Hidden Gem! I'm not typically over in this area of Virginia Beach, but today I wanted to find a salon that takes walk in for a last minute full set before an event tonight. I found this salon on google and I was not disappointed! Even as a walk in, I was seated quickly. The place was clean and had a cute earthy theme. I decided to get a pink and white ombré today with shorter nails since I use a computer a lot. My tech( I didn't catch his name) took the time to make sure the shape was perfect. For the first time ever I saw an ombré made with an airbrush. Sounds silly, but that was probably the coolest thing I've ever seen lol. It turned out exactly how I wanted it. This was my second or third time visiting this salon for a pedicure. Me and my sister both requested acrylic overlay on our big toes and were shuffled around between 3 techs before our pedicures started seemingly because they weren't all able to do acrylic. Fair. I told the person doing my pedicure that I wanted acrylic and I was told "no you don't need that , I can do it without." While trying to upsell me on a different pedicure. I reiterated that it what I wanted because of two splits on my toenail causing my pedicure to last maybe 3 days. (I was also told No by a different tech last time I visited the salon but left somewhat satisfied.) I watched the tech build up my toenail with layers and layers of nail glue and gel polish and top coat. I was completely unsatisfied every time the tech checked in with me and they continued to tell me it will look fine when they were done. It in fact did not look fine and I left very unsatisfied. I paid for a service and was willing to pay for what I wanted and what was available on the menu. My sister received her acrylic with no issue in the seat beside me. I will not be returning or recommending this salon in the future. These photos were taken 30 mins after my pedicure. Glue everywhere , VERY thick polish, and still an obvious split in my toenail. read more

Although Grace Nails is a clean and well maintained salon with talented nail technicians. I have to say my 5 star view of them has changed. After having several services done here it's safe to say their prices are astronomically higher than other salons in the area. The nail techs seem overworked and stressed. The quality of their services do not match the high prices. Although they are up on the trends for nails, they just don't cut it when it comes to laying acrylic, ( I often left with acrylic or gel paint on on skin), shaping and filing, ( I've endured a clipped cuticle or two,) or organization when it comes to appointment booking. Go somewhere that honors appointments, cleans the shop and tools, and respects the customers. Most salons I go in these days will not do natural art nail designs without gel polish which ruins your nails. I took my 7 year old for an appointment where I was told she could get natural nail art. Before this gel wave came in there were multiple natural nail art salons. I was told and confirmed when I got there my 7 year old could get designs with nail polish on her nails. When she sat down they said they could only use gel. Gel ruins your nails and 7 year old does not require and chemical treatment. She did not get designs. I did with my natural nail and left paying $58 for a natural nail gel manicure with minimal ugly design. DONT GO HERE. They are not accommodating to people they want to make the most money. Stop paying people for services when they don't respect you!!!! read more

After today I will no longer support Asian nail salons after what I witnessed and experienced. I'm so disgusted by the lack of cleanliness the establishment I visited had. Not only was the overall service trash but the equipment that the nail lady used on me she gave it to the nail tech next to her that used it on the client besides me without cleaning it when I told management all they said was ok and continue to let them use the tools. I then went up to the lady who they were servicing and told her exactly what happened and atp they changed out the tools. . . The atmosphere is incredibly comforting here. It is apparent that the business owners take great pride in the appearance and cleanliness of this spa, and they do amazing work. My feet required extra care (I don't take the best care of them) and they were extra gentle, while taking care to clean and refurbish my feet. I normally have my go-to nail tech (acrylic nails) at another nail salon, but I decided to take off my acrylic nails at home and I successfully completed my left hand but then it was a struggle to take off the rest on my right hand, so I gave up. I knew my tech was going to be super busy, so I came here since previously they did a manicure when I had short nails and they did a good job but never posted a review. When I came back they were very accommodating, everything was clean and organized. They have such an ray of colors, which I want to try all of it. I asked one of the techs if they could do a design and he said yes, unbeknownst to me he was the owner. As I was getting my mani done, which was pain free (if you had acrylics you know that the nail bed can be weak and tender), I found out that he and his wife were the new owners. They were such a sweet couple and took pride in their work. They take card, cash, venmo. Cash tip is suggested but not required. I look forward to my next mani. Today was my second visit and while I had to wait about 25 minutes, it was completely worth it. They take their time and my names look amazing. I can usually go three weeks in between fills. Their hours and location fit my needs perfectly. I got a mani/pedi. I made an appointment and they took me right in. They asked if I wanted my toe nails clipped. I said yes, he did my right foot but not my left. I had to tell them no gel at least 4 times. He took a personal call while doing my manicure. There was a 2.50 charge for using a card instead of cash. He was pretty rough during my pedicure and seemed like he was in a hurry. Grace nail spa has to be the worst experience I ever had ! The young lady who did my nails, an African American, had no clue as to what she was doing and very distracted. I had to tell her several times that one of my fingers hurt and to please be gentle. She proceeded to squeeze that finger each time. She also never completely took off the tip . When I tried to explain this she became defensive and stated" that's your natural nail". I had a fill that was so thick and unnatural looking which cost me 52.00 dollars! I was looking forward to a pedicure but when I saw she was doing that as well I said I needed to cancel. Sadly, the owners did not notice how awful this person was. I would suggest that customers should be treated with kindness and professionalism this was not the case therefore I will never return. read more

Not worth the price, go somewhere else. They laid the file on my skin while filing which, in turn, was filing my skin along with it. Mad painful. When i asked for a certain look that i had saved on my phone (which wasn't even a complicated design, just a black and white french tip) the nail tech glanced at it then never looked at the reference picture again. Naturally this meant the style came out wrong. My cuticles were never touched even though i picked that package. Never once did he brush off the dust from the automatic filer which was kicking up so much dust that it got into my eyes, making them burn. I couldnt use my hands to wipe it out because they were burried in dust, so i just sat there crying like i just watched Titanic or something. He was so rough with my nails that they hurt for TWO DAYS after i got them done. Because of my job i dont get my nails done often, so when i do its such a special treat. I wanted to give at least two stars because the atmospere was great and the end results dont look terrible, but between the pain and unprofessionalism i cant even do that. Really disappointed that the one time i get to do this, i made the mistake of coming here. read more

The overall sanitation of the salon, is horrendous. I've had my cuticles nipped to the point of bleeding, absolutely no sanitation once so ever.
