We decided on what we wanted and waited for a friendly "what could we get you" or something of the sort...nope, just awkward staring. So we started saying what we wanted and again..just staring. At first I wasn't even sure if she was getting our order because she didn't respond at all. Then finally she repeats the items and asks if there was anything else, to which we said no. This person had no smile, no kind tone, I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or what. It's hard not to take it personal since there was no obvious reason for her demeanor, no lines, we weren't there right before close, our order was literally 3 items from the display case. It was so off putting that I actually commented about it to my husband again today and he agreed, such a simple interaction to be so....Bleh. Just a yucky feeling. Instead of placing the cake on the "bottom" piece, he dropped them into the "container" piece, and popped the bottom on as the top. I didn't realize his mistake until we tried to get the cakes out of the container, which proved to be a very difficult task. A bit of training on packaging may be in order. LOL! Since it was Mother's Day, I chose one of the Mother's Day chocolate cupcakes, along with a Mint Chocolate Cupcake. The frosting is mounded high on the mini-cakes, for sure! I know things are more expensive and baking is no cheap venture, but if I'm going to pay 6.00 for a cupcake, I do expect more than just "good".
