After a long day driving across TX, the last thing we wanted to do when we stopped in Clovis for…read morethe night was to order takeout. We YELPed restaurants, and one of our other favorites in town was closed, so we took a chance on the Cotton Patch Cafe. They were open for dine-in, and the whole experience was absolutely wonderful. Service was excellent. Our server, Hope, did a great job meeting all our needs -- including a large print menu (during COVID, when everything has to be wiped down again...), and she was as accommodating and pleasant as can be. The food was off the page. We both ordered burgers, one Nachadoches, and one traditional with cheese. We got sides of fries and onion rings. Normally, we don't eat the buns, but these were magnificent, not your run-of-the-mill hamburger buns! The burgers were juicy and tender, and the toppings as fresh and tasty as could be. The onion rings were HUGE, and perfectly breaded and fried, and there was a slight sweetness to them that was delightful. The french fries were nicely cut, but could have used a bit more time in the fryer to get just a little crispier. Not everything can be perfect, right? Next time we come through Clovis, we'll be back. And to the owners, thanks for that message of hope on the windows: Faith Over Fear!

We had to ask for our entrees and when they finally came out all of them were cold to the touch. Another family that came in about 20 minutes after us got their food at the same time (they had 7 in their party). The quality has been significantly decreasing each time we come. Highly recommend you go somewhere else. One last thing. We were there for an hour and never once were able to get a drink refill.

Bokka presents Korean cuisine in the flat dusty plains of Clovis, NM…read more My daughters were presented a handful of restaurants that we had never been to, and they went with Korean - "but we want to take it back to the motel." "Yeah, Mom." So I took to the DoorDash app for takeout. When we arrived, right away I noticed how small the front parking lot was. There are a few more spaces on the back side. Also, I drove by this place three times earlier in the day and I didn't realize this was a gem of a restaurant. The dine-in area was minimally decorated. It also was on the small side, but right away I was warmly greeted by a smiling older gentleman who clarified that I was welcome to sit down while I waited just a couple more minutes. The food was all so delicious. I did not order enough steamed dumplings ($6.50 for 6 pieces). Quickly I was reprimanded by both of my girls for this. But then I was quickly redeemed for sharing a few bites of my medium-spiced beef bulgogi ($17.99). The girls thought it was a bit on the spicy side, but we all agreed the flavor was absolutely amazing. Comforting. Both girls enjoyed a Korean ramen entree. The youngest said the spicy pork ($10.99) was really good. The oldest opted for mild spice with beef ($10.99) - and while she ate most of it, it took her a while because she doesn't tolerate spicy foods well. Recommended - but like many restaurants in Clovis, this place stay open only until about 8:30 PM and I believe they are closed Sunday & Monday.

This restaurant feels like a local place trying to compete with dominoes which is never a good idea…read morebecause you'll never be able to beat their prices and base level quality at the same time. For local pizza places to be successful they have to win the quality and customer service battle and this establishment does neither. Quality wise the food is ok but not great and overall their base red sauce is lacking in flavor. To make matters worse they messed up my order by giving one of my pizzas to someone else so when I arrived they had to remake it while my other pizza sat there and got cold. Nothing was done to try and compensate me for this mistake (no discount applied or comped added items like Dominoes would have). If their quality was way better or their prices way cheeper it wouldn't matter but they aren't. Overall if you leave a local establishment thinking you'd rather have gotten Dominoes it's not a good sign. It's not horrible so 3 instead of 2 stars but overall it's not great and for this kind of pizza you may as well go with the more consistent option in Dominoes ‍ Oh also they don't make their own ranch, they use Newman's brand. Another negative strike.
