However that second Sunday the plates were a bit skimpier. I assume it was the owner that plated our orders on the second visit. There are tables to dine in, however it appears most people take their orders to go. Honestly the decor isn't very inviting to sit down and enjoy your meal. There's also a drive thru, but it appears you have to order and wait at the same window so not sure how fast it moves.

The area around this location is poorly maintained (a Hooters across the road is empty and overgrown, and the restaurant next door looks like the roof is about to cave it) but inside Fried Green Tomatoes is a very friendly, customer-focused staff serving some of the best Southern food I've had in a looooooong time! Their chicken is perfect and the tomatoes! I will each three servings of the FGT's next time, no doubt! Do not miss this place. . .they deserve all the business they can get! The dressing was a bit dry. They offered a choice of gravy that likely would have helped but I don't like gravy on my dressing. The cabbage were a bit overcooked but all was still edible. My mother had turnips on her plate, she advised they were tough also I sampled her yams and they were really good. 7.5 out of 10, would try again.
