It included a deep cleanse, exfoliation, red light therapy, facial massage and more. I felt extremely relaxed and comfortable during the appointment. My esthetician was very attentive to my skin and personal needs. She made the entire experience feel fabulous. The room was quiet with soft music playing. SERVICE: I called on a Friday to make an appointment the next day, Saturday, and they have availability for a simple pedicure, but I'd recommend calling further in advance if you want to treat yourself to a nicer package. The young woman at the front desk was friendly, efficient, and professional. A good first impression. LOCATION: This place is located on the busy 21st Street; they tell you when you're making the appointment to park in the apartment structure where it's 2 hours of free parking or park on the street (there are tons of street parking). I have done several pedicures and facials here, and the quality is always great. I'm incredibly picky about pedicures but have loved every one I've gotten. They have also lasted much longer than others I've gotten. The price for the quality is really reasonable! I haven't ever had an issue scheduling the pedicures, though with facials have found I need to schedule a bit further in advance for specific dates. I have also never had an issue finding street parking in the area. read more

This is the absolute best spa in Norfolk. The attention to detail from everyone is top quality. I have been going for a few years to get manicures, pedicures, massages, facials and a haircut. The manicures and pedicures are beyond what I have ever experienced at any nail shop. The polish lasts for at least 2 weeks and I am extremely hard on my hands. The pedicures will leave you with new feet. My favorite part is that every employee takes their time with your service. The massages are heavenly! The facial I had was so relaxing and lovely. When I tried the hair salon services this summer I was pleased with how the hair stylist took their time to listen and on the cut. The spa packages they offer are super reasonable! For a while, my friend had been telling me it's the only salon in town she'll go to, and now I see why. It is elite in all aspects - the place is clean, quality is impeccable, and techs are incredibly kind and attentive to detail. Not once did I feel rushed (and I had multiple services) and everyone made sure to go the extra mile and ensure I was happy with my service, and most importantly, comfortable. I booked the Signature package for my fiancée and I in celebration of her 41st birthday and Elite knocked our socks off. This is the cleanest salon I've ever been in, and the staff was friendly, welcoming and patient. We never felt rushed, and they went out of their way to make the day special for us. From the time we checked in, and throughout each service we were treated like queens. We got the massage, facial and mani and pedi and hands down this was the best facial and pedicure we've ever gotten. Not to say the other services weren't great but man, those were unforgettable. A schedule appointment for manicure/pedicure. Natalia did my pedicure, she was phenomenal...very patience, detail and gentle. I didn't feel RUSHED! Thank you Natalia for doing an awesome job on my feet. I asked for one coat of polish and she honor with no feedback. Manicure was with someone else by name of Naior who did my manicure last visit. I wasn't pleased but I figure maybe she had lot going on. So this visit I express my concerns with high hopes she would be attentive, display empathy and exhibit exceptional customer service. My request was simple 1) please get my cuticles 2) shape my nails square 3) don't want them file down 4) one coat Her reply I will try but your nails grow that way. As I tried to explain my about my last experience with her about she leave return an offer another technician. My only response whatever you feel best. Another nail tech comes, ask what color because the other tech never bother to ask. She shape my nails as originally requested but she file them so low and some nails curved with a dip in the middle of few nails (unattractive). She does really well with my cuticles. She's rushing cause she has an 4pm appt. She polish my nails an I explained I only want one coat, she goes on to say it's not going look good (the insults). As I was trying to share with her I don't do color so it's out of my comfort but she doesn't want to hear me (the customer). So she tells me it's got streaks, so I say I wanted you to polish the entire nail not half way, she stops an remove the polish from both hands and walks away. I'm sitting at the table for about 5 minutes so I get up an go to the cashier who cashes me out and she returns an looks at me an greet her 4pm client and NOT once acknowledge me. I paid for 1/2 service...unsatisfactory to charge me for partial service and not offer an apology for bad customer service. read more

