They test drive her car and gave it a thorough inspection. The fix was easy and they didn't try to take advantage of her not knowing much about cars. They were patient and talk her through it all. We were looking to purchase a 2006 Subaru Outback from a local dealer and wanted it inspected. I spoke with Darrin and arranged to have the car dropped off at his shop the next day. I was quoted $87 for this service which is great. Ray called me back with details afterwards and it was a material help in negotiation. We did not purchase the vehicle (due to unrelated circumstances) however I had fully planned to have the work done at Jerry's as we live 3 hours away and it had been a pleasurable experience. SEEM NICE BUT DISHONEST! Darren the owner quoted a price of $250 to change the transmission fluid and the price after the work was done was over $400. Darren quoted a price of $3500 to rebuild the transmission and said it would take 2 weeks. I had not heard from the shop after 2 weeks so I called for an update. I was told by Darren that he had been DRIVING my car, without my permission, and didn't find anything wrong. I asked him again to have the transmission checked out. When I called 2 days later I was told by Frank that the transmission did need to be replaced at a cost of $4700 - $1200 more than Darren quoted me! When I mentioned the price difference, Frank's response was he didn't know where Darren got the price, but it wasn't right. I could not speak to Darren because he was ill. I was frustrated and annoyed so I picked up my vehicle and will have the work done elsewhere. read more

It's a shame because I like the people and supporting a small business but Jerry's has wasted our time a money. Three problems on two vehicles that were "fixed" and now having to go to the dealership to fix. One was a coolant hose where I found coolant on the floor of my garage again and now our other car is back at the dealership where Jerry's (Darrin's) didn't know the car had three engine clamps instead of two. I'm sure they know older cars but so far nothing past 2015. Giving them 2 stars because they are nice people and I'm sure are having a hard time finding people like everyone else. My mechanic prior was closing up shop to move out of state. He refered me to Jerry's Auto Repair and I'm extremely happy that he did. I bought a truck from a friend that needed work but was getting the run around from Ford and he had a bad experience. He ended up giving it to me really cheap and I took it over to Jerry's and no problem he got it up and running without it over heating. Months later my brother in law took his vehicle over there and was met with the same great service. Now this is almost a year later my wife was driving my Avalon and lost power when trying to accelerate. Towed it to Jerry's and within a few days it was back up and running. Affordable too, whenever your car needs the mechanic you begin to worry how much it's going to cost. I feel confident and in good hands when I bring my vehicle here. Yesterday my brakes have been making the sound that its gone to far and now my rotors are shot. My wife is on the way to pick up the car now all 4 brakes and rotors completed and for a very good price. Definitely have my family's business and will continue to bring my cars here. read more

We are fortunate to live nearby - I can actually walk there though they offer a ride every time. Their work is a 5 and their customer service impeccable - a 5 of course. Service, price is fair and they get the job done and never had any problem for issue. When there was, due to product, not workmanship - they continued to take care of the issue at no cost (a tire that wanted to go flat). It wasn't their fault. They go out of the way to take care of their customers. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Remember though, they treat their employees well by closing at 6pm Mon-Fri - no weekend work! read more

