I love the bagel bar the food and coffee is great! Love getting breakfast here! BUT they have the one cashier she's short with brown hair and brown eyes. She always makes me feel like I have no idea what I'm talking about and makes me feel very dumb. I've worked in customer service since I was a teenager and I would never talk to a customer like that even if they were making no sense, which I wasn't. I just hope someone sees this and corrects the problem because the only thing that kept me from giving the bagel bar a five start review is her. read more

They make amazing breakfast sandwiches are do it pretty fast. It's a nice atmosphere to relax in. I love the egg and western works on a poppy seed bagel, can't say I've ever gotten much else. They also have coffee and the like, but that's never why I go. read more

Bagels are pretty good and the selection is about 12-15 different kinds, plus bagel sandwiches. Prices are okay but it's CASH ONLY! They have an ATM in the place but it charges fees. Small place with call ahead ordering which is nice but could use a credit card option. read more

I ordered a garlic bagel with a bacon egg and cheese and it was delicious! The place is somewhat small but has a lot of culture in one bite, great for breakfasts for kutztown students. Located on the main road, there's parking behind the building if you want to eat in. read more

Bagel bar has fresh bagels delivered everyday and is probably one of the few establishments in the area that have a good to-go breakfast. I've read that some people complain about the wait for food, but keep in mind the employees complete them in order taken (plus call ins) - not by who got what,etc. Besides that they have gift cards available and accept credit cards as well as cash. Love the Bagel Bar! It's just a little place, long and narrow, but -- oh, what great bagels and great coffee! I go every time I'm in Kutztown for the breakfast hour! Bagels very fresh, just the right chewiness, reasonable prices. Nice variety of coffees -- though no free refills. :( I can see why, though, in this college town -- the kids would study here and never leave! As it is, it is a VERY popular place for the college kids, but they are not disturbing -- but definitely a favorite place for them. So, to me, it shows they have great taste! read more

I was driving around with my boyfriend yesterday morning looking for some place new to have breakfast and my boyfriend suggested this little place. I was surprised at the variety of bagels offered as well as the sandwiches and beverages. We both had the N.Y. Lox Bagel which came with an ample amount of cream cheese, smoked salmon, and tomato (hold the onion for us). We each also had orange juice and regular coffee. Of course the smoked salmon kicked up the price for meal but it wasn't over-priced and the quality was good. My boyfriend commented it was a lot of cream cheese but like I said, "There is no such thing as too much cream cheese when it comes to a bagel!" Service was prompt and polite, since it was a weekend it was quiet and we could have sat there for a while if we didn't have stuff to do that day. I'm not normally in the area, but if I'm back I'd head back there in a heartbeat! read more

i'm big on service, at least a smile. the 'one guy' that was on, that made sure we knew he was the 'only one there' (even though there was only a few people in the place and they were all served already so it was just the two of us, my husband and I ordering) so, I felt like a burden within seconds of walking in the door for the very first time ever. there was no coffee ready and that was explained to us beause he was the ONLY ONE THERE. I get it. so....i was excited that they have real bagels. and lox. those were good. in the future if I ever need the place again, I will probaby get bagels to go. I'm really not difficult to please, but I do not like spending my money someplace where I feel like I am a pain just being there. read more

The food is decent but the service is absolutely terrible. I went in ordered before several groups of people and didn't get my food nearly 20 minutes after them. If you get a bagel with cream cheese they put about a half inch on each half. No exaggeration at all. Get breakfast at lettermans or Dunkin donuts instead... I've been to bagel bar dozens of times each time hoping service improves but the past two months I've been there about 5 times each time was worse than the last. read more

I wanted to really like this place....unfortunately the help....which are very nice....don't exactly know how inconvenient it is to......wait ......and wait......and wait....for the order....they are super busy at times....but I'm not sure they understand their customers delemma....like we may not have all day to wait until they get the order ready......there is something else that is odd.....they just keep taking orders instead of having the two people working on getting the existing orders out to the customers......the tall guy and the blond girl are the most efficient....but again everyone is hard working and nice..... read more

If your going to name your restaurant after the main food product you sell, that food better be good. And The Bagel Bar is not doing it for me. I went to bagel bar a couple times freshman year and I won't go back ever again. First off the bagels are not that fresh or good to be calling your company the Bagel Bar. Also they do not put nearly as much cream cheese as they should. And there eggs in there egg sandwiches are trash , they are soft and spongy like McDonald's , actually worse than McDonald's, and it wasn't even warm. Bagels are pretty good, but the main reason for 3 stars is that sometimes there's only 1 girl working in the morning and she is always overwhelmed! More staff would definitely help and it seems like there is enough traffic to have two people to keep things moving. read more
