I don't write reviews often, but this one is well deserved. This was hands down the best facial and massage I've had in Virginia Beach. Ryan gave exactly the kind of massage I was hoping for -- therapeutic, intentional, and incredibly intuitive. He worked out kinks I didn't even know I had. It was the perfect balance of firm pressure and relaxation, and I walked out feeling looser, lighter, and completely reset. Cynthia was equally amazing with my facial. At 51, taking good care of my skin is important to me, and she truly listened to every concern I mentioned -- especially about congestion. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and gentle while still being effective. My skin looked clearer, brighter, and felt refreshed the moment I walked out. The entire experience felt personalized and thoughtful from start to finish. I left feeling like a brand-new woman. I am at a loss for how to describe my massage by Allyson. Wonderful/ soothing/relaxing/other-worldly great...nothing i can write will adequately describe how gifted Allyson is at her craft. The setting is lush and dark and calming, and Allyson quickly found the tensed muscles that needed attention and gently, expertly relaxed them. Awww, I'm so glad that I found this cute local's spa. Devin is very welcoming and you can tell that she tries to get to know everyone and make them feel welcome when they come in. I heard her greeting usual customers as I checked in and I love that. This is a small spa and salon but the room in front where I had my prenatal 90 minute massage with Mary was actually pretty quiet once I got settled. I really couldn't hear most of the traffic outside or sounds and was able to fully relax. My massage was wonderful and Mary has a very calming personality with a soft touch. It was exactly what I needed at 6 months pregnant and I'll be booking one (minimum) a month from here on out. The next day, I returned for a spa pedicure with Devin and it's beautiful! I found out about this spa via VBHotDeals a few weeks ago. Mother's Day was approaching in less than two weeks and I needed plans. I found a deal for a one hour deep tissue massage... $40. I brought two for my mother and I to enjoy some pre-Mother's Day fun together. I called the Spa about a week prior to scheduling the appointments and appts. were scheduled with ease. To be exact, I called the Saturday before our Friday's appt. (last Friday). We arrived a few minutes after our scheduled time, but no worries... I was serviced by Laura and my mom by Michael. The massage was exactly one hour and what a relaxing hour it was! I have visited other spas in and out of the area and this experience by far exceeds them all. I highly recommend you book immediately, esp while savings are in place. Laura was awesome! She asked what pressure I preferred, DEEP... and DEEP it was! My mom said she could hear me snoring!! Ooops... yeah, it was that relaxing! The warmth from the table... it was all perfect! This spa is located in a fairly busy shopping area off of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Strip. The parking didn't pose a problem... a small parking lot is right outside the door. Definitely check them out sooner than later. Have fun and enjoy life :) read more

I have contemplated long and hard about how to write this review; overall a very lovely experience, wonderful staff and a clean environment! I had two services done in January, one week apart. The first was a facial which was undeniably lovely. I received the HydraGlo facial which was a one-hour service. Cassie was incredible; her technique flawless, the products she used made me feel detoxed and amazing, and was a wonderfully relaxing experience. I would return in a heartbeat for Cassie! The second of the services was a bit of a miss for me. My husband and I both received massages as our Christmas gift to each other. Scheduling was fairly challenging, though Devin made sure to accommodate and was very responsive throughout the process! Janet even called once to let me know they were still working on getting us scheduled, as one of the therapists was ill. No worries at all. We are flexible!! Let me preface this by saying that I've been getting professionally massaged for around 15 years at this point (I struggle with a lot of chronic neck and back pain). The massage technique of my therapist was not for me. There was just a lot of....pressing. There was no getting into the crevices of the muscles and I didn't feel like the issues I circled on my sheet when checking in were talked about. My husbands massage was also just fine. I would return here for a facial in a second, but will unfortunately seek another place for massage. The other drawback is that you can hear absolutely all noise from the front room, diminishing the ability to relax more. The price point for a massage is $100 here, as it is a spa. So, I don't feel like total relaxation or goal was achieved for me, given that factor. I do think this is a place that offers many services, so you will probably just have to visit and see for yourself! read more

This Spa was recommended to me by a friend. I am so glad I canceled my appt with my usual nail salon and made a same day appt at The Beauty Tree Spa. I've got to say it was the best thing I've done for myself lately. Although my previous nail product proved to be an extreme removal challenge; Cassie and Laura were ever patient and managed to get it off. I'm anxious to see how this new product, Dazzle Dry, holds up. I like the thought that it's much more of a natural product then gel or acrylic, though tougher then traditional polishes, and air dries completely in 5 minutes. I also received the best pedicure I've ever had in years. Their massage chairs are not like the traditional shiatsu type that beats you up with their hard rotating balls. This one is has more of a gentle vibrating/massage action with several choices of delivery. The shop itself is on the smaller side, which only adds to it's charm. They put their customer's needs first and foremost. The cost is comparable with other shops offering the same services. Parking is not an issue at all. Mary is an outstanding massage practitioner; she is very educated regarding the mechanics of the body and will ensure that the work done is specific to YOUR needs which is not always the case in this field. She also has a number of tools that can be used such as cupping, etc. Simply put, you will not find someone that puts more of their heart and soul into each massage. I have been following my aesthetician, Cassie, for at least three years and I am happy to see her at The Beauty Tree Spa. Cassie is talented and amazing in completing my facials, back facials as well as natural and gel manicures and pedicures. She also provides relaxing massages during my facials and pedicures. Cassie is super responsive and accommodating with my ever-changing work and travel schedule. I am grateful that she is available some late evenings and weekends. I also enjoy chatting with the owner, Janet. Each time I enter the spa, I admire the tree designs, clean and natural decor and her green thumb. I cannot get over how deep green are her plants! We both have a public relations/advertising background, so I also adore the design of her business cards and marketing materials. Another favorite part of the spa is the natural and organic products. The Shira brand products keep my dry skin moisturized in between appointments. The gel polish contains seaweed and no acrylic; a new type of gel polish is available, which I have yet to try. There is also a variety of herbal tea to sip on while in the pedi chair. How exciting that free yoga classes will be offered on Sunday mornings. Massage therapy is also available. There is a BEMER therapy chair for increasing vascular circulation available as an add-on service. The services and products are reasonably priced, and I like being notified of monthly specials. The spa has its own free parking lot and is conveniently located across the street from the beach in Virginia Beach Oceanfront. I am a frequent flyer and happy client at The Beauty Tree Spa. My brother and I recently treated our mother to a birthday spa day. She enjoyed being pampered and realized that she needs to take time out for herself more often. read more

