I attended a Da Baby concert and was happy with the service from the beacham. The drinks were strong and the bar tenders were very nice! It was clean and it wasn't too crowded so it was good event. There was a lot of security so I felt safe during the performance and after. The bathrooms were clean also. I had the chance to go to VIP and it has a great view. The bar up stairs was amazing! My family and I went to the Beacham for a mixed martial arts event. There is a parking garage near by but I didn't like parking there. The parking is more for compact parking. We paid $10 for the parking. The beacham experience was ok. There is limited seating and to see the mixed martial arts event it was hard to watch. I really like UFC so I bought my ticket for this event. I found the location a bit run down and very limited seating. I had to grab a seat really quick for my mom because she cannot stand for too long. The fight was entertaining but I was limited on the what I can see at times. Some people were standing on the seats in front of the fighting area which caused most of us obstruct our viewing of the fight. The security was not telling people to sit down. This felt to me like an underground fighting place. The parking is nearby in a garage for $10 all night. read more

I came to the Beacham on October 30th 2023 to see a thrash metal show, which included GWAR, X-Cops, Negative Approach, and Cancer Christ. My Brother-in-law scored tickets for about $35, not a bad deal at all. Beacham staff performed security checks at the doors and also patted me down. Drinks were kind of expensive compared to what I am reading from other reviewers. They charged me almost $12 for whiskey and ginger ale, way more expensive than I expected, yet it was a strong drink. The show started on time and magnificently enough all four bands gave it their all. I am assuming moshing is permitted since the entire place went wild especially when GWAR started killing characters on stage and spraying the audience with the fake blood. If you have never seen them, I recommend going even if you don't like thrash metal, it's an experience you just have to be there for. I wouldn't say the Beacham is my favorite venue for shows, but it wasn't terrible either. The last time I was here was in the early 2000's when I lived in Orlando and it was called Taboo. Not much has changed, bathrooms still up front, big bar as you walk up to the dance floor, and a big enough stage for GWAR and X-Cops to put on their insane production. I definitely look forward to seeing another show here, hopefully the drinks won't be so expensive the next time around. One more thing, it is very loud in here, I always wear earplugs to shows; if you have them, bring them, you will thank me later. Went to the Beachum for a Broadway rave. We had a lot of fun once it started. The bar service was quick and friendly. The event started about an hour and 15 minutes after the time noted on the ticket so I guess it's a good idea to get there a little bit late. Only the downstairs was open, and there was very little seating. It was a fun night out, but it would be nice if there was more seating at this venue. read more

Okay so I am an avid concert go-er, and much like the sound bar in Orlando, I'm left wishing I didn't go to the show at the venue here. The acoustics are fairly terrible (we had balcony tickets which is a fair upcharge), the bars were not stocked well and security was aggressive. For security, I get it, Orlando is touchy with the sad history it has with Pulse, but I was at an 80s synthwave concert and I've seen security be cooler at a death metal concert. Believe it or not fellas, the crowds typically take care of themselves, if someone reallly needs to be removed, they will be. Going into the show you are hand searched which is standard at venues, they weren't overly annoying about it The bars, I counted three I seen, one directly to the left going in, one upstairs and one out to the right. It didn't take us long to get to the bar but they were out of a few fairly normal items for a venue, I was suprised. I've heard fairly awful sound at shows before at venues that would usually produce better so I'm sure it's possible it was a bad sound guy for the night don't get me wrong, but for this show I was not impressed. The merch booth was straight ahead going in the venue, kind of an issue with the bar to the left but I'm sure it's usually okay. I usually make it a point to NOT go to concerts in Orlando for some of these reasons, think from now on I'll stick to the Tampa music scene. read more

I went to see one of my favorite bands and spent $150 to hangout with them on their tour bus, hear some acoustic songs, and play some video games. The band gave instructions about their VIP thing to every venue on the tour. The Beacham was so incompetent not a single employee that I could ask knew anything about their VIP thing nor where I needed to go. I missed a once in a lifetime opportunity because they couldn't bother to either remember the instructions they were given or simply never disseminated that information to employees that would be able to help someone trying to find out the information that the venue was given. read more

Shout out to our bartender though, she was doing her absolute best within the provided work environment. Understaffed and understocked. Waited 20 min at one bar with acknowledgement or eye contact so we hopped to another bar. Waited another 30 min, finally got our beverages. When we went back for another round, we had to wait another 20-30 min because they didn't have the beer I wanted. To top it off, security staffing was rude and pushy. Disappointed :( read more

