Here are some quick facts:…read more-It does service three boroughs: Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens -"In June 2025, internal MTA documents were leaked, indicating that a proposal to reroute M trains through the 63rd Street Tunnel and reroute F trains through the 53rd Street Tunnel would be presented for approval in fall 2025. If approved, the route swap would be this December" The 63rd Street station is overcrowded. Maybe this swap will also improve service in the F line - The M line allows one to explore Middle village, specifically Ridgewood l, Queens. Ridgewood is on my radar to visit frequently due to some really great restaurants located there - Pleasantly surprised to see live agent at the Forest Avenue station. He was courteous and professional when I asked for directions -"is a rapid transit service in the B Division of the New York City Subway. Its route emblem, or "bullet", is colored orange since it is a part of the IND Sixth Avenue Line in". I'm unsure of the emblem "bullet"'or rapid. Whenever I had ridden the M it's quite slow. I took the Long Island Rail Road into Woodside and the transfer could not have been easier. The bus stop is right there off Roosevelt Ave, basically under the 7 train station and right near a Dunkin, so there's no wandering around trying to figure things out. What really stands out is how straightforward the whole process feels. No weird detours, no unnecessary stops. You get on, it moves. Within just a few stops, the bus jumps straight onto the Brooklyn Queens Expressway and from there it's a direct shot to LaGuardia Airport. I was there in about 20 minutes, maybe even less, which is kind of insane considering it's New York and you're heading to an airport. The fact that it's free just makes it even better. No metro card swipe, no extra cost, just get on and go. For once, everything worked exactly how you'd want it to. It's efficient, easy to find, and actually fast. Hard to say that about most things transit related here, but this one delivers.

It's a free service serving Terminal B and Terminal C, and takes you to the subway station at Roosevelt Ave/74th Street where you can catch multiple subway lines such as the E, F, M, R, 7. I found plenty of signage at Terminal C today telling us where the pickup/drop off area was. Busses run every 6-10 minutes. Bus does get crowded and takes around 20 minutes or so depending on traffic to get to the subway station so standing might be an option.

This station was just recently refurbished and I would likely have given it at least four stars…read moreexcept for what I will mention near the end of this review. As part of the renovation, they removed the ramps that led down to Fresh Pond Road and 62 Street and replaced them with stairs. This was a good choice. Those old ramps were awkward to use, too steep for wheelchairs and had a few stairs once you turned the corner thereby rendering them unusable to people who use wheelchairs anyway. With the renovation you can now get in much closer to the Fresh Pond Road side of the platform because they put in a new swipe access entry point there. Before, you had to walk almost to the far east end to swipe your card. This additional entry is a BIG improvement. They also put in a nice mosaic in the station. It appears to depict a bedroom with furniture. Also new are glass block enclosures around the stairs leading down from the platform to the level where the Metrocard machines and ticket agent are located. These enclosures are sort of interesting to look at and I would rate them as satisfactory. The platform itself is now nice, new and smooth as opposed to junky, old and crumbly. Hurrah! Okay, so if everything's now hunky-dory here, why only one star? THEY HAVE REMOVED ALL (YES ALL) OF THE TRASH CANS! It would seem this removal of trash cans is to punish people who used to allegedly leave household trash in the trash cans that used to be in the station. Well guess what, now there's trash all over the platform AND on the tracks. According to the MTA itself, these actions attract vermin and the latter can cause track fires. Who's running the show here, somebody's pet raccoon?

Better after going through a renovation a few years back. It serves the L and M Trains. This is a good place for making a transfer. Get on the L below ground. This one runs more often. Get on the M above ground. This one won't come as often. It kind of is a sketchy area. It's improving. There's a few restaurants and stores.

The surrounding area…read moredoesn't look all too pleasant, but there's usually a group of fellow travelers waiting for the Q70-SBS bus which will take you to the airport. There are plenty of signs at the station that tell you where to wait for that bus and which terminal to go for each airline. FYI, this bus is currently fare-free.
