I did a lot of research before booking my first hydrotherapy and settled on Carolyn because of her experience and wonderful reviews. She was very kind on the phone and made me feel at ease. When I arrived for my appointment, I had some questions about the paperwork before signing my life away (I know this is standard, but wanted to clarify some conditions to make sure I was safe). After a few questions she seemed to get annoyed and said "if you have this many questions you probably shouldn't do this" and the energy felt hostile. I was very uncomfortable and feeling rushed, so I said ok? And then she sternly said "you still have to pay me". But she had talked me out of doing it! At this point I obviously couldn't go through with it, she was already annoyed and I was definitely not comfortable putting my health in her hands. She also spouted some covid misinfo along the way, like that you don't need to be vaccinated as long as you wash your hands (this is not true). So I didn't actually go through with the treatment because SHE TALKED ME OUT OF IT, but I still had to pay, which is why I'm writing this review. Adding a star because she gave me some supplements and information to take home. I'm sure Carolyn is very good at what she does, but it felt very unfair to be talked out of doing the treatment and then forced to pay by the same practitioner. I am accustomed to getting regular colonics (1-2x year). After having my last child over 5 years ago, however, I never could find the time or mental energy to go in. I never used Wellness Associates and instead, year after year, went to Body Z Alive. I thought the colon therapists there were awesome. After several years away from colonics, I decided to approach it like brand new. In researching, Carolyn stood out immediately. She was a practicing RN for over a decade and went to school before the pharmaceutical companies infiltrated western medicine. I love that she really studied this field/practice before diving into creating her own business. That says a lot. My experience on the table was great. I was bracing myself to feel that toxin release...jitters, perspiration, hot/cold sensation...but to my surprise I felt none of that. She was, not only gentle, but so skilled that she knew how to read both the machine and her client so I never felt any discomfort. It was incredible. The icing on the cake (and I love icing) was that Carolyn was extremely informative throughout my session. I knew a colonic would be a good idea following two months of constant cold/flu, compromised digestion and other health issues. I used to come fairly regularly but got out of the habit. I am so glad to know of such an experienced, knowledgable, thorough and caring practitioner! I have had many many colonics and Carolyn is the best! I have seen her a few times now. She takes longer than most colon-hydro therapists (90 minutes vs 45 minutes). Allowing for a more relaxed healing detoxifying experience... also healthier for your colon too. You can tell Carolyn loves what she does. She is so calm.
