I was disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding billing and communication. I provided my insurance information before my first appointment and expected a clear explanation of what my financial responsibility would be. Instead, I was charged $190 for my initial visit without a clear discussion of how my insurance would be handled. I later canceled my second appointment before the scheduled time and was charged a $90 cancellation fee (which was never communicated but apparently "i signed"). While the office later provided documentation showing the cancellation policy, I wish this had been communicated more clearly. What was most frustrating was the amount of time spent trying to resolve the issue from this chiropractor. It involved multiple text messages and back-and-forth discussions that could have been avoided with clearer communication and billing practices from the start. If you choose this office, I recommend asking in advance exactly how your insurance will be billed, what your out-of-pocket cost will be, and whether your card will be charged automatically. read more

I've been seeing Danielle for chiropractic care for several years now, most recently during my first pregnancy and postpartum. As a bedside nurse and athlete with multiple knee surgeries and scoliosis, I have a long history of body discomfort. Seeing Danielle for adjustments every 3 weeks or so has kept me pain free, and I notice that pain in my back returns when I haven't seen her in a while. Particularly during my pregnancy, I credit Danielle to keeping me almost completely pain free the entire time. I visited bay chiro throughout my first pregnancy. I combined biweekly chiropractic sessions, biweekly pelvic floor therapy sessions, 3x/week yoga and monthly prenatal massage throughout my first pregnancy, so it's hard to say which gave me the most benefit. However, i did experience very little pain throughout my first pregnancy. My insurance covered almost all my sessions at bay chiro, which made it very affordable. I then returned to bay chiro for my second pregnancy. I was told to pay the full amount up front and was ensured that they would submit a claim to my insurance company on my behalf. I received two physical mails from my insurance company, stating that they have not yet received my medical records from the clinic to process my claim. I called the clinic at least three times (if not more) and was assured that they would complete the process. This was in May 2025. It is now October 2025 and they still have not submitted the documents and the claim has been denied because of the missing documents. If you are hoping to use your insurance here, note that the clinic may not follow through so you can maximize your insurance benefits. read more

Ever since I started experiencing mobility and joint issues during my pregnancy, Bay Chiro's prenatal massages have become a necessity. I've started coming here once a week or so. My go-to is Alex. He uses lotion (instead of oil) and provides warm towels to dry off after. He's very kind, remembers my preferences, and seems to sincerely care about my comfort during our sessions. I recently went to Lydia too. Will def book again. She's amazing! She was so empathetic and the pressure was exactly what I needed. *chefs kiss* Also used lotion instead of oil! Besides Alex and Lydia, I've tried two other masseuses for prenatal. While a decent massage is better than no massage, I'm not sure that I'd enthusiastically return for the other two. One was 10 minutes late (even though I was early), didn't apologize, and ended up giving a 50 minute massage at a 60 minute price. The other did a fantastic job with my back area, but kept shying away from my feet even after I asked her twice if that area could receive more attention. C'mon I'm super pregnant, my feet are dying right now! Parking in the area is kind of a bitch, so I'd recommend allowing 10 minutes for parking if you're coming on a weekend or peak hours. read more