Wow, so I stopped getting my eyebrows waxed because they had been so over done by people who don't know what they're doing. I've been letting them grow out during the pandemic and then got them threaded a few times. I've been scared about getting them waxed again, but Elite Day Spa is A-mazing! My brows are on point!!! And they last a long time, about three weeks before they look messy. This is the second time I've gotten them done at this location. Thanks for taming my Middle Eastern brows!!! I also loved the vitamin C facial I got a few weeks ago. I have eczema- but left the spa glowing. I love the pedicures too. They spray it with a quick dry so you're not sitting for ever waiting for them to dry. Also - the polish they use is of great quality. Cute colors too. I also got a hair cut and dye with the adjoining salon - they helped me to donate like 9 inches of hair. Really nice staff. All of staff is so patient and accommodating. Yesterday evening, after bar-hopping all around the neighborhood of Ghent, my friends and I made our final stop at 80/20 Burger Bar. I decided I had enough alcohol for one day, and having passed by Elite European Day Spa, I decided to come back for a pedicure, while my friends got drunk. They have a few options that they offer, and after careful deliberation, I ended up choosing the one-hour "Sports" pedicure. My foot specialist, Debbie, worked on my feet, shaping the nails, and removing the cuticles and grinding away the rough calluses I had developed the last few months from marching and working in boots. Normally, I'm quite ticklish when I have my feet rubbed and Debbie seemed to notice that..lol So when she massaged my feet, I was impressed with the amount of pressure she applied; she made the foot rub portion quite enjoyable! The massage chair that I sat in had a pretty dope setup, with quite a few settings to choose from. And I was served their complimentary water that they mix with several antioxidant rich citrus fruits! This was an awesome first experience at Elite European Day Spa. If you're into an elitist caucasian atmosphere where you won't even be looked at (let alone attended to) if you don't fit in with all the fair-skinned blondes behind the counter, this is the salon for you! Purchased a "massage" over the phone not knowing what I was getting myself into and man, was the regret pouring in as soon as I walked through the door. Without exaggeration, I had just about every employee look at me upon entering the estaishment and not a single person welcomed me in or cared to address my being there. I waited three minutes before interrupting a conversation behind the counter so I could check in for my massage. Finally was taken to the back only for my masseuse to fumble with the ipod/music half the time and just lather my body in oil for the other half. Every time I thought to myself "okay, you've got that section oiled up well, let's get to the massaging", she'd just move on to the next area and start pouring oil all over. First massage I leave feeling no more relaxed than when I walked in, just insanely oiled up. elite review I hate to give this review because I've been a loyal customer for so long, but two stars reflects their recent quality. I initially started coming here two years ago and had amazing experiences with multiple technicians, Kima and Victoria are my favorite by far. But recently there have been many new hires. I was so excited when the business expanded because it looked absolutely beautiful after the renovations, but the quality has declined as they have been trying to keep up with demand. I asked explicitly for rounded nails, they gave actual 180 degree straight lines across them. I ask for a light blue manicure, there are several areas of uneven application and chips along the edges by the second day. I also refer all my co workers here. One of my coworkers is also an Indian woman, with a name somewhat similar to mine. Everytime she tries to book an appointment, the secretary mistakes her for me and confuses our appointments. She arrived one day for her appointment. the secretary "Aesi" upon realizing her mistake with yet again another confusion, says "Oh but you're all so similar." I de used to give them one last chance. I brought up these concerns to the owner, Kima, who was extremely distracted and chose to greet other customers, speak to her coworkers, and answer the phone while I was trying to speak with her. Disrespectful. I used to be beyond excited for my nail appointments here, but recently have been let down in more ways than one. read more

