The banana Nutella crepes were awesome! Great service too! I'd like to go back and try the Mediterranean choices on another weekend.

We ended up sharing a salad, which was delicious. It was had the perfect amount of dressing on it. We ended up splitting the bacon appetizer. The bacon was delicious the little biscuits that came with it were not my favorite. We ended up splitting the flounder which was absolutely positively stuffed with crab meat. It was so delicious. It was a smaller size portion, but we did split it and it was perfect enough because it was so buttery and delicious. We ended up getting a dessert because we were celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary and we ended up splitting the fried apple pie, which I could've licked the plate. It was so delicious. It was a lovely evening. We sat out on the patio. Great food great service. It was really a special night. Everyone said happy anniversary is to us which made it extra special. Kind of wish they would've given me a glass of champagne or a free dessert for our anniversary but maybe next time. Cheers. $$$$

Then, Victoria (primarily) did a fine job keeping up with our large group. It had gotten dark so didn't get full advantage of the nice view but the rustic feel inside was appropriate. I started with the tomato soup which had an interesting dollop of crab meat in the middle to jazz it up. Some got the bacon instead as first course & it was good (sans the jalapeño for me). My main course choice was the broiled snapper with mashed sweet potatoes & beans. Very tasty (though the sides might have been warmer). To close, a very nice pecan pie tartlet, I'll call it with ample whipped cream - right up my alley!

When we arrived to our room the first thing I noticed was the view! We were on the ground level, so we had a nice sitting area just outside the room. Although it was too cold to sit outside, the view from inside was just as nice. Once I started looking around at the room I noticed how outdated and in need of deep cleaning it was. The carpet was stained, our bedding was stained, the wallpaper was peeling off, dirt and grime had gathered in the corners, and there was toothpaste or cleaning spray all over the bathroom mirror and sink. My side of the bed was caving in, so when I laid on my left side I rolled a bit, which makes me think maybe the mattresses need to be replaced. I will say, the pillows were comfy! That evening we ate at the restaurant where we ordered off the menu. I ordered The Falls Burger, which is your basic cheeseburger with the usual toppings - lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and your choice of cheese. The burger tasted like it was previously frozen, but the fries were delicious! Our waitress, McKenzie, was incredible! She was attentive and friendly and deserves recognition! We ended up back at the lodge restaurant the following evening where they were serving a buffet dinner only, no option to order off the menu. McKenzie was great once again, but unfortunately, the food was not. The buffet consisted of soup, salad, mac-n-cheese, rolls, yellow rice, black eyed peas, BBQ chicken, catfish, carrot cake, pumpkin pie, and apple pie. All of the items I ate were cold and just mediocre. You can imagine my surprise when I saw the $46 bill - $27.99 for an adult and $15.99 for a child. Absurd for the lack of options and for the cold food. (Keep in mind that the closest towns with good dining options are at least 30 mins away.) During nice weather the falls are gorgeous to hike up to and the park is fun to explore, but take note if you have children with you and the weather isn't great, there's not much for them to do. The park itself is beautiful and well worth a trip! And I truly believe the lodge could be brought back to life with a few changes.

One time my parents and I came here after dinner for their gelato, and it was so delicious. We were all very impressed with the consistency and how smooth it was. So I've only had their gelato after all these years. This time I came for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning. It was packed and we got on the waiting list for a table. Wait time wasn't too bad actually. My friend and I both ordered the Hodgepodge Hash and I subbed the sausage for chicken sausage. Everything was absolutely amazing. I wish I had come here sooner. I loved everything about my meal. It was flavorful, dynamic, full of texture. It had that spice from the serrano peppers, crispy and flavorful potatoes, and the sauce tied it all together. I love savory breakfast, and that was it. Now I'm hungry and missing my previous meal just writing about it haha. Afterwards, we got gelato! I was pleasantly surprised that the gelato came with two scoops because I originally just wanted the coffee flavored one. So I had a scoop of Coffee + Cream and Pistachio. Our gelato was so tasty. I love anything coffee so this one was good, and the Pistachio one was nice and light. It had a subtle Pistachio creamy taste. Just as before, the gelato was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and super helpful with our food preferences. I have no complaints at all about our experience, and I love every single thing we ordered. I can't imagine a better place to spend Sunday brunch. I look forward to the next time I'm back, thank you!