My chronic neck pain is gone, and I haven't had any issues with back pain even during my now 7 months of pregnancy. The massage was scheduled first , on the day of the appointment it was canceled last minute and I rescheduled the next day . They kept bugging me about paying cash day of . This massage was a joke. Dr. Leanna is amazing! I limped into the office in a 10 out of 10 pain in my R ankle. Not only has she gotten me to a 1 out of 10 pain but she also is one of the best Chiropractor's I've ever seen. I'm super picky about my adjustments and initially went to her for my ankle but my sciatica hasn't bothered me once since her adjustments. That being said- I would NOT recommend booking a prenatal massage here. I am nearing 37 weeks and was beyond excited when I read reviews regarding a particular masseuse at this office who wasn't afraid to do prenatal massages. I booked with her and less than 12 hours before my booking I got switched to somebody else. At the advice of the office I accepted the change which I really regret. The masseuse I ended up getting asked me at the beginning of my massage what I was looking for and I said "pressure" (in a nutshell). She immediately told me that because of my pregnancy she could not apply pressure. The entire massage I could not wait for it to be over. It was uncomfortable, a waste of money & time and felt like someone was just rubbing lotion of me for an hour. I'm really disappointed because I had been looking forward to one last massage before giving birth and wish I had been told that this masseuse is not comfortable with applying any pressure to pregnant women. I've never been so relieved to hear "your session is over" during a massage. I would have never booked a massage here if I knew it was going to be with someone who was going to be waaaaaaaaay too gentle. It was not worth the time, money and I wish I had not agreed to switch to somebody else last second. Came here for a prenatal massage and Anita was amazing. She has healing hands! I was super comfortable throughout the experience. Anita used hot himalayan salts for a small portion of the massage which contributed to maximum relaxation. I was also pleased that she was able to apply some deeper pressure to my shoulders and neck (she listened to where I wanted to focus the massage), which some masseuses won't do during a prenatal. The site is easy to find in Montclair Village. Mostly metered parking but you can drive a few blocks for free residential parking. My wife was in so much pain Friday morning she could barely walk . She has had such a hard with this pregnancy it's not even funny. But Friday was just so extreme. So before leaving for work I looked on yelp for prenatal massages and found this place. Pretty easy booking. The only thing that I have to say bad about the website was it doesn't have pricing for their services which is pretty inconvenient. We originally had a 3 PM appointment but luckily they called and asked to bump us up to noon with the masseuse named Anita. I will preface this review with the following. I've never offered a public business review before this, and: I've been to many chiropractors and physical therapist in the past. For years I have had pain in my neck which radiates into my head causing headaches which at times are debilitating. This past week it reached an intolerable level of pain and discomfort. I made an emergency appointment with Dr. Leanna whom I have not used previously and with whom I have no personal or professional relationship. Without question Dr. Leanna is the singular best health care provider I've ever seen for my condition by far. Her knowledge of anatomy and ability to use this knowledge with skillful precision was remarkable. Her preparatory massage was focused and exceptional and brought immediate relief. Her chiropractic manipulations were unbelievable. No one previously had been able to identify, address the cause of this pain and offer relief better than Dr. Leanna. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and have been seeing Dr. Danielle for the last 2 weeks. She came highly recommended by my massage therapist. I was diagnosed with SPD at week 28 of my pregnancy, at 30 weeks I became unable to walk. Sitting and laying down was also incredibly painful. I was desperate and also very mentally distraught. After just 3 visits to Dr. Danielle, I feel like she is a true miracle worker! I am back to walking and sleeping/sitting much more comfortably. Good chiropractic work, terrible communication. I first reached out to Dr. Da Silva to see if she accepts Blue Shield insurance, which I later learned contracts through American Specialty Health (ASH), who she IS NOT CONTRACTED WITH. I was warmly assured that she does and scheduled my first appointment at 7 months pregnant. My first consultation was great - Dr. Da Silva walked me through the challenges of carrying a baby that were at play in my body and gave some minor adjustments and gentle massage to relieve my hips and sciatica. Leaving the office I was shocked that the initial visit costs $170 - when I'm used to paying a $15 copay. I was told it would all be sorted out with insurance later, and paid out of pocket. I was asked to come back biweekly even though I didn't have any serious issues, just common aches and pains. On my second visit, I was billed $70 and when I asked about when my insurance would kick in I was told by her assistant that it might take a few more weeks. That was my last visit because the next time I called to cancel an appointment and ask about my pending referral they suggested I change my primary provider to her office - at 8 MONTHS PREGNANT. That's when I finally saw through the bizarre charade. It took her office nearly 2 months to complete a basic referral form from my PCP despite numerous calls and emails from both my and my doctor's office. By that time I was full term and perfectly happy going to yoga to keep my body feeling good (plus a wonderful massage at Glow), so it had been a total waste of my time. No claims were ever filed by her office, again despite numerous pleas, so I filed my own, hoping I was using the right medical codes. I was ultimately reimbursed $40 of the $240 I spent on two 30 minute sessions but Blue Shield accidentally issued the check to Dr. Da Silva. When asked about being properly reimbursed by her office I was told they never received a check, yet when I called Blue Shield directly, I was informed that it had been cashed! Overall I found Dr. Da Silva's lack of professionalism and communication questionable to say the very least. I tried so hard to sort this out directly with her and was often outright ignored, it's been an absurd waste of my time. If you can afford $140/week in quick chiro treatments while preparing to bring a little one into the world, good on you, but I recommend taking your money elsewhere. If you rely on insurance to cover those expenses, don't even think twice about this office. read more

I saw Dr. Danielle for my very first chiropractic adjustment. I had no idea what to expect. I filled out a questioner and one of the questions asked if I had any pain. Not really thinking I did I put lower back. After Dr. Danielle took some time to look over my form she had me do small little exercises. After about 45min of spending time with me and explaining how these type of treatments work she noticed that my neck was very tight. I have not had a full range of motion in my neck for years. I thought it was normal because of my type of work. After she brought it to my attention she made small and gentle adjustments to my body. The next morning I woke up and low and behold I could move my neck with a full range of motion. It was pretty remarkable what she did for my neck. Aside from being really good at what she does, Dr. Danielle is very sweet and takes her time to explain everything in a way you can understand. I visited Bay Chiro. for a 4 year old issue with my upper back. It was the first time visiting a chiropractor for treatment and I was somewhat leery. Leanna treated me with cupping, massage and traditional chiropractic treatment. Wow- it really worked. The pain in my back went away and I believe it was the cupping treatment. I was in desperate need of a massage and was luckily able to get an appointment with Anita the same day. It was a very very good massage. Great touch, really helped. My only complaint was that the room was too cold. Extra blankets were added but the room temperature was a bit too cool to totally relax into a massage. I would like to suggest a room heater if the building air conditioning is not adjustable. Otherwise, I highly recommend getting a massage here. read more