We had a pretty great time seeing my bfs favorite dj, Girl Talk. The club is pretty spacious, with 5 bars (4 on the dance floor, and one at the entrance). As well as VIP areas along the far right wall when entering, and VIP balconies circling 3/4 of the top of the club. The speakers are INSANELY loud, & I felt every single one of my 36 years standing near one lol. There was no cover to get in, and we purchased tickets online. The drinks are inexpensive, but strong as hell (my vodka and red bull was 99% alcohol, with a splash of Red Bull), and I only needed one drink. The actual stage is a little elevated and smaller, but the opening act, and Girl Talk with his entire entourage fit up there perfectly. I love that at various point they would drop confetti or balloons, but all I kept thinking was "damn this is gonna be a b to clean up" lol. All in all, we had a fun time, and I can't wait to go back for other events or to just hang out. read more

I had an opportunity to visit this place the weekend before Halloween and I can definitely say I enjoyed myself! It was definitely packed but it wasn't overwhelming it's enough space to move around for sure like the building is huge ! 8 out of 10 so I recommend! It's also conveniently located right on the main strip in Orlando so if this is not your cup of tea there's plenty of spots right next to them that might be! This place is a joke, steer very clear would be my opinion. Attend over 100 shows a year and this is by far the worst in the country I have experienced. Purchased VIP table upstairs and it's a complete ripoff, the wait staff is horrid....at best. The venue waters down their mixers, cranberry juice was colored water and barely red, ordered tonic 3 times and got soda water all 3 times and that took and hour and a half of the show as it was. They auto charge gratuity for the absolute worst service ever experienced. Absolute total ghetto experience. AND forget about getting help these day I'm surprised we even received a VIP table, now you don't even get a response. I wanted to see another band that was unfortunate enough to be going here again and called, emailed and even messaged on all their social media platforms for over a month now with absolutely no response, how the hell are they even in business? For the record, I've been here a couple times and it's always underwhelming. I wanted to wait until I had a good or bad experience to write a review, and tonight was the back breaker. Here we go: I live downtown and like to try different places each holiday. On NYE I unfortunately chose to go here. After a 30 minute wait, they let my girlfriend in for $45, which was already $5 more than they stated for the "express" line, then wouldn't give a refund after I wasn't allowed in. She spent around 3 minutes inside. That's about $15 PER MINUTE for anyone who doesn't want to do the math. No drinks or anything, this was just to get inside. I asked for a refund for her and they said no. I asked for a card for the owner to discuss the situation and they threatened to call the cops on me (lol). If you plan to go downtown go to any other bar. This place will literally steal your money and threaten you with cops the moment you're unhappy with the service. read more

I had fun dancing to new and old latin hits, though the college/high school crowd can be kinda annoying if you rather be at a bar (I would). It has not changed since I've been and I don't think that is good, but seeing how many people went that night means that they could care less about how the establishment looks - I used a railing walking upstairs and felt something sticky on my hand, I looked at my hand and saw some black residue. Even though I had fun, it might be a long while before I come back here. This place and Parliament house need to start a go fund me for renovation assistance. read more

Opened a tab and left my ID and credit card with the bartender. I walked out to grab a smoke but the event had just finished and I wasn't allowed back in. On my way home my tab was charged to my credit card and I thought, no problem I'll stop tomorrow after work. Unable to get a hold of anyone by home I stopped by the next day and was told no one was in the office and won't be there for another hour. I left my name and let them know I had left my ID and credit card the night before. I was not able to wait as I was still working. I did not receive a call back. I stopped by couple of days later and spoke with one of the managers. She went on to look but she could not locate my documents. I was told she did not know where to look and that the manager Shaz would call me back when he got in at around 7:30pm. No call was received. Today I finally received a call after reaching out and leaving voicemails. Left on hold for 15min before being let known that now the bar manager would call me. Received a call from the bar manager who claimed he was not responsible for my lost documents since now it was been days after the incident. He insinuated I had lost my documents at the bar. I explained that is not possible since my card and paper trail will indicate the charge had happened well after the event was over. I had provided my last 4 digits of my card so they knew for a fact that was the case as per their receipt records. Still, he claimed they're not responsible simply because of the time frame. Unacceptable. Management is not in the office at the appropriate hours. There is no one to promptly answers phone calls in cases like this. I debunked all the bar manager points and yet simply played dumb after the fact. You either need better training for your employees or new managers who know what they're doing. Nothing more frustrating and agreeing to points made and saying 'nope' at the end just to be smug. Do not trust this establishment with your documents. Pay cash or avoid it all together. If the response to my review is still 'well, time frame haha.' You've lost me as a customer all together; been coming here for years. If you'd really like to have a conducive discussion, put me in contact with a logical person. read more

