In the past three years, I've seen the Balloon Fairies at least a dozen times in and around the greater Edmonton area. Always fabulous, always creative! These folks aren't just your kid's birthday party entertainment - they are ARTISTS! Sculptural artists. You can imagine it, they can make it. Sure - they can handle a kids party and keep them REALLY entertained! And as Kristin mentioned - balloons of a mature subject matter too - very unique, and distinct! Having an adult birthday? Celebrating an anniversary? Baby Shower? Engagement party? Wedding? Company get-together - Stampede/K-Days party? Oh yes you are - everyone is! Children under 10 are not required to have balloon fun! We enjoyed their works of art at the Annual Yelper party at the Telus World of Science. There wasn't a time I peeked over that there wasn't a lineup. The creations I've seen are identifiable right off the bat - a Dinosaur, Unicorn, and a couple I can't mention, but right away knew what I was looking at! Sure, swords, hats, wings, crowns, devil horns... allllllll types of costumes too! They'd be great to book for a Hallowe'en party. Impressive, and truly enjoyable to watch. read more

As a child any of the balloon animals I saw at parties were pretty boring dog, snake, giraffe....yawn. I don't ever remember be wowed by balloon animals or any balloon creation, until I saw the work of The Balloon Fairies. Yep balloon creations have come a long way. Instead of getting a single coloured generic looking balloon animal you can get, well pretty much anything. The ladies behind The Balloon Fairies are super talented. And balloon creations aren't just for kids anymore either. Having an adult party, like a stag or stagette, check out the Balloon Fairies. These ladies are incredible and it is so much fun seeing Mom and Daughter work together! The creativity of the ladies is awesome and they go above and beyond to try to accommodate any requests. I was surprised to see them at an adult event but it was the perfect fit! Everyone was into getting a balloon that was specially made for them. I asked for Chip from Beauty and the Beast and it was the first time that they had ever received that request. They quickly pulled up some reference photos online and in just a few minutes I had the most perfect balloon representation of Chip! Can a balloon be cute? I think so as that's exactly how I would describe Chip! I think they are a great fit for any event for anyone young and old! They are super professional, fun and incredibly talented. read more

I have been to a few events where the Balloon Fairies were hired to do their handiwork. I can say I am truly impressed with their creativity and they seem to have fun doing it as well. I have seen them at work at family events and also an adult party so they are very versatile with their creations. At our adult party "Yelp Staycation" they were doing some pretty cool things for the big kids. I got a Thor's Hammer and was amazed at how well it turned out. It has actually been sitting on my mantle for the last 6 weeks. I was amazed at how long it actually lasted. The adults were having a blast with their creations. As a woman in my late 20's with no children this is obviously not a service I would be needing to employ on a regular basis but I did have the opportunity to check out the balloon fairy at a party and oh my goodness was I ever impressed! It has really come a long way from when I was a kid and you only got to pick one solid colored balloon and the balloon artist would then proceed to make you a sword or a dog (or who knows maybe it was a pony it all looked so similar back then). These ladies know how to put together a really ornate balloon sculpture with different colors that bares an amazing resemblance to the animal or character that you have requested. If you really want to be blown away I highly suggest checking out the gallery on their website to really get a full appreciation of everything that these ladies are capable of. The F.A.Q on the website is quite detailed and answers almost everything imaginable that you could possibly need to know which is always handy. I am mesmerized by these women! I could probably watch them twist balloons for hours. I was so impressed by their talent, creativity and friendliness. They will make *anything* - I got a momma and baby unicorn after I told them that I was pregnant and wanted something baby-themed. Others showed photos of their pets and got a balloon replica! And as I'm sure you've read in other reviews, they do the adult themed stuff equally well too! I took a gander on their website and they offer balloon sculpting classes for small groups!! How fun! And birthday parties of course - something tells me that I'll be hiring them when my little girl gets older :) read more

Balloon Fairies are amazing! I have hired them for two separate corporate events and they have been the life of the party. Their booking system is very simple and you can pay via credit card on paypal. They have great service and answer all of your questions. For one event, I had the Speedy Balloon service where they have a list of balloon animals and it move the line along. However, I also has the regular Balloon Service, where they can be more creative with the balloon creations. It depends on the nature of the event, as well as potential line-ups.
