9/142018 I am still as thrilled with Dr. Torrey and Linda as I was when I first wrote this review, if not more. They both are two of the most genuine people I've ever met and while the location can be tricky with parking and I've since moved almost 40 minutes away. I STILL will come here for all my eye needs . It's worth the time to support s f be a part of a practice where you know you're more than a number. I was looking for an eye doctor close to my job with great review. This doctor is very personable and you truly feel like he cares about making sure you have the best sight possible and what you want, not what he wants to sell you. He sees patients on time, and it's literally a seamless enjoyable experience which is saying a lot coming from someone like me who has a lazy eye, astigmatism, and horrible vision. I've been seeing Dr. Torrey since well before he moved his practice across the street. He and his staff are always super nice and helpful. Dr. Torrey is awesome at taking the time to answer any question you might have in depth, and he never makes you feel rushed or silly for asking what might be a question he's answered a million times. They carry a frame brand there that they private label as their own and the quality is far better than many brand name frames and the styles are awesome as well. Both he and Linda are fantastic at fitting a new pair of glasses to sit correctly and comfortably on your face, that's huge, many places just can't get it right. He even adjusted my prescription Maui Jims for me even though I didn't get them from him, SERVICE!!!! I always enjoy the Dead or JGB in the background! When I finally found the Bent Lens -- after searching close to 10 other stores for a certain type of frame -- I was so relieved to find just what I had been looking for. Their selection of frames is great, with lots of unique styles. The customer service there is also excellent. Linda is patient and personable. She provides great follow up on all requests. And unlike places where the staff say frame you try on looks great -- she is honest and will tell you if the frame is not the right fit or size. Check them out - you won't be disappointed! read more

Choosing the right ophthalmologist was never a priority for me and I consider myself lucky to have experienced eye care the way The Bent Lens does it. All of my glasses purchases have been accurate and done to order and both Linda and Dr. Todd made the whole experience enjoyable and stress free. The Bent Lens is a diamond downtown A boutique shop with reasonable prices and great service. They don't sell you on complicated prescriptions or things you do not need. I went with chronic 3pm reading issues and a teenie weenie far vision problem but mostly due to stress. I could have gotten complex prescription but I really only needed computer glasses -- and all though they don't have 1000's of frames the frames they do have are top shelf and reasonably priced. Dr. Torrey's on point! This was my first visit to his office, and it was the best eye exam I've had in at least eight years, if not longer. During the exam, Dr. Torrey was clear, efficient, and comprehensive. I liked that he explained everything I needed to know in order for me to make an informed decision about my lenses. Dr. Todd and Linda are fantastic! I have been coming here for years - I work downtown and this office (both their old location and new) are incredibly convenient and the two of them are great. Great experience. Everyone there was super nice. It was my first pair of glasses and Dr. Torrey explained everything in detail about how my eyes were changing and how to fix it. I also asked him for the script to get a couple cheap backup pairs and he was happy to help. The woman at the desk, I wish I remembered her name, was also very friendly. Amazing service! Best vision I've had for a long time with trials of multiple lenses. Great optometrist who really listened to the problems I was having seeing at work and driving in the dark. After finding The Bent Lens 4 years ago, I will never go anywhere else for exams. Dr. Torrey extremely thorough. I like that they let you "test" out the contacts for a week and make sure they are fitting your eyes properly before finalizing the prescription. The best customer service, wonderful products in store and they will find you any frames you want and have them shipped in as well! Repairs are fast and they truly take such care.