4 Stars for a good venue for shows you'd want to dance at! First off, love that the Beacham has been around in one iteration or another for so long! Standing on the dance floor, looking up at the stage and then around at the balcony behind you, you can't help but feel that you're in a cool venue. To be fair, I wouldn't come here on a regular club night, but for a live show, it's legit. Nothing bothers me more than going to a great live show and sitting in a stuffy auditorium. This venue is for dancing and swaying to fabulous tunes, and for that, it provides the right space. I've also been here for a few parties by Orlando Weekly (Best of Orlando parties), and it's not ideal for food stations and lines... stick to the music events! Overall, I dig this venue for certain types of events. P.S. locals know that there is a secret tunnel underground connecting The Beacham and the Angebilt across the street. It used to be used by famous folks going from their hotel straight into the venue to perform. read more

I came to the Beecham for Orlando Weekly's Best of Orlando 2018 shindig - and before I get much further into my review of this club, I just want to say mad props and a Big Up Thank You to Yelper Erin G, who had a spare ticket and invited me as her date! Erin had also come to this event previously and so knew all the ins-and-outs, so thanks to her, we got in line around 6ish and were among the first to enter. There was a mad rush to get the bar, but we took our time, and got some Buffalo Bites from Tony Roma's and then also posed for photos. The entrance also had a vendor booth from a Mexican restaurant and also some other winners, so it was fun to wander around and check them out. I think its a great space to dance in - its big enough that it didn't feel crowded, and really good sound system. Also great and more intimate space upstairs in the balcony, which gave a fabulously commanding view of the stage. However, its only 3 stars for me, as the night I was there, found the floor to be just super sticky, and just was very uncomfortable walking around the dance floor. Well, I was impressed and so was my daughter. We came to The Beacham to see Adam Ant; and, were very impressed with the venue. From the queuing outside, through security, to the balcony seating, the bar, and the service, everything went smoothly. The staff were friendly and helpful. I only had a beer or two; but, the bartender was great. Adam Ant had been scheduled to appear here back in September; but, the hurricanes made rescheduling to February necessary. The Beacham, via Social Media, kept us up-to-date about the new show; and, responded to questions on their Facebook page in a timely manner. I was very impressed; and, we hope to return to see more shows. read more

