Fast service- we got our food in 10 mins. Friendly staff, checked on us several times. Good food, flavorful and big portions!

Such a great spot for local, hearty fare and to meet friendly locals. The coffee ($2.75/each) was your usual diner brew but was served fresh. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak (tender beef fritter smothered with country gravy, eggs cooked your way, hash browns and choice of toast, $12.99). I had heard there is nowhere that serves the iconic meal like a Wyoming diner so I had to try it. I'll admit, it was pretty great compared to other Chicken Fried Steaks I'd had! They went heavy on the creamy, hot gravy and the steak was juicy and tender. Hash browns were cooked to perfection! My husband got the French Toast Combo ($10.99) and the few bites I had were fantastic. It came with two eggs and choice of two bacon slices or sausage links. The French toast was fluffy and made with Texas toast bread. 10/10 all around!!

Decent food and service. Interior needs an update. It's old inside but not the Old West type of old. Worth a try.

Nice hone style cooking. After days on road of fast food, it was a welcomed meal. We had dinner and it was good.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening and dinner…read more Possibly the best ribeye I've had in the past 10 years, but the other "foam and powder"aspects of the dish were just silly. The so called General Tso steak sauce was like a thimbleful smear and completely irrelevant. BBQ Ramen seasoning? Not even enough to get a taste profile of it. The trout with a green curry sauce was good but again, ummmm.... Trout has a subtle flavor. Green curry coconut sauce, and stuffed with another type of Asian something something....might as just as well better to use a neutral tasting fish like a better quality tilapia imho. Let trout taste like trout. Use a different, neutral tasting fish for these kinds of sauces and fillings. Well at least it wasn't covered with a garnish of micro greens lol. Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. And the foam and powder embellishments on the steak were barely noticeable. The whole menu reads like a community college cooking school graduate little bit of this little bit of that. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. Great, festive, lively ambiance . Super friendly staff and service.

With so many strong restaurants in Jackson, this one didn't stand out as one we would revisit…read more Our server was lovely--friendly, attentive, and clearly doing their best. Unfortunately, the bar was painfully slow. Our first round of drinks took about 15 minutes, and the second took closer to 30 minutes after ordering. We eventually had to check in to make sure they were even coming. The food was fine, but not something we'd come back for. The elk pasta lacked the depth and richness you expect from a bolognese. The trout--poblano stuffed and curry-prepared--was an interesting idea, but the curry completely overpowered the fish, making the dish feel unbalanced. We had curry-dusted trout at The Blue Lion earlier in the week that was far better. (One of the best trout meals I've ever had.)

How can you go wrong with ranch-style "almost entirely homemade" comfort food? I guess you could,…read morebut this place has it dialed. They truly care, and it shows in the food preparation and taste. We decided to give the ranch-promise a test and jumped for the $29 16oz grilled ribeye. Cooked mid-rare, it was deliciously tender and well seasoned. The cut of meat was the star of the show, not to be overpowered by any seasoning or sauce. Perfect! The Brussels sprouts were tender and slightly charred (my favorite), and the fresh mashed potatoes and brown gravy were home style comfort food by definition. It is a LOT of food, so feel free to share (would be like 2 6 oz steaks if you choose not to chew the fat). Very happy to have had this before a week of freeze dried and camp-prepared food while we backpack in the Wind River range nearby!

Our visit started bad. The waitress was upset that she had to get off of her personal phone call to…read morepitch the menus on our table. That set the tone. She asked for drink order and brought those to the table. She asked if we were ready to order. My husband said he needed a minute. She took one step back from the table and stood there holding her pen and order pad. Awkward. We placed our order, and the waitress disappeared. She returned later to bring our food and disappeared again. The food was not great. Potatoes were undercooked and biscuits were hard even covered in gravy. However, the cook was the best part of the visit. He was very friendly. The waitress showed up briefly to drop off our bill, and you guessed it...disappeared. When the cook came to collect our plates, I asked of he could check is out. He said sure and went to fi d the waitress. When she brought our change to the table, I immediately realized the change wasn't right. Hubby gave her a fifty to cover a tab of $33.31. She brought back change in the amount of $11.69. Hubby was about to put it in his wallet when I saw what she gave him. I told him that it was short by $5. I called her over and told her it was wrong. She smiled and went to get a five out of the register. Thank you, Stephanie G. for getting our stay at the property off to a good start.
