The Bar Method is my favorite place! I have had the unlimited membership for almost a year now and it never gets old! This studio has an incredibly welcoming environment and instantly makes you feel apart of their community. The sense of belonging here is unmatched. They offer many different formats (strength, flow, cardio, and traditional barre) - I always feel challenged at every class! Barre, especially at The Bar Method, has transformed my fitness journey both mentally and physically. I can't recommend trying a class here enough!

Super friendly staff and instructors. The woman at the front desk greeted me with a warm smile and had such positive energy. She made me feel so welcomed-- taking away any anxiety I might have had for my first ever barre class. The studio itself is very clean and modern. They told me they recently go new carpet installed, so that's great. The class I took was the Bar Method express class (45mins) with Beth. She is an amazing instructor that will get you sweating and working out some muscle you never thought you had. This class was a bit fast paced, but it's in the name. Can't wait to return for a regular Bar Method class.

I love this studio. I came in for my first class and I felt so welcomed. The class was challenging but it was still beginner friendly. The instructor was super sweet and I even received a hand written note from her in the mail a week after my first class. I also got sent home with some bath salts to help with soreness after that first class. They really are so thoughtful here!

The bar method has great variety of cardio/stretch classes that challenge you and only get harder as you become more comfortable with the routine of it! The staff is warm and welcoming and make an effort to really get to know you!

Tuck, tuck, tuck... Bar method, like food trucks, is one of those things I've been hearing about from my cool west coast friends for a while now, and hoping it would eventually migrate to our area. Honestly, the more food trucks we get, the more I need a workout like bar method. This is the second studio in our area, I believe, that specializes in the method, and the first that is part of the trademarked Bar Method™ chain that is the best known. I attended the second open-to-the-public class today and ABSOLUTELY got a workout. (I should mention that for this only being the second official class, the instruction was very polished and flowed well! Kendra gave great direction and coaching even when I wanted to collapse due to my burning quadriceps.) The one hour class goes through warmup, arm work, extensive core and lower body work, and cooldown. Much more of the focus is on strength than on cardio. The instructors will correct your form throughout the class, which I very much appreciate. Though I do yoga and pilates fairly regularly, I have no dance background at all, so many of the small moves that work the legs, glutes and core were unfamiliar to me and extremely challenging. The two studios are small but did not feel overcrowded, and the locker room is very nice, as well. My coworker asked me after the class if Winter Park Village patrons can see you working out and the answer is no if anyone else has this concern :) Pricing is something like $22/class, with a new student special for $100 the first month. Tip: bring socks (you can't practice without them, though they do sell them on site).

My butt fell and couldn't get up...till Bar Method!

I attend the hot Pilates. You do have to bring your own mat. Bring a small towel because you will definitely sweat, grip socks and a bottle of water.. the studio is very clean. They have cubbies to put all your personal belongings while you're in the class.. the bathrooms are stocked with basic necessities like deodorant, some hair ties, etc. plus they do offer like mints lol it's just a cute added touch to their brand. If you do forget your mat, they do have one that you can borrow, but they are limited. Raquel is an amazing instructor. She is consistently cheering you on. Her classes is tough but you want it to be tough otherwise what's the point of going and not getting a workout? Honestly, I'm not sure if there's really an easy Pilates class lol. I am currently taking this class with my ClassPass so it leaves me open to be able to explore workout programs that work best for me. I am appreciative that the studio is on ClassPass. Otherwise I probably would have never attempted to try their classes. I highly recommend checking them out. The hot Pilates is my favorite.

Previously, the hot mat room was much smaller, so I was happy to see more spots available in the hot mat class. Immediately upon arrival, I was greeted at the door to check-in. There are cubbies outside of the hot mat room to put your bag and shoes, and the room has all of the equipment needed for the class. Nina was my instructor and she killed it! I definitely felt the burn this morning with how many pulses she made us do! I didn't get a good look at the new reformer room, but I'm hoping to take a reformer class there in the near future!

My good friend Addie recommended I try this studio after hearing I was interested in taking my yearlong at-home matt Pilates practice to an IRL studio with reformers. She let me know what she loved most about it was how inclusive it was of all body types- not just your stereotypical Pilates/yoga body. I mentioned my concern that the classes appeared to always be on a waitlist on the website (they have 12 reformers, so the classes are small), but she let me know people cancel very regularly and you almost always get in. Besides that, if you book a week or two out, you will have no trouble immediately getting placed into the class. The weekend after Thanksgiving, I signed up for one of their intro sessions. These sessions are just 30 mins and only a few folks who are interested in taking classes, but want to check it out first. After our 30 mins with Lisette, we were all down to get memberships. One thing that really impressed me was how friendly and receptive everyone has been since then. I've already been to a few classes (I go hard when I join something! Lol) and the teachers have been wonderful and affirming, while walking around and adjusting us (not physically, but with verbal cues). I planned on doing back to back classes (a reformer flow and then Center & Balance class), but wanted to make sure that made sense and as soon as I called, my questions were answered with friendliness and like I was talking to someone I'd known for a while. Finally, I'm stoked about how clean everything is kept. Everyone cleans all of the equipment they used right after class and it is THOROUGH! There's something about the group pressure that helps keep everyone accountable to doing a great job of cleaning up after themselves. Overall, a great studio! I got the app and have been able to sign up for classes for the same week and have gotten off the waitlist each time. Yay for timely cancelations! (There's a few invited if you no-show without formally canceling, which I imagine helps this process along!)

With the classes being small, the instructors can watch and make sure that you are doing all of the moves correctly. Although you are paying more than you would at a gym, it is completely worth it as the quality of instruction is that much better. You get a better deal if you buy the classes in packages. They have classes ranging from beginner to advanced at all times of the day. They also offer private, duet, and trio classes in which you can utilize the reformers. You can conveniently sign-up and pay for classes online. Pilates is a great way to increase core strength and flexibility. It is also a great way to switch up your routine from weights and cardio. I would definitely recommend the Pilates Loft to anyone who wants to give pilates a try :)

They keep an eye out and provide alternative movements for anyone with an injury or want to go with something less strenuous. The studio is well located in Maitland, on a main road. It is in a small strip plaza with parking out front, to the side, and in the back. Classes can be easily booked using their app and they offer a variety of memberships. The studio has about 12 participants per group class but there's also a huge room in the back for private lessons. The environment is definitely more calm and welcoming than other Pilates studios in the area. I think it's easy to be intimated by trying Pilates for the first time but the instructors take care in noting if it's your first time and will assist you in any way needed. Love how both of the bathrooms are stocked with feminine products and hair ties! There's also a kitchenette that has snacks and drinks sometimes as well. All the clothes, socks, and other products at the front are so cute...I just bought a new pair of grippy socks and I've gotten so many compliments on them. One of my favorite things about Soteria is the community that they've built. There are consistently events and the teachers put in the effort to build rapport with everyone in the class. I've actually made a few friends through the classes. I've gotten questions on what my workout routine is too and it's all been due to Soteria Pilates! I feel less stiff, tighter in the core, and mentally more balanced when I'm consistent with going to classes. Notables: I love Renee, Katie, and Gianna's classes. The owner and front desk/admin Jess, Chelsea, and Cici are all extremely nice too. I recommend Soteria to anyone trying to do Pilates!