We recently attended an event that took place at this venue. When we arrived there was a long line but it seemed to be moving relatively quickly. There was some pretty heavy security including metal detector wands and big security guards checking everyone's purses and Pockets before we walking in. Well I understand this for a club night it didn't really make sense for the Orlando Weekly "Best of Orlando" event. Kinda off putting honestly. Once inside it was extremely crowded and both my husband and I wondered how they were not breaking fire code. There were really long lines for all of the food vendors and even once you got up to the food they were really really small portions. Considering that there were only three or four vendors with food we were pretty disappointed and definitely left hungry. How do we know when it was going to be such small food portions we definitely would it be before going I recommend this for anyone who wants to go next time. This year they limited it to three drink tickets per person instead of last year's unlimited drinks. Personally I thought this was just fine and it was hard enough to get one drink let alone three after waiting at the bars. Bartenders seem to be overwhelmed with the influx of people and crowding. They weren't very friendly or welcoming. The majority of the vendors that were there we're honestly just trying to sell you something or get you to sign up for their email list to sell you something later. The music throughout all of the different venue options was incredibly loud making it difficult to talk to somebody standing right next to you let alone talk to anybody who might be a little bit of a distance away. Well this makes perfect sense for a night out clubbing it didn't really make a lot of sense for The Best of Orlando. Overall: D Left hungry. Could barely move through venue. Long lines. I was invited to a concert here for last night. I may have been to this venue 1 time before, but if I did it was many years ago, over a decade. I assure you, there are much better concert venues throughout Orlando than this place. As mentioned in previous reviews there can be longer lines but they move pretty quickly. There is a large security presence, which I'm fine with. However, it feels like they cannot be possibly living up to fire code because it gets so packed in there if there really was a fire someone is getting trampled. Also, there is almost nowhere to sit and when you have bad knees like I do and am still recovering partially from my broken leg, it is just ridiculous. Aside from how packed, it was about 5000 degrees. I don't know if the AC broke or couldn't handle the crowd or what but it's pretty bad when one of the bands gets on stage and offers to pay to have someone do something about it (which by the way never happened). There are lots of bars to get drinks at which is a plus. Unfortunately the one we were at had so so service and we had a much better time when we went out to the smaller bar in the lobby with a delightful girl working who was friendlier and speedier. The girl scanning tickets was also very nice. Luckily there was parking fairly close by. I just don't think I would come back because I'm too old now not to be able to sit, have it be 5000 degrees, and deal with the bs. Since I hadn't been to the Beacham in a while, I thought I'd give an update. It's a long time to leave a scathing review when a venue does have an opportunity to improve and change and be recognized for those changes. First off, the sound/acoustic of the venue: It's really hard to give a fair judgment here because there's so much variation. The setup of the band, the type of performance and what type of venue works best (bass or reverb heavy and washed out vs needing to be clear and precise in treble and timbre), where you're standing in the venue, and whoever is working the sound board that night all have an impact. I'd need to go to a diverse sampling of different artists to just this fairly. However, I saw Godspeed You! Black Emperor there recently, which I think is likely an extremely difficult band to do justice live in that there are string instruments that need to be heard within the space of multiple blaring electric guitars, distorted feedback, and double drumming. And while the instruments were understandably muddled together during the loudest moments, there were song moments of lesser intensity when all instrumentation was allowed to shine reasonably well. And despite the size of the venue, it does get satisfyingly loud (ear plugs recommended to avoid tinnitus). Like I said, I'm not sure if they've made improvements to the venue's sound system or acoustics in the last few years. It's better than I remember, but it's such a subjective thing that it's hard to determine. Long story short, I'll give a pass here. It seems POSSIBLE to have a good show here, but based on others' reviews of recent events, it seems highly variable and up to how effectively they set everything up. On the downside, it's still very much a club atmosphere. It definitely takes away from the experience of seeing a serious band when you've got the Martell Cognac booth and something called the Men's Closet all lit up and in your face. I get it - they're maximizing the space's use and profitability, and its consistent draw is likely what happens late in the evening with its private booths and bottle service. But that comes at a cost, and that cost is the atmosphere of the venue is worsened. Honestly, there's got to be a better way to balance the space to make it more versatile and open-ended to different moods and events. Still a negative here. As far as the drinks are concerned... It's whatever. The selection is a bit better these days, but still light on the craft beer. Once again, the selection is catered to its late night. It's a nightclub more than a rock venue, and the drink selection reflects that. Also, when I went, they wouldn't let me start a tab for some reason. I'm not quite sure why - seems strange. Had to do each transaction separately. Bizarre at a venue like this, but there may be a rationale here that I'm not aware. I can also tell they're probably on a timetable. They want the band in and out so they can turn into Tabu Nightclub. Once again, I get it, but it definitely makes the show feel like second fiddle to the main act, which is embarrassing because they have bring some incredible artists to the space. A band that likes to do an extended encore or something wouldn't get a chance to jam for a while, I don't think. It's still frustrating because it's one of the only optimally sized venues in the city that volume-wise sits in-between The Social and House of Blues / Hard Rock. There's just not much else in town, and they capitalize on that by using the venue as both a club space *and* a concert space. But the investments in the space seem more focused on the former, and as a patron of the latter, I feel like it's reasonable to call that out and be disappointed by it. My recommendations would be to: give the space a less branded facelift, and finds ways to transform the venue through more versatile measures like lighting and projection. Add more local craft brews to the beer selection -- there's so many great choices these days but the menu seems stuck in 2005 for some reason (with the exception of Hard Selterz which unsurprisingly they've embraced). Continue to invest in great sound tech and personnel to make every show--no matter what the genre--a great experience. And when you bring incredible talent to the venue, treat them with the highest respect, even if it means allowing the show to go as late as they'd like. read more

We came here tonight to see Devendra Banhart and it was awesome. Since we previously purchased our tickets lines moved rather fast. Once inside it was packed but they were sufficiently staffed with 3 bars. Each stocked with two people. We got our drinks Fairly fast. Prices were decent for a concert venu. Security was great here. I felt safe. They checked us upon coming in and they were over staffed with more than 10 security everywhere. The sound was amazing. I could hear everything crisply. For such a busy Venu the bathrooms were very cleaned and staffed with a kind person to provide you with napkins and other things you may need. Overall I really love this Venue and I will continue to come here for shows! read more

