As a new-ish mom it's VERY hard to find time to go to the salon. Making an appointment weeks in advance is rarely easy since things can change on a dime. Not only did they fit me in on a Saturday during a holiday weekend...it was the BEST hair cutting experience I have ever had. The place was so welcoming, clean and beautiful. Sarah was awesome and...wow massaging chairs while they wash your hair!!! I went in for a drastic (to me) 5-6" lob off my long blah hair. She listened to what I wanted, inquired about my normal routine and I walked out super happy...my husband even noticed for the first time ever) Parking was easy and while, like most salons, they show you recommended product, but they do not pressure you. I made my next appt for December now, because I need to find the time and a nanny if I must, to come back on a more normal basis. I now look forward to my trip to the salon and a nice treatment for myself! read more

The same thing happened to me as with Hannah's review. They do average work, and overcharge for it. I spend less in Beverly Hills for stellar work, normally a high lift tint (foil) should take two hours and not be shadowed by toner. I don't mind spending hundreds, even $500 if it's worth it. This isn't the case. They bleach your hair and then add toner onto it, calling the toner a 'gloss' like it's something unique, and charge for it. Hilarious if you know a thing or two about hair. Toner is (at most) $15/bottle and they tack on $45. The receipt looks like a restaurant check, as they continue to add items that weren't discussed until they have a hefty bill for you. Extra color, extra conditioner, gloss, etc. When the toner (gloss) wears off you look like nothing has been done at all, likely most clients return for a repeat. I'm disappointed that I'll have to drive to the city to find a salon that doesn't offer 'sneaky upsells' and takes their time doing it right. The color was way too dark and the cut was unmanageable and dated. Emina took so much time and care to get my color to a natural looking shade and created a cut that is perfect for my facial structure. Emina is a true artist and the ultimate professional. I've never met anyone as dedicated to her craft as she is. She is truly remarkable. Horrendous and exploitative appointment booking policy. At the time of booking I was asked to give my credit card info and a $40 deposit would be charged. Now get this, when you want to cancel the appointment within 48h (!!!) of your appointment, they will charge full service amount, so $80+. This is insane. I arrived on time and ended up waiting over 15 minutes to be seen. The stylist was very nice but did not seem very engaged. She washed my hair and offered me the special conditioning treatment for an additional $40.00 and I accepted. She was very focused on another client that she had been working on at the same time as me so the wash process took awhile. I sat down at the chair and she let my hair out of the towel and began to brush it out. (I have thick long hair) She continued to comment (seemed like complaining) on how thick my hair was making it very difficult to brush. My hair was not completely brushed and she left to go work on another client. After waiting over 10 minutes my hair began to drip on the floor and my arms were getting very wet. A gentleman came over and began drying the floor with a towel when my stylist ran over and said "your hair is dripping on the floor" and i replied with "Yes it is very wet". She apologized and continued with my haircut. She began to cut my hair and as she was running the comb through it to cut the ends and my hair was getting stuck in the comb because it was still in knots. She ignored this and continued to cut my hair. When she was done cutting she proceeded to blow out my hair. Another women joined her and they were each pulling on both sides of my head. The heat from the blow dryers and the pulling on both sides was making it very uncomfortable. They were clearly trying to get me out as quick as possible and this was very uncomfortable for me. When it was finally over my stylist told me that she had never cut thick hair before and this was her first time. My hair was very short even though i had told her from the start that i really wanted to keep it long. I have naturally curly hair so i knew it would be even shorter once i washed it and my natural curls came back. I quickly got up to check out. The receptionist informed me that my total came to $125.00. I knew i would be spending a little bit more then usual because of the 40.00 conditioning treatment but this seemed a little steep. I asked her how much the hair cut was and she explained to me that i was charged extra because i have thick long hair and it was blown out. This was very frustrating because I assumed that it would be included in the final price because she had just went ahead and did it without asking me. The itemized receipt listed a $70.00 haircut, $15.00 long hair blow dry and $40.00 conditioning treatment. I may have been okay with this price if i had an amazing experience and my hair came out great but this was not the case. I left the salon very much not happy with the experience and the way my hair came out. Overall, I believe my stylist had good intentions but my experience was very unpleasant. read more

I'm definitely bummed I have to leave a one star review. I was hoping to give this place 5 stars as the customer service side is great. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating and my stylist was the sweetest. However, after spending $300 (!!!!!) on my hair and having gone back a second time to have it fixed, the results are completely unsatisfying. I figured this place would be expensive given the area and the ambiance, along with the other reviews I've read. But I was certainly not expecting to pay three hundred dollars!!! I went in the first time and had balayage done, feeling great when I left the salon. After washing it the next day I felt like my hair didn't look much different than before I had gotten it done. I called and went in a few days later, which my stylist was super sweet about and listened to my needs of wanting my hair a bit lighter than the first time. She added some more blonde throughout and I LOVED it. I was very disappointed to find that just ONE DAY later, my hair had somewhat of an orange tint, the blonde faded probably from the toner being washed out, and my root line seemed to be back to what it was from the very start. $300 more broke, hair that is brassy with a root line, and more dead ends than before. If you want a great hair cut you always have to go to the Pro's like Salon Invi. Amanda does an excellent men's cut and is quick and efficient. Cost is actually less then most Salon's. Not sure why there was 1 start review being the review focused on being nice. You go to Salon Invi to get a professional hair cut, its not a therapy session. I responding to the owners response.... I hope you record your calls... your website, Covid and the new 48 hr cancellation policy was not mentioned to me at all in the slightest. Find the call and listen to it. The person who made the booking failed to do everything you just said in your response to my experience. Also, why call the night before my appointment to tell me you will charge me no matter what if your new policy to cancel is 48hrs? Wouldn't it make sense to call 48hrs before to confirm? I didn't receive any missed calls from you after the appointment and before you charged my credit card without permission. Perhaps use my $54 to retrain your staff on the complexities of making an appointment. They charged me $54 for nothing! I emailed through their contact page on their website the night before my appointment to cancel it. I also tried calling at 9.58am to try and confirm they were cancelling it. I understand they didn't technically open for two more minutes... but someone had to have been there and chose not to answer the phone. I also called from my phonenumber that was used to make the appointment so they could easily see the missed call was from a number on their calendar and the same number they had tried to even call me at the day before to confirm the appointment (hence why I emailed that evening after work to let them know to cancel it). I can upload a snapshot of my iphones recent calls to prove this. Today I see my credit card has been charged $54! No phone call or email back regarding it. Nothing. Outrageous! I am homeschooling my six year old at the moment during Covid and wanted this appointment. But the day before my husband couldn't watch him. I emailed AND called them. I can't believe they charged me and during this pandemic! read more

Salon Invi is a pleasant and hospitable environment overall. I've gotten good haircuts here and my stylist really listened to what I wanted and made sure I got it. I docked stars because I really don't recommend the Brazilian Blowout. After researching why my hair felt so terrible afterwards, I realized there are much more effective and non-harmful treatments out there. My hair has not improved in any way at all (not smoother, still frizzy, takes just as long to style) even though I bought and use all the required products correctly, but the worst part is the treatment made it feel heavy, stiff, and greasy all the time. I have to wash it every other day versus once in three or four days, because it looks like I have a gross oil slick. I don't have big, curly hair so the treatment really should've produced results but didn't do anything positive for my hair. So do your research before wasting your $$. The salon's opinion was that this was just my first Blowout treatment, but every service provided - especially an expensive one - should have positive results and this was a huge disappointment that has made my hair harder to manage. I will be going elsewhere for treatments and cuts. read more
