking. My car was towed all the way to MURRAY bc my parking pass fell on the floor. MY CAR AND ITS LICENSE PLATE WAS REGISTERED FOR THE LOT & THEY TOWED IT BC IT WAS ON THE FLOOR. I paid 400+ OUT OF POCKET when I had NOTHING all because of that! Now we are being billed $1000.00 because we didn't leave the apartment in pristine shape! We are not dirty people! We didn't leave it spotless but in no way do I agree that a thousand dollars is what they needed to clean it. I'm disgusted. I just received a call from Copperwood today telling me they were throwing that debt into collections. We have emailed Copperwood immediately when we found out the balance and no one responded. The man that called didn't care and demanded we paid or else it's going to collections. This place is disgusting and I'm sooooooo sad that a place can feed off the poor with broken promises & more debt. These apartments have good and not so good features. I gave it a two stars because, unfortunately, the bad outweighs the decent amenities. The outside look of the place is nice, you have to look pass the dog crap everywhere though. If they allow pets it would have been a better option to provide a specific dog area or place for the animals. A couple good things about this place is the media packages are reasonable. The maintenance is quick to respond to repairs. The management is so-so. Not to friendly which is huge when you have to deal with them several times a month. Hope that helps! read more

Straight up Fuck this place, We paid on time for 3 yrs they make you give a 60 day notice upon leaving, we did, our move out date was 4/20/20 we moved out cleaned, patched walls submitted our keys on the 31st of March we even took pictures of keys being submitted, they say we owe rent for 4/1-4/20 $800 cleaning fee of $220 say we have a carpet cleaning fee of $200 and we had no carpet in the unit at all, it was all vinyl flooring, a late fee of $150 for not paying the rent amount from 4/1-4/20, parking and storage charges for the time, utilities for the time of 4/1-4/20, renter insurance when we've had renters the whole time on the place, painting fees and so forth as well as them taking our deposit of $200 and keeping it at the same time... They have the nerve for us to pay $1300 to cover all this shit when we have proof of turning our keys in and not being there the entire time... these guys are ridiculous... believe me it ain't worth living here... read more

I live at these apartments, moved in about 2 months ago. Let me tell you. The parking situation here SUCKS!!!! If you come after 5pm good luck finding a spot, the best you'll find is a spot on the completely other side of the complex. My boyfriend came home super late from work and there was not a single spot so he had no option but to park in handicapped- granted we see many cars park in handicapped everyday. The next day his car had been towed... when we called the office to find out what was going on, they (employee's name is Victor Saenz) told us "there's nothing we can do." We even asked if they could create more parking spots and they responded with "were not the owners", but you still work for the apartment complex and can file a complaint to the owners. Employee is just flat out rude and off putting. Very unsatisfied with their response and will be moving out very soon. DO NOT MOVE HERE. read more

Really enjoy living here. The apartments are nice & neighbors don't really bother. It's pretty quiet at night but you can definitely hear neighbors walking above you. Doesn't both me too much. Unless you've gotten a parking spot, the parking is not too bad. There's a lot of uncovered options. Facilities are kept clean & they're on it about dog poop. The apartment has good amenities like a pool, clubhouse, and gym. Green areas, and close to schools and shopping centers, Are crossed by a speedway the Mountain View in Herriman. The administration is not addressing the complaints from renters, about the overflowed trash containers, pet owners not picking up after their dogs, people speeding in areas that are 10 mph, the lack of parking spaces, 6 to 10 people living in one apartment, constant noises, fights, party. Police round the complex every day, and more on weekends. They are using their rented garages to repair cars. The renters pay bills for the excessive use of water is for everyone and power from the common areas. Plus, the repair and cost of maintenance that more people bring to a community. That also makes it unsafe, constantly people wandering around the buildings waiting for their cars to be repaired. The administration knows this but did not take action. Rent has increased here in the last two years by 30%. Too expensive for the quality of life you will expect. Before you rent consider that they will charge you for cable, Internet, cover parking, garages, water that will be prorated, and maintenance. All this alone will add around $350 to your rent. Complaints are not listening and involving police in disturbances has become common, downgrading the safety, and family-friendly community that they want to reflect. read more