Please take this review with a grain of salt. Today was probably not an exemplary day for Milk &…read moreHoney. Mother's Days are challenging, but I think where they hurt themselves the most is that they do not have a method to take reservations or even call ahead seating. Wait times were often in excess of an hour listening to other people waiting to be seated. That's a horrible experience on its face, and the management of this restaurant needs to do much much better or just close on Mother's Day. Next, we'll get to the food. I doubt it was a shining example of what they are capable of. I got the Shakshuka and it was mediocre. I'm not expecting it to be as good as what I would get in Tel Aviv, and I've had the real thing in Tel Aviv. But to be honest, the eggs came out nearly hard-boiled not poached. And the eggs are one of the stars of the show for this dish. If you don't get them right, the entire dish fails. Next will touch on the chicken and waffles. The observation from my tablemate was that it was dry and he didn't even eat it all. The same thing can be said for my other tablemate who had the chicken biscuit. The biscuit was exemplary, but the chicken was dry and actually overcooked. Then there were the omelettes, I don't believe they were impressive in any way and the people that ordered them agree. For those of us at the table that ordered coffee, it was rather strong. I normally like strong coffee, but this was borderline Turkish coffee, and there wasn't enough cream available to mask the potency. The service was also stretched thin. Our server, Destiny, did her best, but she was waiting too many tables. Having once been a waitermyself I have a special affinity for Service staff who are asked to do too much. We left her a good tip, but I'm sure she is capable of much better service than what she was allowed to deliver. Finally, the overwhelming crowd made the restaurant feel claustrophobic. The noise level was far too high, and we could barely hear one another at our table and we were sitting very close to one another. I don't place the blame on the kitchen, staff, or the wait staff, or even the greeters. This was a fail of management, plain and simple. They made no contingency plans for that many people and should have anticipated a larger crowd on Mother's Day. Management -I challenge you to do better!!! We will come back during a normal Service day to see if you can perform better, but I encourage you, as owners and managers, to stop setting your staff up for failure, which is what you did!

I was a little hesitant since we were in a new town and everything was packed, but this place totally delivered. The omelet was fluffy and packed with flavor, and the French toast... well, I wasn't expecting it to be deep fried but holy cow it worked. Crispy on the outside, soft and sweet inside, and absolutely addictive. The service was quick and friendly even with the festival crowds, and the vibe inside is fun and casual exactly what you want for breakfast. Portions are generous too, so we left stuffed and happy. It was a random weekday morning, so it was really quiet. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. It's a casual place, with lots of tv's. I had a hard time choosing between the Yard Work Skillet and the Cornbread Omelet, but I figured where else would I find a cornbread omelet? It was SO yummy. I got the bacon on the side because I don't eat it, but there was a lovely amount of veggies and just the right amount of cheese. The cornbread eggs had such an interesting flavor. I got the cheese grits on the side which were a little spicy and deliciously creamy. My gf got a breakfast plate and thought it was good. The crispy hash cake was ok but a little dense. I ended up eating her biscuit the next day and it was really good.

This used to be called the Ellijay CoffeeHouse House, but is now Mountain Town Coffee at Hemlock Bazaar (hopefully Yelp will accept my edits), and it has a great vibe. There's a back entrance and courtyard which we came through. The decoration is wacky- I don't know how else to describe it. It's old school and nostalgic but strange. On the other side of the wall there's an entire book store that is part of the business. It had one of the most impressive collections I've seen in a bookstore in awhile. It wasn't huge but it had a great variety of genres, and a lot of intriguing titles I hadn't heard of but sought to remember for later. The man working the register was a charm- he told us how Ellijay has their own tv production (which they were playing on an old school tv), a special Bigfoot podcast and more. Lastly, the coffee was, of course, delightful. I had a latte with a little bit of spice in it that was perfect to warm a person up in the cool early spring air when we were there. Had we known this would be such a cool stop I think we would have bargained even more time to just hang and enjoy the atmosphere. I think it could be a good place to sit and do work or read and there's lots of spaces to sit so it's not too loud.