I came in last week without an appointment for a pedicure and full set gel manicure. I enjoyed the pedicure. I then sat down for my full set manicure but there was a mix up and not enough time for a full set, which was totally fine and i just made a appointment for the next day. Very accommodating. *TIP* if you have a gift certificate be aware that apparently if you don't cancel 24 hrs in advance then the full price of your appointment will be deducted from your gift certificate credit. Or so i was told. Didn't really like that but i digress. The next day i came in for my full set manicure. I got gel polish because it's always lasted so long for me. I'm used to getting acrylic nails but they do gel here. I didn't mind and wanted to try it out anyways. I was not advised that it was going to be HOT when going under the light. Regardless, i was still fine and enjoyed the manicure. When all was said and done i did enjoy my manicure. But a WEEK exactly later. 5/10 of my nails needed to be fixed. 2 chipped and 3 were coming loose. I've never had a bad experience with gel polish before. One of the only reasons I'm giving 3 stars is because how accommodating elite was. I reached out and expressed my disliking and got fit in to get them fixed. Now 2 days later. I have another chip in one of the same nails that JUST got fixed.... not sure what the issue is since I'm not doing anything crazy for it to be able to chip like this. Will probably go in once more for a fix and color change but would much rather go somewhere else. read more

My friend and I called earlier in the week to schedule spa pedicures, the times available were limited because of covid restrictions, but we were able to get appointments. The location was spotless and modern. The left side of the place is where the manicures and pedicures are performed, and to the right, there is a salon. In the back of the building, they have rooms for the massage & waxing services. The staff were very thorough and did not rush our pedicures. One thing I enjoyed was that the staff allowed my friend and I to talk. At some locations, when you are getting your feet done, the staff will be talking to you a lot, which is good when you are alone, but not if you are with another person. The two staff members that were working on me & my friend's feet were talking to each other occasionally also, so I did not feel bad talking to my friend more than making small talk with the staff member. I also got my eyebrows waxed here, and they did a good job. The prices for the gel spa pedicure and eyebrow waxing are comparable to other places in the area & I would not consider being overpriced. I have been going to Elite for a few years now only for the hair salon portion and really like it! The decor is very pretty, the staff is friendly and I have only had positive experiences with my stylists and all those I've interacted with! I find them to be reasonably priced for salon services compared to other salons in the area and also to have extremely experienced and professional stylists! My only slight criticism is that each stylist sets their own schedule and it can be a little more challenging to set your appointment as the hostess usually has to check-in with either your specific stylist or several to see who is available! If you are a regular client of a stylist, you can certainly book directly with them which is far easier but as a new client or someone that wants a specific date, there's just a little more of a wait to nail down your appointment! Overall, I highly recommend this salon and their hair services! The stylists and services are great and you will enjoy the positive experience and environment! read more

For a significant birthday, I told my husband I wanted a body wrap. He was sweet and googled to find this place that lied to him and told him they offered wraps. They sold him $480 for NOT a wrap.After calling to cancel, they said I had to go to the shop. I had to drive to Norfolk for $5 of tolls to cancel.The place smelled of nail polish. I could NOT have been in the building for the 4 hours they sold. They did provide a refund. So sad that my husband tried to give me a nice present and these people lied to him. Recently I had to look for a new lash extension practitioner as mine had relocated, and was originally super excited to find something around the same price and right in my area - but what a terrible mistake. My appointment was literally Friday - barely a total of 4 days ago - and already my lashes are as thin and bare as can be. Certainly not what would interpret as having lash extensions at all. I don't know whether to muddle it down to cheap materials used or cheap service in having them filled, but certainly not worth the waste of a trip to to this place for this service when I'll know I'll have to get them right done again when originally I could have anticipated good service and my own intention of upkeep to keep them lasting two to three weeks. I've been pleased with this salon for almost two years, and have recommended them to a number of people. Sadly, I won't be going back. I have literally been trying to book a manicure/pedicure appointment for over three weeks. Either the phone is not answered at all, or a rude receptionist answers and informs me all the appointments are booked (no matter what day I request!). She never offers other dates/times, just says they are all booked and hangs up. Crazy. I've also left a three messages and have never gotten a return phone call. Not sure what is going on, but it's time for me to move on. The sad thing is my very first service two years ago was with the owner who is delightful!
