Service was so slow I didn't know if they even know we were there. They seemed to busy talking with friends to come see us. 15 minutes to take a drink order. 5 minutes before we got our drinks. Took our order when she brough us our drink and then the real wait started. 45 minutes before we got our food. No drink refills, We just sat there. Now I will wait for good food. But this was not good food. It was luke warm at best. The slaw tasted like grass... For real man, it tasted like lawn clippings. The hush puppies were grainy and had no flavor. I was so excited to find this off the beaten path country restaurant. I thought it was a meat and three kind of place but instead it was just breakfast and different kinds of burgers and sandwiches. I tried the hamburger steak with peppers and onions, they were definitely skimpy on peppers and onions. My husband said his double cheeseburger was just alright. We only got a handful of fries. My son's biscuit and gravy was barely warm. The biscuits did look homemade. The service was good but I think there's lots of other local places to try before stopping at this one. read more

Had Fried Catfish and 3 sides along with my wife also getting the catfish and it was delicious!!! By far the best fried catfish anywhere around it is not fried ahead of time. It's fried when you order it!! The mixed beans were cooked with chunks of ham and not out of a can. Pintos and white beans were awesome and made from scratch hush puppies to go with it and my other vegetable was their homemade cucumber, tomato and onion salad in some type of dressing that made it delicious. I drive past frequently early in the morning. Their sign always says Open, but it's not. One day I came by later in the morning and they actually were open. I had a standard breakfast of bacon and eggs. The food was fine, but the waitress didn't appear to enthused about having to take my order. I can't see myself going out of my way to go back. I've given this place 3 chances and they've failed so now I must give an honest review. Inside is very small and tables are crowded together. Food is just average. The fried green tomatoes were sliced paper thin and were soggy. The fried okra is obviously the pre-breaded and frozen kind. The steamed broccoli was inedible. White beans and cornbread were decent but should have come with sliced onion. Good sweet tea though. Breakfast is better but not by much. The closest alternatives are an equally awful burger den or nasty mcdonalds. This is really just a place for locals so expect to be stared down if you're not one of them. I have put off writing a review a few times now trying to give this place a chance over and over since it's the only country cooking restaurant in the area. However this last time was so bad I can't anymore!! The chicken fingers have been the only thing good I can recommend and that's debatable from time to time. The country gravy is as thin as water and the mash potatoes were horrible and that's bad coming from me, because I love all types of potatoes, but this just was unacceptable, not to mention if u go close to closing instead of them informing you they are running low or out of something they will water it down or make ur portions so small it doesn't fill up a super small container and lord forbid if you let them know they messed up your order or the food wasn't appealing because the owner is rude as the day is long, a real capital "B"... Stopped in for breakfast the price was more than fair and the three eggs and sausage were very delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and it is a very clean environment including the restroom. I found a new place for breakfast and will be going back to try lunch or dinner. read more

Not impressed at ALL. The food was terrible. They overcharged us. I went back and they still didn't refund all of the money we were owed. 2 kids and one adult and it was 37 dollars for breakfast!!! That's crazy! Don't waste your time or money on this place. All of the workers are rude too. read more
