Ok nothing special. Clearly, this is a matter of personal taste. The reviews of their other locations are very high. I personally was not that impressed. Donut has nice consistency, but very thick for something that has no fillings. They only have toppings, a number of different choices that all look tasty. The problem is putting something tasty on something that's OK doesn't make it that special. The service was personal and attentive. It is in the innovation centers, food truck location. On a hot summer day, not a line I would want to stand in. Glad I tried it, but won't be back

Parlor donuts has been on my radar for a little while now. So I was super excited when I found out one opened here in Gainesville. Located in the Midpoint Park & Eatery, this Parlor Donuts is a food truck. With that being said, they offer a slightly more abbreviated menu compared to the brick and mortar locations. The Midpoint Eatery is a nice place, there are plenty of places to sit and it is very clean! I will note that there isn't much covered seating and it is completely outdoors. Ordering is super easy and the donuts come out pretty quickly. The service is great as well. The worker this morning was able to help me decide on what to get and offered me insight into the more popular options. The donuts are on the more expensive side ( about $12 for 3), but you are paying for higher quality, larger donuts. I will say, Parlor has a rewards app and I would recommend getting it. You can get a $5 coupon for your first order! Now onto the goodies I ordered! I ended up getting a cookies & cream donut, a strawberry shortcake donut, and a French toast donut. The donuts are made fresh to order. I've read reviews of the being served warm, that was not the case this time. But nonetheless, they were still very fresh. The donuts are more of "cronuts", and are more like croissants. The texture is super pillowy with nice layers. They are really soft and surprisingly not super dense/heavy. Each of them were lightly coated in a cinnamon sugar mix as well. The cookies & cream donut is topped with a vanilla glaze, crushed cookie crumbs, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream. This was good but didn't have a particularly strong cookies & cream flavor. I still really enjoyed it and didn't think it was too sweet. The strawberry shortcake donut has a strawberry glaze, fresh strawberry slices, topped with whipped cream, and graham cracker crumbs. I really enjoyed this one as it wasn't overly sweet and had a nice strawberry taste. The addition of the fresh strawberries was a nice touch and added a lot to the donut. The French toast donut is topped with a maple glaze, a touch of maple syrup, and cinnamon powdered sugar. This might have been by favorite! The topping just went perfectly with the cinnamon sugar and flaky consistency, would highly recommend this flavor. Overall, I really loved the donuts I ordered. They were really different from a traditional donut--in the best way! The donuts were super pillowy and fresh, with lots of flaky layers. The cinnamon sugar on the outside was perfection. None of the donuts were "overdone" or too sweet either. The ratio donut to topping ratio was just right. The service was great and the location is really family friendly as well. I would recommend checking this place out and bringing some friends to split donuts with. Can't wait to return and try more yummy flavors!

Fantastic donuts and if you store them properly even the next day they still hit! I was happy to get several flavors and share some mix and match. I honestly have not tried a flavor that hasn't been good. The sandy beach was my favorite so far but I want to keep trying them. Great service and located in a cute area being in the food park. Make the trip if you love donuts!

Wanting to try this food truck since they opened and finally got to try it today. Was planning on getting 4 but ended up getting 6 as it is a bit of a drive to come to near campus area for me and I am glad that I got 6. The hype is real- it is super fluffy inside and actually is not too sweet as it appears to be. Very good service as well with outdoor seating available. I chugged 3 donuts in one seating and am planning to eat the rest tomorrow. Highly recommend checking out this place!

Our favorite was the blueberry hill. These donuts were amazing. The texture is so fluffy and moist. Their donuts don't need any frosting, I would eat these plain! They're that good!

Absolutely delicious! Worth the drive for these amazing doughnuts Had to go back twice

Strawberry Shortcake and Blueberry Hill cronuts

First time at Parlor Doughnuts today. They feature flaky, lightly sweetened cronuts with different topping options. We ordered the strawberry and blueberry and enjoyed both. The girl behind the register was helpful in giving suggestions. Cute place to hang out with outdoor tables and corn hole. We'd return to try other flavors if we're in the area.

