The shop keeper was at the register, maybe doing some paperwork. She was occupied and very quiet. Her store was very cute and I spent a lot of time looking at the earrings. I was trying to see if there was something I couldn't live without. I believe they were sterling silver and all around $18 each. There were bars of soap for men and women, earrings, candles... the kitchen towels with the clever sayings had me cracking up. I had to get one! After looking around the shop, I got to say hello and speak with the shop keeper. She was very sweet and pleasant. I liked that I was able to do a mobile payment. It made checking out fast & easy! On the weekends or during Downtown events, parking can be nearly impossible, but there is a small parking lot around the corner. I could easily spend the day out here going inside of every shop and picking at least one place to eat. There is plenty of popular eateries to choose from... that will leave you making the difficult decision of trying to pick where to eat!

Sunday, May 17th, I found myself in downtown Auburn, after visiting old town"s vintage and antique pop-up. I walked into the store and thought-wow great merchandising! I walked around for a bit and thought what a great store. It did not seem that there were any employees there. I walked the length of the store (about 5 minutes) and found that there was a young woman at the counter. This person did not greet me, or acknowledge me in any way. They saw me, and obviously heard the click of my boots on the tile floor, they then looked me and went back to clipping their toenails(?) I asked if this was their store. They said "What?" I repeated my question, and they said "no." and I said "It shows because you did not welcome your customers." And she proceeded to say "You are welcome to leave!" And I did. There were three things I would've purchased, (their prices are pretty good), but not on that day and not with that person behind the cash register. I spoke to another shop owner in town and they mentioned that they were saddened by my interaction because apparently the owner is a very customer friendly person. It's on Lincoln Street in the heart of Downtown. Street parking or a lot up the hill. It's the cutest shop!! Think brick walls, and lots of character and built in shelves.... Treasures both old and new. A great collection of vintage pieces and vintage feeling pieces. I was happy they were in Fall mode instead of already having everything Christmas out. It was beautiful and warm for autumn. They have classes and I hope to take one. There was a selection of paper ephemera for crafting, home decor, fragrances and more. Definitely worth a visit. I fell in love with a beautiful one of a kind ring. The price tag was heavy. Over 25k, my person actually bought it for me. I could not ever express the joy I had. It was worn with so much love and pride that I can't express. Unfortunately we had a terrible brake up and he said I could sell it as I had no place to live and no job at the time. I went back to Golden Swan already heartbroken and asked to sell it back. The owner said all they could do was give me $1000 and the promise I could come back and rebuy it. It felt like a pawn situation and I trusted them since they had sold us such a gem. My partner and I reunited and he went back to get it about 2 months later. We were told it was scrapped and they no longer had it. I can't express the pure horror I faced. It was truly devastating and I will never forget the way I was swindled. I understand there are ways to make money, but this was disappointing and disgusting. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Sierra Moon is amazing and I tell all my clients to shop there.
