I stopped by Bagels & Co a couple times over the past few weeks and wasn't "wowed". Having been here plenty of times, I love seeing what new bagels and schmears that have. While their bagels are not New York styled by any means, they do fix a craving for bagels. The inside is still kept clean and the service is still good. Staff is accommodating and pretty friendly. I prefer ordering online as it is very easy and you can even earn rewards! I stopped by on two different occasions recently to try some of their cream cheese specials. They included the Caesar Cream Cheese and Pimento Cream Cheese. I was super excited to try these as they are both unique, bold flavors. I ordered the pimento cream cheese on a toasted salt bagel--big mistake. The salt bagel was HEAVILY salted with thick sea salt. The schmear itself was also saltier, which is fine, but paired with salt bagel it was just too much. I tried eating it but genuinely couldn't due to the amount of salt on the bagel...even upon scraping it off I couldn't. When I told one of the workers she gladly took the bagel and offered to replace it with a different bagel. I ended up getting a poppyseed bagel with the pimento cream cheese and this was much better. This was really nice of them to do and I greatly appreciated it. Another example of how good their service is! I really liked the pimento cream cheese and it went perfectly with the flavors of the poppyseed bagel. The pimento flavor was just right and I liked the consistency of this cream cheese more than others I've had in the past. On another visit, I tried their Caesar Cream Cheese on a protein bagel. I enjoyed this schmear too, but not as much as the pimento one. The Caesar cream cheese had a strong Caesar taste for sure, it even featured bacon bits. But the cream cheese was really heavy and too salty. I feel like this would have been better on a bagel sandwich with deli meat or a wrap as opposed to just a bagel. It definitely needed to be paired with something else to cut down the bold flavor of the Caesar. I was also disappointed that I received a plain bagel when I ordered a "protein bagel". This wasn't a big deal, I just wish I had been notified that they were out of the protein bagel before I ordered. However, I ended up ordering the French toast sticks with this bagel and WOW were these amazing. Perfectly crispy, with a slight sweetness--perfection and I would HIGHLY recommend trying these! Overall, I still enjoy Bagels & Co and their wide variety. Like I've said before, not the most authentic bagels, but it is a fun experience that allows you to try some unique items. The consistency of the cream cheeses aren't always my favorite, as they are very dense with a distinct cream cheese flavor. But, I really enjoyed the pimento cream cheese and hope it returns. I will have to try the Caesar on a sandwich next time to get a better judgment of it. French toast sticks should not be missed as I would return for these alone! I will probably return to try more new items though. read more

Lots of options for both bagels and smears. Went with a French toast bagel and regular cream cheese smear. Really good and just enough smear to completely cover the bagel but not so much where it was overwhelming. Really yummy and recommend for quick breakfast pick up. The service was a little dry but everyone has an off day. read more

As a former New Yorker, I take bagels seriously. Argue with a New Yorker about bagels, pizza, or take-out Chinese and you will lose. Every time. Anyway... This new bagel spot has lines out the door, mostly because it's attached to several popular student apartment buildings. Location, location, location. But the bagels are actually better than decent. Are they on the same planet as a real New York City bagel? Absolutely not. But for Gainesville? Pretty solid. They've got a variety of bagels and schmears. Sweet and savory options. I went with a scooped out, toasted everything bagel with egg and cheese. Did it transport me back to Manhattan? No. Did it hit the spot? Yes. I'll take the win. Prepare to stand in a line long enough to question your life choices, but it moves fairly quickly. Order at the counter, wait for your name, and pray you score one of the rare indoor tables. Otherwise, take your bag and go live your best carb-filled life elsewhere. Bagels start at $2.50 (inflation) and go up depending on schmear and toppings. Despite my New Yorker-level skepticism, this place will do just fine. Gators love bagels! read more

Delicious bagels & so many cream cheeses. They open at 7, we were the first ones there because we were in town for an early day. I got the salt bagel with zataar cream cheese which was perfect--pretzel salt & plenty of cream cheese that wasn't melted. Also my daughter liked her lox bagel with scallion cream cheese. The iced lattes were good too. There are a few tables but we got our order to go. I would definitely go back next time in town--still craving a bagel that good! read more

This place just opened near my apartment so I've been super excited to try it! Since it is fairly new, the line is always a bit long but we went on a Saturday morning around 11am, and the line was kind of long but not too bad. Me and my friend ordered a savory bagel and a sweet bagel to split. They have a huge assortment of different specialty cream cheeses including cannoli, birthday cake, jalapeno cheddar, etc, all of which you are allowed to sample. We wanted the birthday cake cream cheese but sadly they were all out of it. We ended up getting the rainbow bagel with smore's cream cheese on it and a bagel sandwich with a hashbrown, egg, and sausage on an everything bagel. There are a lot of options to customize your bagel sandwich, and they have a lot of pre-made combos to choose from as well. The sandwich was so so good, and I definitely would go back and get it again. I also really liked the smore's cream cheese - and I'm not even a super big cream cheese fan - so recommend that as well. We did have to wait awhile, I think because something was going on with our order, so honestly I would go early. read more

I wish we had this near us. It was the best bagel experience I've ever had! The salmon and all the shear options were phenomenal.

Very good service. Staff is very kind and welcoming. They have veg cream cheese made from Tofu. It is really good. Bagels are fire too, lots of fun & unique flavs. Everyone that works there is a cutie pie. I wish this was a joke and that I took pieces of bacon and egg off but this is fr what they put on one side of my bagel. The other half had slightly more bacon but still way less than it should. Also just doesn't even taste good. It's a cream cheese shop not a bagel shop. Their cream cheese flavors are the only interesting thing about this place but who's waking up to go order an Oreo bagel with smores flavored cream cheese?
