Terrible. They claimed to find us a great employee with experience, come to find out they never did any due diligence, just found their resume online. The employee was hired based on the assumption that they were qualified. a year later this employee has caused of thousands of dollars in damages and issues. I'd worked with the Bachrach Group for the first time in 2019 and their team hooked me up with an amazing gig while I was looking for full time work. When I reached out to them again in 2020, their staffer Lauren Buonopane was the best teammember from their organization!! She consistently looked for a role that best suited my prior experience and she was very attentive, always calling me and coordinating interviews or follow-ups when she could. She was extremely dedicated, despite the Covid-19 pandemic effecting the workforce I'd re-entered late 2020. Ms. Buonopane found the perfect professional fit for me in my current adminstrative role and coordinated the details of my start with the new company very fluidly, as I had no problems fitting into my new role and she was there for me every step of the way as I began my new career. I would definitely recommend this agency and their team. I was referred to TBG by a close friend who has used them in the past for his company. I had just left my previous position, and was starting the job search. I was introduced to Lauren Buonopane on my first day visiting the firm. We had a conversation about my goals, what I was looking for, what I needed in my next position, and my previous experience. After being placed in a job that was very wrong for me and spending a miserable, miserable year there, I responded to a LinkedIn listing that Chelsea had posted for a position that sounded much more appropriate for my skills and experience. I dealt with Anthony in the Fall of 2022. Anthony is the director of the Bachrach Group. He deaded me after I wasn't interested in the 1 job he had to offer me. Even after I told him multiple times that I wasn't interested in a particular job, he still insisted that I go for it. The job he was trying to set me up with was supposed to send me a test to take, which never happened. The job proved to be very unreliable. Once the job didn't go through and I told Anthony that i wasn't further pursuing the job, I never heard from Anthony again. I do not recommend this company at all!! read more

Experiences with staffing and recruiting agencies is very much dependent on several external factors - you're background, your willingness to make yourself available for interviews, your open-mindedness to new companies and/or new industries and most importantly - your relationship with the recruiter. Sure, recruiters don't have the best reputation - however you try banging out cold-calls all day and searching for companies who will solicit your assistance in filling their roles with someone who embodies 95% of a client's requirements - all while several candidates are calling, emailing and coming in and each one wants to be treated like they are the most important person in the room. A huge part of a recruiter's annual salary usually involves commission and hustling hard on behalf of their client's and candidates to jump through hoops in order to make a placement (ie. deal) and get that money (and ultimately keep their own jobs). Anyone who's reviewed Bachrach Group and implied that their recruiters don't work hard is SORELY mistaken... I do not work here, I have never worked here and I've fortunately been able to secure my own jobs in the past 5+ years so I haven't used Bachrach's services from the candidate angle, but I have used their services from the client's side and I've gotta say, they've been a godsend. I'm a part of a really awesome company's in-house talent acquisition team and I lead all recruitment strategy and efforts for our tech and product departments. Prior to this I did the same with tech, product, editorial, ad operations, ad sales, media planners, digital marketing peeps, production, a sprinkle of finance...you get the idea. With my supporting so many teams at my previous company, it wasn't unheard of for me to have 40+ open roles on my plate and it makes it really hard to provide a fantastic experience to each hiring manager when you are juggling so much - in comes outside agencies and in my case Bachrach Group helped me out many times. I've had the pleasure of working predominantly with Anthony Fanzo + his tech team and they have absolutely exceeded my expectations and gone above and beyond the call of duty to provide me with qualified and interested talent, made sure to not drop the ball in terms of communication and were very trustworthy in making sure that the messaging from my company was consistent and reliable when it came to sensitive topics such as salary negotiations or unfavorable feedback. They worked very hard on behalf of their candidates and didn't simply drop em' if they received negative feedback after a client interview. Instead a superior recruiter would use that as an opportunity to provide mentoring and career advising to ensure that candidates knew the best was to present themselves and do something with that negative feedback so that they could improve for their next interview. Of course jobs aren't simply just hanging off of trees waiting to be taken, as with many things in life - recruiting agencies are best utilized using a "help me help you" mentality. If you don't trust your recruiter is working hard for you and you're not honest with the wins and challenges of your job search, then don't expect favorable results from any agency. I've known several people here for years and their tech recruiting team only employs people who understand the industry, keep their knowledge of tech relevant through social media and are skilled at sales - while not losing their souls in the process. Bachrach has also over the years undergone lots of management changes. Anthony now serves as the Managing Director for the tech recruiting team who staffs for everything tech from full-time, contract all the way to temp to perm. If you work hard and are hungry then Bachrach will be able to help you and before you roll your eyes, it takes work to find work so while you're busy huffing, puffing and writing negative Yelp reviews because recruiters can't find you a job, think about what's wrong with you because they're working which means they must be doing something right and placing candidates that ARE doing all the right things. read more

