This is a good place to get a bite to eat. Good burgers and steaks. Small bar to the side without a lot going on most nights. Family oriented atmosphere. But the food is expensive. Even for Pinedale it is expensive. Not my first choice for food but not a bad choice. read more

We are gong to wedding this weekend in Boulder. We were told of a good eating spot at Daniel Jct. , a few miles Westof Pinedale, Wy. That was a lie. This place is great Service by Madison was superb. The bread was warm and delicious, the salad was crisp, my wife got soup and loved it. Then came our dinner We each ordered chicken fried steaks (gigantic), real mashed potatoes (delicious) and gravy. We have now been here twice on our one week stay in the area. Two separate groups of locals recommended The Den to us and now we are recommending it to others. Friday and Saturday nights, the prime rib is not to be missed. The breakfast is amazing (try the eggs Benedict Florentine). Breakfast, lunch and dinner are a winner. The owners are also great people. Our favorite place for breakfast. They will serve half portions (of otherwise huge meals!) on request. The Florentine Benedict has delicious hollandaise and my husband ALWAYS orders the half order of biscuits and gravy. This is meaty enough to have without extra protein. And, they will make you a two egg omelet also upon request if the three egg is too much fir you, like it is for me. And for dinner, so friendly and accommodating. There are many items in the menu including prime rib and jaeger schnitzel. A full bar and many beers, including craft beers on tap. The owners and staff are friendly and fun making this a comfortable place to dine. You may want to make reservations for dinner time on weekends. read more

This wonderful restaurant is about 13 miles outside of Pinedale behind a gas station but definitely worth the drive. Much better than anything we could find in Pinedale. The food was first class! The service was absolutely wonderful (thank you, Christine! - make sure to ask for her), the place is adorned by beautiful large photos of Utah's wild nature and filled with locals, i.e. not a tourist trap! They don't serve you art to eat they serve you good food! This is WY, not CA or NY. After spending one month in Wyoming, this hidden gem was the best eatery we experienced! read more

I am sure the frequent customers don't want this out but you owe it to yourself to stop. The customer service is the first item you are served with. Hostess, waitresses and everyone else is doing a great job of providing a great experience. The food was great and you won't walk away hungry. This restaurant is a gem! It's clean and bright, the bar is spacious and well appointed. Every dish is fantastic, especially the steak and buffalo. We had the calamari/shrimp, which comes with a delicious and unexpected pesto along with the traditional dipping sauce. The jalapeño poppers are amazing, too. We stumbled upon this restaurant when I was driving from Indiana to California with my dad. It was getting dark, and we were looking for a place to eat. We were really surprised to find this place, which turned out to be one of the best experiences throughout our 3000 mile long trip. The food was excellent, prices are fair and service was flawless. We got to know the restaurant owners, who were very helpful and told us a lot about how they started the restaurant. Visiting Pine Dale a good friend suggested we check out The Den. We timed it just right & missed the dinner rush by arriving just before 5 PM on Saturday. We ordered the homemade beer batter onion rings as an appetizer. Which we had to ask for, but they were happy to serve them to us. There were 3 adults & a toddler in our group, 2 of us shared the 12 oz Steak. We ordered it Medium Rare & it came out cooked to perfection, full of flavor & juicy. The baked potatoes were soft & the mixed vegetables were also full of flavor. The side salads & homemade bread were the perfect addition to our meal. The other adult in our group ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. The batter was flakey, flavorful, the gravy creamy. The toddler was excited to see Mac & Cheese on the kids menu she happily colored. Our overall experience was a great one. The service was prompt, kind, & joyful. Definitely worth the stop. read more

This restaurant was a huge surprise. It is located behind a convenience store and gas station. However, don't let that fool you. The decor is perfect for Wyoming. It is upscale and western at the same time and the entire restaurant and bathrooms were pristinely clean as well. Our server was fantastic. She could not have been nicer and was attentive without being pushy. As far as the food goes, it was all fabulous. My husband is a Chicken Parmesan lover and he said it was one of the best he's ever had. My youngest son and I shared a Reuben sandwich and onion rings which were both terrific. The corned beef had the perfect texture and thickness. It definitely wasn't run-of-the-mill deli corned beef and I found out that they make it themselves. I was impressed. The salad was also perfection with lots of goodies including healthy greens and other veggies rather than iceberg lettuce (which I hate). The only thing that makes our rating a 4 is that my husband said his coffee was lousy. We highly recommend foregoing Jackson restaurants if you're heading south just to make a visit to The Den. read more