This is a horrible property to live at. The apartments are crap. My vacuum is a very nice very expensive vacuum and each time I vacuumed the carpet would just fall to pieces. Management is horrible they never return your calls or emails. When you need something fixed they never fixed it and mark the work order as completed, every month there is a "system error" and midway through the month you receive a notice on your door saying you've underpaid you're rent and you have 1-2 days to pay the difference or you receive a fee. Definitely not a good place to live. Let me start out with all the issues that we had with them. The parking is an absolute joke, and if you want a covered parking stall its an additional 20 bucks a month. Cars sit in the same parking stall for months... even the whole year I lived there with no movement and nothing done by management. Our water heater went out and we called and emailed for a work order... we didn't get a response for a week thus making it not livable seeing as how the water was freezing cold and the apartment was freezing. We asked for some of our rent to be taken off since we weren't even able to live in our own place because of the issue and they said there was nothing they could do about it. We got mold all in our window seals... and it was BAD. We called about that and all they said basically was tough luck and to make sure that's on your chore list every week. The manager is NEVER and I mean NEVER there so everything is left for the assistant mgr which nothing ever gets fixed. The staff NEVER knows what they are talking about. Its always back and forth. When we were figuring out our rent to move out we called because it was showing the full amount.. well make sure you call on that because it doesn't reflect what you really owe because they don't tell you unless you call them. They will cheat you out of your money. When we asked for the amount me and my roommate called separately and they gave us two different totals.. honestly this place is terrible and Im not even sure how they have people still living there. This apartment complex is an absolute mess. For starters, there is dog poop everywhere. No one cleans it up. The maintenance crew doesn't seem to have it together. The office staff is all over the place and very off putting. One staff member in particular, Victor, seems lazy and doesn't care about tenants well being. Don't even get me started on the parking situation. It's horrendous. Coming home from work at 7pm? You won't get a spot anywhere near your house. You can get a covered spot (which has a waitlist & you'll never get the spot) or a garage (where they tell you it won't be by your apartment at all). Just awful. Amazing staff and property, clean units, well maintained and the play areas are perfect for the kids

I have lived at Copperwood Apts (formerly Farm Gate) since May 2014. I have had a mixed experience, but overall, I am very satisfied. I looked at several different apt complexes throughout the SL valley before deciding on this one. The rent was average, the amenities were great, and they allowed pets. At first, the internet was awful but they have recently switched carriers and now we are getting up to 6-7mb/s downloads. We also had problems for a couple years with pet droppings not being properly disposed of properly by tenants, but since Copperwood took over, I haven't noticed them as much. Also, one of our neighbors had mold and as soon as the new management company took over, they fixed both the inside and outside of the apartment. The Farm Gate management let it sit for months and never did anything about it. We have had a few maintenance requests over the years and the repairmen have always come the next day to fix the problems. They were very courteous and friendly, too. Rent increases and lease changes have been acceptable every time we have signed. So overall, my husband and I have had a good experience at Copperwood in Herriman. The only complaint I have had is trying to call the office to ask a question. They rarely answer the phone, so I have to walk over to the office to talk to them personally. That's not that big of a deal, but when you want a quick, convenient answer, it can be frustrating. read more

I have lived here for 11 months and have had to call maintenance about a dozen times so far. The water heater went out twice, A/C went out twice and is currently out, toilets are cheap, don't flush and leak, the ice maker in the fridge broke, etc. Early on when something broke, I'd put in a work order and wait for days. Nobody would respond, so I'd call the emergency maintenance number. Still no reply, so I'd go to the office and complain. Only then would someone finally show up to "fix" the problem, but nothing has ever been offered for my trouble. I still have leaky toilets that don't flush after multiple maintenance visits. There are lots of dog owners here and they don't clean up after their pets. I won't let my kids play in the common areas because they come home with dog poop all over their shoes every time. Garbage isn't picked up frequently enough. Piles of garbage are often stacked next to the trash bins. It is disgusting. I will be moving in a month when my lease is up. read more

WATCH OUT! It's true, management does post 5 stars on this, not real. This place even under new management are CROOKS. Be prepared that after 3 months of moving out they bill you with Fees. This place is horrible. Stay away if you can. Also good luck getting ahold of them. Never answer the phones. read more

Really enjoy living here. The apartments are nice & neighbors don't really bother. It's pretty quiet at night but you can definitely hear neighbors walking above you. The neighbor is very quiet. read more