I received several services that day (back facial, pedicure, eyebrow tint and shape, and bikini wax) each service was done with the upmost professionalism. This was my first time ever getting a massage, it was a gift from my boyfriend after he did his research in the area for best rated spa's, he called and they were very helpful and informative over the phone as to what he wanted me to receive. I had Michael and he was so nice and professional, I was nervous at first as this was my first massage however he made me feel very relaxed and I enjoyed my hour massage. Beautiful Day Spa! Yes I am blessed to be a part of the beauty tree spa team as a licensed massage therapist. However, receiving services there is another ball game within itself. The expert staff members are quite good at what they do. Devin and Cassie painted my nails to perfection and the French lasted over a week with the beautiful dazzle dry. I absolutely adore this spa. First, they use only natural products which I had been searching for a place that dies this for years, as traditional nail services and products are so toxic. I saw Cassie for my mani/pedis, she is gentle and and makes it a perfectly relaxing experience. She is also lovely to chat with. I saw Laura today for a massage and it was one of the top 3 best massages I've had in my life and I have had many massages in many cities and countries. Definitely check this charming spa out!! On a whim, I was looking for a spa for a lux mani/pedi within walking distance of the Hilton. There were a few options but I selected the Beauty Tree. The prices were reasonable and the products used, natural. I was able to get an appointment for the same day. My nail tech - Devin - was very sweet and friendly. And she had the most gentle touch - perfect for my sensitive feet. I typically have to "grind" through pedicures with a wince...but not this time. I decided to try the "Dazzle Dry" vegan line for my manicure. Cactus polymers?? Sign me up! It dried in 5 minutes. No kidding. I look forward to see how long it lasts. The shop owner was very friendly and happily made me a list of restaurant recommendations. I loved it so much, I'm going back for a facial tomorrow!!! read more

I typically do not write reviews but my fiancé solely chose this place based off the reviews and paid for a mini spa day for me so I felt compelled to share my experience. First, I was there for 4.5 hours for a 1 hour massage, deluxe manicure and pedicure, which I knew it would be a few hours but it was almost 5 hours. I was there almost an hour after closing to finish my pedicure. The only reason why I am giving 2 stars over 1 is the massage. Michael was great and extremely knowledgeable. It made me extremely uncomfortable when the owner and staff were making comments about another local business when they had a personal bad experiences. It was not only one comment but it was an entire conversation that they both actively participated it in for several minutes with profanity. The owner had left to get a massage during business owners and left the front desk unattended. Another employee or someone was supposed to show up but didn't. The person giving me the pedicure left to check her out, which isn't a problem but is when someone leaves for a personal treatment during business hours. The owner apologized twice during the experience for being okay with the employee leaving to go checkout another customer and the language she used. If you are an owner apologizing, then that is a red flag to me. I'm a new mom who doesn't get to pamper myself much so I was looking forward to a relaxing little spa day but it was leaving me disappointed with the atmosphere and lack of professionalism. I will unfortunately not be returning back to this establishment. read more

The owner and staff are wonderful. They use a natural treatment for your nails and I was told that it was comparable to gel, well no it isn't. The polish was so thin you could see through It. It lasted 8 days and started to peel. If gel is your choice then this isn't for you. My gel lasts over two weeks and still looks good this was very poor. read more

I just had the best manicure that I have ever had in my entire life! (I am 66 so that's a lot of life ... and a lot of manicures!) ... We just moved to Va Beach from Austin Texas and I was searching the internet for a place to call home for manicures, and this one had so many five-star reviews, I decided to give it a try. What a wonderful morning. I was assigned to Laura ... and I loved her immediately. She is soft spoken and so gentle with her manicure technique that I almost felt like I was receiving a massage! And, yet, at the same time she smoothed my cuticles in the most professional way I have ever received. I also tried the Dazzle Dry vegan line of natural polish. It looks beautiful and my nails dried in 5 minutes ... so a little bit like gels' fast drying, but I will be able to remove it with regular polish remover. Game changer! (PS you will notice that the scent upon entering doesn't knock you over with chemical odors, but rather the scent of delicate essential oils, since they use so many natural products.) ... I also had a brow waxing and lash tinting and both were relaxing and beautifully executed.