Donuts were very tasty. Service was quick and friendly. The overall area needs more shade structures.

Finally made it to this GEM of a donut shop in Gainesville! Flatfish GNV is a donut shop that…read morespecializes in brioche filled donuts and vegan glazed donuts. Only open Friday through Sunday, they offer a limited selection with monthly rotating flavors, so expect lines out the door. Knowing to expect a line, especially during move-in weekend, my family and I got there about 10min before opening at 10am. There was already a line wrapped around the block! We ended up waiting in line for about 50min before ordering. Shortly after we ordered and sat down to enjoy our donuts, one of the owners notified everyone there was a limited selection left and it was likely not everyone would receive donuts. So if you are planning on visiting, just be aware of this! The service was excellent and extremely pleasant. The co-owner serving the donuts was super sweet and personable. This husband and wife team run a tight ship and really do their best to serve everyone to their best ability! The inside is quant, but there are a couple of seating options. We appreciated the nostalgic atmosphere and decor throughout. We got to the counter at the perfect time as they were just about out of the brioche. While unable to snag one of the brioche donuts, we were able to try 3/4 brioche filled and 5 of the vegan glazed. All the donuts were genuinely phenomenal and you couldn't tell the vegan glazed was vegan at all. The brioche filled donuts were super pillowy, with ample amounts of luscious cream filling. All the flavors were distinct and very good--you can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. I thoroughly enjoyed the brownie filled brioche and thought the filling was divine, almost reminded me of chocolate mousse! The vegan glazed were also great with a wonderful texture. They too were soft and very fresh, each with good flavor. I honestly enjoyed all 5 of the flavors we tried, especially the Arnold Palmer and Cherry Crumble! Overall, Flatfish GNV was most definitely worth as the hype and praise! The donuts are truly something special, with lovely presentation, flavor, and most importantly texture. The donuts themselves are large too and I definitely think the price is justified. They use great ingredients and it shows in the product they output. While the lines can get long, don't let that intimidate you! The service was perfect and this husband & wife team does a wonderful job running their donut shop. I was extremely impressed and would really like to return to try some more of their monthly flavors!

Pricing was fair, and i purchased two items for 7ish bucks. The interior was also pretty cute too and far more spacious than I thought. But...after waiting an hour...not sure it was quite worth it. The vegan glazed was a little chewy, and the sprinkle strawberry-glaze, that looked so pretty, was really just okay. Even though it's a bakery, it doesn't quite smell like one. the smell is still lingering in my nostrils, and can't quite place it... Great experience for a Gainesville classic. But for this transplant, the hype exceeded the bite!

The lady at the front was so kind and welcoming, even though it was clear they'd had a rush (it was Easter weekend, so totally understandable that people came early and stocked up!). Everything is super reasonably priced, all items are $3, and you can get a half dozen for just $12. That's wild for the quality you're getting! They have an amazing variety: danishes, cookies, pound cakes, and more. We ended up with a vanilla glazed cinnamon bun, lemon pound cake, cinnamon danish crunch, almond cloud cookie, karma cookie, and a pecan pie bar to split with one of my close friends, and every single bite was absolutely delicious. I wish I had known there was a line forming right at 7am. I would've rolled out of bed sooner. Thankfully, they told us you can call ahead and reserve, which we might just do next time because I'm already thinking about going back. I highly recommend the danishes & vanilla cinnamon glaze glazed bun and the pecan pie bar! This place is one of those spots you'll want to visit again and again, just get there early or call ahead to snag the goods!

The last time I had their brown butter chocolate chip cookies (2 for $3) I absolutely loved them, but I got one (one thick cookie) recently for $4 and it tasted like it was left in a fridge uncovered for days. I didn't even finish it, just threw it away half-eaten, that's how unappealing it was. I really used to love this place, it was pretty convenient to grab something small and cheap before work, but I don't see myself going back.
