I arrived at 11:30 scheduled appointment. I was told to text to confirm the appointment the day prior and also gave a $25 deposit. When I arrived I could not get into the building. AS THERE is a lock on the door for safety.. I texted the owner and she told me that she was busy with another client and I was to go back and sit in the car and she would text me later when she was ready. I told her that I was parked down the street as there was no parking In front of the studio. She told me to just continue to wait. I honestly love The BareSweet Room! The customer service is amazing! Alexis welcomed me with her radiant smile and the energy was great! I used to go to European Wax and I just love the connection I have with Alexis! She makes me feel comfortable and any questions that I may have she makes sure to answer them all! She is super unprofessional and ghetto I've been to her several times and it was great wanted to see through the lack of professionalism with communication etc today after she didn't communicate back for four days and I still got an alert to come to my appointment I did sat outside for 30 mins with no way of contact wasn't until I requested a refund she responds back nasty I told you I was rescheduling you what?!?! Find a different place to go! The owner is hard to get in touch with so she agreed to refund me my deposit. After not seeing a refund for SEVEN DAYS and sending her reminders via text, I disputed the charge with PayPal. Literally 5 minutes later, the owner called my phone saying "I don't appreciate you calling your bank on my business!" and that she doesn't answer texts until after 10pm. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. That one review just shows that 1. She excepted more from the bare sweet room because the are black owner more then she would a white establishment. Any one with child should understand things happen. 2 I had to cancel 3 times due to illness at the last minute and she was more than Understanding and accommodating. I try my best to support small businesses especially black owned businesses. I was so excited after looking up this business and looking at all the great reviews of Bare Sweet Room that I decided to book right away and tell friends and family. I booked my appointment a week in advance and arranged babysitting for my kids. I am a business professional and loved my prior wax professional but figured after having a baby, why not try sugaring. My appointment was scheduled for 6pm in the evening but that day I received a text message from an unknown number telling me that she has to reschedule my appointment to Tuesday due to stitches. After telling her this was a bit unprofessional, she sent a message stating it wasn't unprofessional, refunded my money and blocked me. I've never been treated this way ever. I hope no one ever gets treated this way. I will be going back to my old wax professional. read more

Okay so, my initial experience was great. My second time wasn't so much. I was running late and let her know which she was very accommodating of and actually said take my time. I arrive after being a little late she had me wait an additional 15 minutes because she was doing someone else. She is a small business but the setup of her business lacks privacy altogether. Yes we're women and all have the same parts but not everyone is comfortable with their bodies that way and to be seen in front of strangers. She cleaned station, got started on my wax, she rushed the entire process. She didn't take her time and kept waxing in big sections which gave my skin instant irritation and made the experience far more painful. And now TONS of ingrown hairs when it grew back. Mid wax she had another client come in and sit while I was getting waxed. Very uncomfortable. read more