I was about to give up all hope on finding a job through an agency. I was getting tired of the emails and callbacks from agencies telling me they think they have a great job for me that I would be interested in, and if I can come in for an interview to meet the agency. Then after the interview was over, there was radio silence after. No follow up, no job, nothing. Then, Lauren Buonopane reached out to me. At first, I wanted to cancel on her and tell her I'm not interested for all the false hope prior agencies have given me. But after talking to her for awhile, I knew she wasn't bullshitting me (excuse my language). Chelsea Kim is absolutely the worst recruiter in this agency. She reached out to me initially via LinkedIn and I had expressed to her how desperate I was to change career paths. She scheduled a meeting with me and then postponed it. Once I finally was able to come in to meet with her, her assistant or whatever you may call her came out to meet with me because apparently Chelsea was busy doing something else. Why reschedule a meeting with me just to wind up never meeting me? Her assistant then promised to send over a various list of job opportunities and even showed me her friend's Instagram account telling me how he has such a great job doing what he loves and how she can help me achieve the same. I never got a follow up email from Chelsea's assistant and even when I sent Chelsea numerous emails she never responded! If you can find a different staffing agency, please go with them because this one is completely unprofessional and a WASTE of time. read more

Long story short, after that interview I never heard from her again I wanted to follow up. So I left a voicemail and a few emails over the span of a week or two. I haven't heard back from that recruiter, nor do I plan to continue to attempt to contact anyone at the company This is of course to be expected anytime after interviewing with a temp agency, or any company for that matter. But I respect honesty, so if my skills don't match up with what your company caters to, or you're too busy to deal with me, let me know so I can pursue other opportunities. This company kept me working at a great mid-town law firm. The pay is great and it ended up becoming a permanent job with a better salary and benefits! Highly recommend. I never met with such a cold recruiter. She knew I didnt have a bachelors degree over the phone but insisted I come in to meet with her. In person she then asks me why wont I get it. Then she brings in her associate Virginia Lee because I guess Sarah was too busy to continue to speak to me. Then ushers me right out of their office which is set up like the trading floor on wall street. Dont waste your time applying to their fake job ads on LinkedIN. As a former temp employee, I can give a first hand account of this agencies treatment of temps. They post of Craiglist poaching for new applicants, pick the best and the brightest from the resume pool, bring you in to their office, where you wait an eternity and are hyped up for a "great job." Problem is, these people get the bottom of the barrel type of jobs - shady contractors, independent companies, horrid work conditions etc. I got the feeling the agency is not able to maintain great corporate clients so they pick up whatever shady clients they can get their grubby hands on. Thus, sending you, the highly qualified applicant to a dank, wretched office in the middle of nowhere'sville, Brooklyn with terrible bosses, god-awful pay and sometimes co-workers that may or may not have passed their GED or have been paroled in the last year. At one assignment, I saw the previous temp had earned a dollar more than my pay rate. Needless to say, these people are not the place to get a respectable job with decent money. Another FYI for general temp agency job hunting - if the agency you are interviewing with has 1) LOADS OF FLAGGED REVIEWS, 2) is located in a squalid side street of Midtown with no lobby/security officer, 3) the office space is smaller than 1000 square feet, the back office looks like it's circa 1989 (grey cubicles and old, shoddy computers), 40 no after-hours answering service and 5) the agent mentions only one job prospect (cause that's all they got), RUN! read more