2019 Review 22/100 A pretty decent concert venue. I'm sure the experience varies widely based on if you attend on a club night or a concert night and who the concert is for. I've never been on a regular club night (and I don't think I would) but I've seen a few concerts at The Beacham over the years. And the experience was always just fine. This isn't a huge venue but it is much larger than some of the other concert venues downtown. There is a central area on the bottom floor that gets really crowded, as well as a second-floor balcony area. Acoustics vary depending on where you are. I've been in places where it's great other spots where...not so much. If you're at a larger concert, the bars can be hard to get to. One of them is right in the center of the first-floor concert area which, unless you're standing right next to it to enjoy the concert, is going to be tough to reach in a crowd. Overall, though, the venue is cool, has nice vibes for a concert, and they host some great artists from time to time. read more

If you hate SMOKE....another good reason to stay away. Tons walking around smoking cigarettes and weed...The second level was a straight smoke house....Establishment goes against every dress code they have listed on their website so it's clearly about money. ANYONE was allowed in. Music was ok but DJ didn't know how to smoothly mix the music from one track to the next! We had bottle service so not sure if the drinks from the bar were good or not! I have to update my review after going to the show on 04/17, Jarabe de Palo. This band is touring north America from Spain, they're awesome, I saw them at House of Blues last year and they are amazing live. Anyway, the site said "doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm", I assumed the opener would start at 8pm, but just in case I got there early, at the door I asked what time the headliner was starting and was told they were starting in a few minutes and would only play for an hour, they needed to cut down the show to 9:15pm. Ridiculous! So the show started, kind of in a rush with the band playing about 3-4 songs non-stop. Then they apologized because the venue cut their set time to only an hour due to some other event afterwards. What in the hell??? These guys are in tour from Europe, and tickets were not cheap ($35), and the venue cuts them to an hour??? They couldn't even play an encore, they apologized profusely and told us they'd come back and make it up to their fans, probably at a different venue. Beacham, I tried to give you one shot after another, because for some reason you get the good acts to play at your crappy venue, but this is it! I am done. read more

The two times I've been to see a concert at this venue, I've camped out hours in advance, so to be in the front and be near the band I want to see. However, both times, approximately an hour prior to the doors opening, they have walked out, taken the back half of the line, and created a NEW line with them. This is INCREDIBLY frustrating and disheartening, as those of us who spent hours waiting for them are now at risk of not getting in front of the concert, as we anticipated. When asking a manager why they do this, we were told "It's just what we do". When we asked the manager "Could you open the doors for us first, since we've been here for hours?", we were told "You'll get in don't worry". My girlfriend expressed frustration, to which the manager said very snarky "What, you got a problem?". Just an incredibly frustrating venue and staff. read more

I have only been here for three events. Nejame's annual Christmas party, Orlando Weekly's Best Of party and an 80's pub crawl. I enjoyed myself at both events and the space was very large so it didn't seem too overcrowded and was a good venue for each event. When I was there for the 80's pub crawl I had a great time and the music they played was great, but...of course the crowd in there wasn't the typical crowd that is there on regular nights. I'm not a huge fan of the Beachum to go there on a Friday or Saturday night, but do like it for events. I have also heard that it's a good concert venue, which I have no experienced myself firsthand though. One thing I do have to say is that the stairs for the upper levels are not lit up very well and can be hard to see. I had a pretty embarrassing moment when I fell at Nejame's Christmas party because I did not see the last step and missed it completely and landed right on my knees and had giant rug burns, bleeding and bruising on both knees which has left a scare on one of them. Luckily the Grinch was there to help. My birthday was two months after this event and my dear friends bought me a clip on flashlight as a joke (since yes, we were still making fun of that night two months ago) to bring out with me in the future for whenever we go somewhere with stairs. Last night, thanks to Culture Climax, I attended Atmosphere. Amazing show! Such a fabulous performer. I jumped the gun on this one. I guess I was upset more at the crowd of the last show I attended here instead of the venue. Last night the crowd was fabulous. I also stayed in the middle of the venue in between the two back bars and had a fabulous view and Jeff K is right, the acoustics are pretty awesome. However, the bass literally had my insides shaking... good thing I was into it! The chick at the back bar when you walk in to the left is super nice and always pours a nice one! Still wish they would clean the place up a bit! I think I am going to chill where I chilled last night for the other shows I attend here! read more