I want to make this as informative as possible, not just an angry rant. I will start with this, I think their service is very good. The guys at the front were super nice and easy to talk to. However, here's where I run to a problem with this company. I took my car in to get the clutch and flywheel done, as my clutch was about 11 years old at this point. They also advised I get a new CV axle boot and transmission mount, which I purchased because I felt it would make the car last longer. I was called about 3 days later (7 hours of labor, but I understood because they had a lot of jobs) stating my car was done. When I got to the location, I saw the car was still in the shop, hood was up. So I walked up to the mechanics and they told me they broke a wire... OK, so now I have to wait longer for the car. I figured it wasn't that much longer, maybe 20 minutes to an hour. 2 and a half hours go by, and they finally finished it. However, they stated theI car wouldn't idle worth a damn, even though this wasn't an issue before. They also said there was no misfire codes for the CEL, which sounded weird to me. However, I picked up the car, and paid about $1,100 for the entire job. Immediately, as I started the car, I noticed it idled very, very poorly. Still, I had to go back to work so I dealt with it. A day goes by, and now the check engine light is flashing, which indicates major engine failure. So I try reaching out to Jerry's for 2 days, and they dodge my calls. No reply to my voice-mails, and even when they did pick up, they hung me up instantly. At this point, I am very frustrated at the situation, given that they practically killed my car. So I took matters in my own hands and go to read my CEL codes, because something was fishy. I noticed my Zus code reader, which connects to my phone, was missing from the car. So I borrowed one of my friend's code readers and discover 9 CEL codes, 8 of which were for misfires. It was also running very lean. So I had the car towed to my local AAA shop, and looked over. To do a diagnostic there, I had to pay another $130 to see what was happening. Turns out, Jerry's and their mechanics placed all of the intake hoses in the wrong spots. I mean all the hoses. Because of their sloppy work, I had to pay more money to fix a very major problem that had a very easy fix. Overall, I will never go here again. Even if the service was great, they almost completely ruined my car. read more

Had a problem. I brought one of my cars in for disc pads/rotor replacement. Everything went well. I'll keep this factual. Next visit I brought another car in for a water pump replacement and a power steering pump leak problem. The car was brought in early Thursday morning. Yes, they're closed Sunday and Monday but I thought it'd be done by Friday. It wasn't. Total repair time would normally be 3-4 hours labor. It ended up being finished at closing time the following Wednesday evening, six days later. Lots of excuses pertaining to the delay. The power steering pump was replaced. The car still leaked power steering fluid when it was parked. Many oil spots on my driveway. I drove it up on ramps at my house to inspect but the fluid was everywhere so not easy to find the source of the leak. I returned it to Jerry's Auto Repair and left it one day. I was told that they replaced a spring clamp with a hose clamp. Not really true as there was already a single hose clamp on the fluid supply hose that I observed when I inspected it prior to bringing it in. Brought the car home. It still leaked. Here's where it gets interesting. I ended up removing the right front tire for a brake inspection at home at a later date. I found that one of the lug nuts was installed cross-threaded and didn't want to come off. They removed the same wheel to obtain access to the power steering pump for replacement. I finally got that one off. Then, I found ANOTHER cross threaded lug nut. It was really stuck. I took the car to another repair place and it was stripped so badly that the wheel stud broke off trying to get the lug nut off. I had them replace two studs. It appears that an impact wrench was used to put the lug nuts on because they couldn't have been cross threaded and stripped that badly with a hand wrench installation. The car still leaked power steering fluid so I took it to another repair place. I didn't want to waste anymore time with this business. I already spent 7 days trying to get it repaired. I needed the car fixed correctly. The new power steering pump was the source of the second time it leaked. It was leaking between the seam that joined the two castings of the power steering pump. I ended up spending about $650 more to get the problem fixed and damage caused by the business repaired. Nice people but I'm not going to be taking my cars to them anymore. read more

