Ahhh where do I begin? Letterman's was a staple for me in college and many other students at Kutztown University. It's been almost 10 years since my last visit so I had to see if it was as good as I remembered or if my drunken taste buds all those years ago got the best of me. We'll, let me say it's just a delicious as I remembered. I mean it's breakfast gem. I've been to many fancy brunches at Instagram worthy restaurants and most of them can't hold a candle to the quality of Letterman's. I ordered what was my favorite meal in college the Deluxe Cheesesteak Omelette (peppers, onions, bacon, steak, and cheddar cheese) and it comes with a side of hash browns and toast. It's still the top 3 omelettes I've had and it's not 3 or 2. Beyond the food being delicious the prices are standard for breakfast. believe nothing is really over $15 but the amount of food you get is massive. There's no way you can eat your entire meal in a single setting. Speaking of settings Letterman's is a VERY small diner. If you snag a table you're going to be a bit more comfy because at the main counter (bar stool seating) you will be elbow to elbow with whomever is next to you. !!!!IMPORTANT!!!! While the food is amazing upon looking at other reviews I decided to take a look at their Facebook page. I'm assuming the owner of the restaurant is in control of these page and is extremely out of touch with the current social and political climate that is affecting Black people in America. I'm not going to call him a racist because I only did a surface level dig but a lot of what he supports is anti Black. While there my experience wasn't bad with him or his staff but I expect that's a front. As much as I love the food I like to be fully transparent in my reviews and I will not be supporting his establishment in the future. There are several all lives matter, support the blue, trump 2020, and posts bashing protesters. Do with it what you want.

My husband I tried this place for the first time and we're not disappointed. The food is amazing and everyone was really nice & friendly. My husband and I got the stuffed hashbrowns and it was absolutely amazing. This if definitely our new favorite spot. We will be bringing our kids here next time we're in the area.

I went to Letterman's for breakfast while I was in town for work. Let me start by saying the portions are HUGE! I ordered the combo #5 which. I thought it was going to be a standard, 2 eggs, a slice of toast, some hash with 2 slices of bacon. Boy was I wrong! Food was great, service was good--But beware, PPE and social distance isn't not a thing inside the diner. It's small with a few tables against the wall and bar seating directly across. I sat far away from other customers but the diner quickly filled up, customer came in and sat right next to me on both sides. No one was wearing a mask at the diner either except me so just keep that in mind.

i liked the vibe of a small diner on a corner and getting served at a bar. however wasn't that good. french toast was wacked. so dry

Great place. Stopped here in 2010 on my way to JFK for my trip to Israel. I am having a Kraków omlette.

This is one of the best breakfast books. Kutztown is on the way from HARRISBURG to NYC. I stopped there years ago by chance. Last time I ate there it was just as good as I remembered. Today, on the way to Long Island I have every intention to stop there again.

The food was not good and the service was worse. I highly advise again going here. There are much better places around.

The portions were large and reasonably priced, and tasted very fresh and flavorful. The menu provides multiple options and a nice variety of which will certainly make you want to come back to try something new and different. My one daughter loved the pizza which was made with care and consideration for her allergies. It was larger than she expected and she was able to take half home for another satisfying meal. My other daughter stated she semi-enjoyed the shepherds pie, which had large chunks of beef in it. She liked the texture but felt that the gravy was a bit too much/something was off. She did state she preferred the shepherds pie she got from Hershey Harvest better, but this was still good. I loved my crab cake, broccoli, and onion rings. I thought the food was excellently prepared and flavorful. My only complaint was I got too full and couldn't eat it all. I would certainly order it again. The atmosphere is casual and has an average noise level. I appreciate the spacious dining area which gives ample room for guests to not feel rushed or claustrophobic. It was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was also clean, well maintained, and well stocked. My plan is to certainly return in the future and try some other items on the menu. (There were quite a number of items which caught our eyes and made it difficult to choose.)

What I got was not even anywhere close to medium rare. It was very overcooked and very well done. The server was apologetic. I said it was "fine". Not her fault. I tried and ate half, but couldn't do the rest. I left disappointed (and still hungry).

The atmosphere, so cute with interesting history. The saloon is a bit small but nice. The bar had approximately 12 seats but they also have four or five high tops in the room. We sat at one of the high tops because the bar was full when we got there. They have a few tv's throughout the bar. The ladies bathroom could use to be updated but it certainly is horrible. The dining room area seemed a little underwhelming. That said there were a lot of people dining so people must like it. My husband and I prefer cozy pub areas. Our bartender greeted us immediately. Even though his bar was full he came right over, said hello, cleaned our table, set the table, and brought our drinks. That was a great start. He was very attentive. If you've read any of my other reviews, you will notice the theme...great service is so super important to me. This place did not disappoint. We ordered Jim Beam and Diets doubles, they were definitely stiff pours which was perfect. My husband ordered the Prime Rib Haus (beef sandwich) with hand cut fries. He cleaned his plate. That said, he said that could've given him more au jus. No problem there, he could've asked for more if he needed it. He also mentioned that he felt the beef had a bit of a frozen taste. The reason he thought that is because they only make prime rib Friday and Saturday. He didn't think he got the fresh prime rib, perhaps it was last weekend's frozen leftover. He would order something different next time. I ordered the Filet Mignon burger. I really enjoyed my burger. The caramelized onions and mushrooms were yummy. The burger was cooked perfectly. The hand cut fries were very good. My only issue was they were called peppercorn Parmesan fries. I assumed they would have peppercorn Parmesan sprinkled on them. They actually had a peppercorn Parmesan dressing drizzled over them. I would get regular fries next time. So...overall we had a very nice experience. We will definitely be back. I would recommend checking them out. Thank you Bowers Hotel for a lovely evening!

Bowers is famous for its hot pepper fest, but the hotel remains true to local Pennsylvania Dutch fare. It's quaint, historic and has the best homemade desserts. After our first meal there my partner asked if I was interested in dessert. I said, I was craving something coconut. He laughed and said they won't have anything like that. Well they had 3, coconut pie, coconut cake and coconut pudding which was delicious and more like cake. That sealed the deal for me, so here we are back again. I started with a cocktail which is rare for me. The Brandy Daisy was delightfully refreshing. I had the special grilled cheese. A spectacular creation starting with brioche, spread with pesto, layered with ham, bacon, cheddar, lettuce and tomato. I declined the egg which would have been too much for me. The house made chips were thick and crisp and seasoned really well. Partner had the schnitzel (I got his salad). The mashed potatoes were oddly brown. But quite delicious as was the veal, I had to taste both. We were fat and happy so we had to take dessert to go. Coconut walnut cake was moist and delicious packed with all the goodies. Buttercream iced 3 layer chocolate reminded me of my Pop Pop's. It was late, there were only 2 other tables so we had all the attention we needed. Starting to notice a growing disparity between cost and quality. This was a fine meal for the price, nearly equal to the one the night before which cost twice as much. So I included the bill
