Went here with my family for the Stanley cup playoffs. Awesome to be in a hockey bar to watch hockey! Unsure if it was just our booth, but we were all BOILING alive it was so warm inside. Food was pretty good, menu is really funny (jokes about the Blackhawks players). Waitress was super nice. Auto 20% tip was taken. We left after second period because my brothers team was losing, the team came back and scored 4 goals after we left? So maybe our vibes don't match the bars. If it had better AC I'd be more inclined to return.

This place is really cool and makes me jealous. Being a huge kings fan and hockey fan in general, I wish my team and or every team had a bar like this. The ambiance, vibes, and decor is perfect for a hockey fan coming to watch a game or pregame before heading to the arena. Service was great, staff was attentive and welcoming. Food was okay, nothing to brag about but it does the job. Only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is the lack of food options. Once again, not saying the food is bad, just not amazing. Overall, I would definitely come back!

Great spot for all hockey fans, of both the modern and past eras, there's memorabilia from all generations on the walls and embedded in the bar and other areas. It's right by the United Center, walking distance, so great for pre/post Hawks games, or just to watch there. It's also a good spot to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs, or any other big hockey game. The food is good, I'd say above average pub food. We got curds and poutine, bother big portions. Pretty good craft beer list too including their own IPA. There's a ton of space, including some pretty big tables, so ideal if you want to bring a bigger group. Servers were all nice and timely. Not sure how packed it'd be before a Hawks game, but regardless it's a real cool spot with lots of neat things to look at. Would definitely recommend and come back.

This used to be a restaurant called The Ogden and I preferred it then. Now it's an over the top hockey bar. Food is mediocre and so are the drinks. Service leaves a lot to be desired. I waited like 30 minutes on 6 wings. How in the hell does it take that long to make chicken? When I received them they were big, which I don't like. They're also expensive - 6 wing dings were $14.00. I don't like establishments that automatic charge me gratuity, especially on a one person bill and on top of that they also charge you a 3% surcharge, so I paid $35 for an appetizer of wings and a drink. Yeah, I'm good, too many other restaurant options. I will pass and I will wait for the establishment to change hands again because this isn't it.

Fun place, especially before of after and event at United Center. New place but has a good vibe as well as staple drinks and food menu. Food was tasty and others in our group really liked the burger. Place was very full before and after a Blackhawks game. Being new, they are still figuring a few things out. I have no problem with automatic gratuity but they should have it written and verbally let folks know. Also, they don't really assign a server and many people were helping us out. Worked OK but I think long term dedicated servers works be better.

First time here... Place is DOPE! Hockey world in one place and i was STOCKED! Now, not to be a party pooper but my server Niurka, decided to add gratuity of 20% to a check for 2 people. Not 6 or 7... but 2 PEOLPE and BANG!... gratuity added. I'm just going to say what a hell girl ?!?....WHY?!?! So lame to do that! You made $12.80 cause of your stupidity versus - maybe i was about to tip you $20,$30... Your loss and unprofessional service all the way.

This was probably our 10th visit. Came in for a quick bite to eat and was fairly busy! As always, the food was good. Settled on the turkey sandwich this time. We prefer to sit at the bar but it was full so we sat at a high top bar adjacent. We did seem to have a dedicated server and there is a unique table number at each table but they seem to not use it? Every time a food runner came out, poor kid had no clue where he should drop off at. This isn't the first time we've watched this happen. The bar service here is great, the table service has lots of room for improvement. Edited to say: every tab has gratuity added. This time we were told about it but that's not always the case. I get adding gratuity for large parties but not a fan of every check.

Example of floor in the place.

There were a lot of TVs all around the bar, so you won't be tilting your head back to watch the game from any angle. Our server was new, but she did a great job with taking everyone's orders and also being very upfront about saying she will ask about the drafts on tap so she can give us an accurate drink selection. The food from Theory never disappoints. Last year, I had the Theory Burger and was delighted by how good it was. This year, I tried the Challah French Toast and it was pleasantly delicious. The Mac and Cheese was also a solid choice, and for $8, they provided a good amount of food! And that Chicken Parm Egg Roll...wow they were so good!! I was skeptical from the name, but this was like having a pizza roll but in egg roll form The only reason I am giving this place 4 stars is because Theory has severely up charged for the Champions League. I recall last year a reservation was $5/person, but this year they charged $15/person. For this reason, we came in at 9AM opening time for an 8-person table and were able to get one without having to pay the reservation fee. I really like how organized Theory is though, as a sports bar. Service has always been great and I may come again for another game!

We saunter up to our chosen restaurant only to find a sign on the door that says, "closed for private event." Did I mention I was hangry? My husband suggests Jake Melnick's. It was within walking distance ... did I mention it was raining that night? And I was hangry? I was game for anything at that point. We arrived and waited probably four minutes for a table. A couple of the adults ordered a beer, the others ordered a Coke. We ordered a large pretzel and our mains. The pretzel was so good. All the meals were outstanding (a sliced brisket sandwich, some wings, chicken tenders, onion rings and a burger). Service was great. It was a little loud when we first arrived as there was an intense Illinois State basketball game on but as soon as the game ended, it was much quieter. We really enjoyed our meal at Jake's!

We made a reservation at Over/Under. When we arrived, there weren't a lot of people yet and we got seated quickly at a table already set up with our name on it and lots of fun swag. We each received 5 drink tickets and 2 meal tickets. In addition to the fact that we wiped the floor with Kansas, we met some really nice fans from Chicago. They made our visit so much fun, filled with endless laughter and a great time. It was a nice mix of young and older folks like us and the young people were so respectful and friendly. It truly was a pleasant surprise. They gave us their bar stools with backs so that we would be comfortable. I don't know if Steven David, who we also met there works for the bar but he was funny as all get out. He says he's a comedian so if you're in Chicago, look for him at a comedy club. The owners were very friendly and we appreciated chatting with them too. We didn't get to our second meal or order half of our drinks bc we were having such a good time so we gave them away.
