Worst haircut I've experienced in over 30 years, scary, shacking like a leaf, thought I was gonna lose an ear or eye.

Went here after seeing decent reviews. I went with Dante for my appointment for the time availability and good reviews. Upon entering we had a nice conversation and showed him photos of my previous haircut to try to imitate. My main barber went on vacation and I desperately needed a cut. I immediately could tell his lack of barber skills and technique with his motions. I asked how long he had been cutting and it has been somewhat of a year. I was at the point of no return here but nothing wrong with giving people a chance and the benefit of the doubt. I kept showing photos of what I wanted but it got nowhere near what I wanted. His other appointment came in and I felt the pressure to rush and finish by his frantic movements. I figured it wasn't going to get any better than what we had so I cut my losses and call it a day. Seeing other cuts I was a little sour I wasn't getting that same quality of haircut. When it came to pay I told him about the first time discount from my first phone call and he said he applied it then charged me the amount. Upon seeing my receipt there was no discount applied. I can't say I would come back or recommend Dante. Maybe better luck with other barbers there but I went to another shop to get what I wanted the day after and got much better results. He definitely still needs more time to hone his craft. Just giving my honest feedback from my experience. Hope this review helps. read more

Truly the greatest barbershop experience one can ask for. I have long curly hair and I used to hate getting haircuts because generic chains like Greatclips were never able to give me the result I wanted. They never knew how to do the styles kids nowadays prefer. Fortunately, a few years back, a friend recommended me Brandon at The Barber House. Since then I haven't gotten a haircut from anyone else. Any type of fade you want, any type of hair type you have trust me this guys got you he's an expert. I'm moving up to NJ and this place was one of the factors into the decision. It's that amazing. I currently live in Washington, D.C. and make sure whenever I make a trip to NJ, I swing by to get my hair cut. Yeah, I get to see my family, but honestly, it's for the haircut. I was super excited when the brothers opened up their own shop. It's EXTRAORDINARILY comfortable. The waiting room always has a game or a movie on, with coffee available, and is its own room, so you don't feel awkward waiting in the middle of the shop like most places. These guys treat you like family. If you are in the area and looking for a barber, you can't go wrong with any of the guys who work here. I am originally from the area, and needed a cut quickly before my next flight. My go to guys were off. I am glad I picked Morali! Coincidentally they used to work with my go to barbers at another shop. My barbers recommended them. Manny and his brother are dapper, clean cut, honest, and hard working gentlemen. Really cool lounge area with a nice TV and comfortable seating. I am really picky with how my hair is cut and can be difficult. Manny nailed it from the first description and had me in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. I also came in on a Tuesday and didn't know there was a promo they did on that day. Hot towel Tuesday's! Manny didn't have to disclose it, but he did. Honestly even the most subtle complimentary service goes a long way to new clients. Come here in full confidence! Yesterday around 4:45 pm I went in to get my haircut as a new customer with the barber name "James". When I called in I was told it's 20% off for first time customers. James was a nice guy, but I honestly can't relate with him at all. On top of the hair cut I was receiving he wanted to talk a lot about his experience in life (which is cool), but I think he might have gone off the rails too much. I was noticing that other barbers were already taking other clients while James was still cutting my hair. When I finished my haircut, it was 6:15 pm. So it was a hour and a half for just a hair cut. With that much time, I could have gotten at least 2 haircuts with shampoo treatment... on top of it all he also cut me. While I was being rung Jame's haircut rate is $25, and I was charged $25 with no discount for first time customer promo they had going on. I tipped James pretty well, hopefully for haircut rate at this place, they would provide better business service. I paid all cash and wish I didn't come here because I wanted this haircut for my birthday coming up because my current barbershop is relocating to Saddle River.