Many years ago we started going there when Darren fixed my Ford Expedition and did a great repair and save me a lot of money. I had to say goodbye to my last mechanic due to a customer satisfaction issue. I don't take those issues lightly and never magnify issues because the shop didn't pick up the phone in 2.3 rings or didn't call me back in 2.3 minutes. But, once I am gone, you'll wipe your eyes from the dust cloud and drop a tear because I won't be back. I used to pick clients up in the old days from Jerry's Auto Repair for business purposes... "back in the 90s" ... you know, "the good old days." Well, I saw several recommendations on social media for Jerry's Auto Repair recently. So, I thought I'd give it a try. Apparently, Darren is the new Jerry. Hey, it's 2018 ... people change. Jerry, I mean Darren, was very forthright and quoted pricing with product details. I felt like he wanted my business. I know because he provided a competitve price, was confident in his product and service, and guaranteed it. Little did I know he has a small city of cars in his back lot of those that have come before me for that same list of important business features. I walked next door for breakfast and to get some work done. He then called me with the bad news ... front and back brakes. Yeah, right ... right? Well, I went back over and he raised the car and showed me so I could see for myself--no questions asked. If you brake like I do ... there is this still small voice inside that says ... "Yep, you destroyed all four. Get them replaced." So, I took out a small loan ... and, had him fix all four brakes. Was it expensive? For me, yes. But, his pricing was better than every other shop I called. And, I Yelp and Good A LOT -- pricing matters. The team finished the job and I was off to work. Okay, people give them a full day to get your service done ... you know they have to get the parts ordered, get the parts delivered, and then put the parts on the car. No one likes having an issue with their car - Especially right before the holiday season. Having a power steering feedback issue with gears grinding feels and sounds costly and unfortunate. Happening on a Friday with most places closed on Saturdays is a double-whammy if you need your car first thing Monday morning to get back to work. Here is why: I stopped by with brake problems on New Years week, knowing it might be a few days to get my car back so I made plans around that fact. I walked in to see Darren (owner) talking to parts distributor over the phone very angry that the parts he asked for and confirmed we're going to arrive had not arrived (it was 3:00pm). I overheard excuses of "well it's a holiday week," his response was "look you are open, I don't care if it's a holiday in 3 days! I got confirmation that I would get it this morning. I talked to you guys last week and now it's an issue?" The conversation went on until they said they would deliver it the next day. The other thing is, I planned to pay and pickup on Friday, to which he said, well I won't be here that day because I'm having minor surgery that day. HE'S WORKING UP UNTIL HIS DAY OF SURGERY. He said he likes his job and didn't want his customers to feel just because it's a holiday week, he is giving less than he normally would. Once he found the issue and fixed it, he gave me the best price ($590) on replacing brakes and two rotors for my car. I checked by calling a few places and yes, nobody beats him for brakes. The car was ready the next day, even though by the time it was done, I was out of town with friends. Any shop that has a sense of good work ethic, integrity, and honesty is hard to find, so I completely recommend this shop! read more

My left headlight was not working, as well as my left fog light. My fiance looked on yelp to find a reliable, honest repair shop. My fiance found Jerry's and decided to go with him. The first person we spoke to was Darrin. Right away he told us he wouldn't spend our money without letting us know why it was being spent and how it will be applied. He told us that he wasn't booking any more appointments that day but if we leave the car with him all day, he will get it done. I always am hesitant of auto repair shops. I feel that because I am a girl and I do not know about cars, they will make me overspend and give me a bologna reason to spend it. Boy was I wrong in this case. My fiance and I received a call a few hours later stating that it would be this much to repair the light, this is why, and it will be done today if we give him the green light. Happy with the price and timing, we agreed. Within the next hour or so, my car was done. PLUS, Darrin found that there was some sort of electrical shortage somewhere and he fixed it without charging me for it! He saved me nearly $100 dollars for the labor and extra repair at no cost. He never tries to up sell me, He just tells it like it is. One time the dealer convinced me that I had a blown head gasket, I went to Jerry's to see if they would do it for less. All I can say is WOW! I came to Darrin and the guys at Jerry's for the first time a year ago to get the AC fixed on my Lexus and Darrin did a fantastic job without trying to up sell me on anything. Next I just brought Darrin my GMC that has 80K miles for a brake cable repair and a tail gate latch repair and never had brakes done or a full tune up. Darrin fixed the cable and latch for so cheap I was shocked!!! Then he calls me telling me I didn't need brakes that pads still had 40% (I know it's crazy Darrin said it was crazy too), he said plugs were in good shape, air filter looked good, and all he recommended was a fuel injector clean to get better gas mileage while making the truck run better! Now that's a CLASS ACT! He easily could have sold me on the tune up and brakes but he is an honest stand up guy that does fantastic work!! Like Darrin always says "I just treat people the way I'd want to be treated" and let me tell ya guys he does!! Don't bring you vehicles any where else!
