I am very satisfied with the best guys. I went there to tint my nissan altima coupe a year ago and did my back window and two smaller windows and the tint has been amazing. No bubbles etc. and they have a lifetime warranty. There were tiny bubbles after getting it done but those dry up when the water solution evaporates, it's part of the process. So now I'm back to do my front windows and I decided to go with the legal tint limit and it turned out way too light for what I was hoping for, so thy re did it for me right on the spot. Peeled it right off and will do it over again darker ASAP with no complaints. So I definitely recommend this place. Great solid quality tint with great service too. And cheap!! read more

Horrible place to go to.. I went there to have door speakers installed in my commuter '99 civic and then deeply scuffed the doors in addition to gauging the dash from them prying on it trying to pull the stock stereo out. If they can't even perform a professional installation on a Honda Civic then I definitely wouldnt trust the 'Bad Guys' working on my Benz and Bmw. Bad service and installation. read more

I was in a bind and needed to get my radio in my vehicle fixed or replaced before an upcoming trip. I called car stereo repair shops I found online in and around Walnut Creek. When I called Best Guys, they were very open to looking at my issue right away. I was greeting by KJ, who took a look at the system. He showed me what was wrong, and determined the radio needed to be replaced as it was having issues turning off, and then on and the Bluetooth never worked correctly. There was no "please pay $80 first and then we'll take a look at the issue and make a decision". We walked back into the shop, I made a choice of a replacement radio. It took a couple of hours. I went next door to lunch. When I came back the vehicle was completed. I had them install two extra USB ports for charging my wife's iPod or phone at a very responsible cost. I was extremely happy with this family operated business, very polite personnel, reasonable pricing, quick service. Doug the owner spent an inordinate amount of time with my extended warranty company on the phone so I was able to get reimbursed for this purchase. There were no extra or hidden costs like I've experienced in the past at other stereo shops. I'm going back to Best Guys to get my sports car windows tinted next. read more

Very fast service. I got lucky and a spot opened up because of a cancelation, so I was able to get my car windows tinted the same day I called. The tinting took less than 2 hours and they even gave my car's exterior a much needed clean! I came here two years ago to get some serious bass in my car. Tim was super helpful and helped me pick out exactly what I was looking for which ended up being a 10 in. speaker and an amplifier. It sounded great...until I blew out my speaker lol. I brought it in and again everyone was super nice and they told me that I actually had a warranty (which I didn't know) and replaced it and all i had to pay was labor. I had recently bought a subwoofer online, but i needed a custom box built with all the right specs, not just any universal box. I didint want to go to gm electronics because they dont know sh** but i went to best guys and talked to them, gave them the size dimensions on a thursday afternoon and the box was ready the next day in the afternoon. they did a good job too, the box makes my sub hit really hard. the other day I had 2 cars go into the best guys' shop, the first was my 1996 bmw and the second was my mom 2003 mercedes, in my moms car she wanted a new deck with navigation but the deck that she wanted just sold out earlier that day, so the guy did some extra searching and found one that was being shipped to a local shop, and got it for a good price. When it came to my car, it was simple strictly just an amplifier install, nothing to fancy, but both cars were done pretty quickly(my moms taking a little longer due to the more work needed) but overall a very good experience, i will defiantly come back here again read more

This place is a diamond in the rough. They do great work here. I had window tinting put on 3 of my cars and have had no problems. They also do car stereo stuff, but I have never used them for that. I would recommend The Best Guys to anyone looking for very good quality window tinting. read more

Really clean alarm install. I do not trust big box stores to install alarms or stereos in my truck. These guys are professionals. Price was fair for a good DEI brand alarm and Bryan who works there is very honest. I have worked with him on a few other cars I owned over the last 14 yrs and he has never done me wrong. Overpriced. It's all you need to know. $80 an hr to do tailight tint, and i had to provide my own materials?! He tried to tell me it would take two hours as well, I went elsewhere got the job done for $80 with materials. This place is a joke. Trust me you can get quality elsewhere for much less. read more

Disclaimer : I did not have work done here. Review was only based on a phone call. I called around for pricing on tinting my 2013 Honda. The guy asked the year and model, and said I would have to pay extra because " you bought it from Concord Honda, they put thermal films on every car... we have to clean it all up before putting on a new one". I was shock, " No, my car looks clear and with no film". " No, you bought it from Concord Honda, they put them on every car, you just can't see it." I was completely puzzled. So I called Concord Honda. They looked up my record, talked to the Service Manager, and Sales Manager. They sounded upset, " Who in the community is spreading rumors about our dealership? #1 your car does not come with manufacturer installed thermal film, #2 you did not order to have them put on, #3 as a dealership, we cannot and will not modify any car in anyway without the customer's approval. Maybe someone just want to milk more money from you? I would say, run!" Ran I did. read more

I had them tint my 9 year old Honda. They didn't damage the vehicle in any way, but there are two rather large bubbles near the 3rd brake light. Also, the matrix dots aren't done very well -some are visible, some aren't. If I had a new car and the time, I would have asked them to do the rear window again. Initially i came in on a whim and they typically do appointments for full tint services but they did what they could and made it work to fit me in that day. The price was reasonable so i let them do the work. Everything looked great! And after doing some extensive research on their chosen product for doing basic film, llumar, i learned that product is actually a very high end film. No cheap flea market stuff in that shop which is more important than some may think. The only issue i had were the front windows had a wider gap than i was comfortable with. Not that it was ugly or anything but I'm very picky and wanted the glass to look like factory privacy glass. Which the rears did. So i called them up and set up an appointment to redo them and they made it right. No questions asked. Can't expect any more than that from any company. Would definitely recommend this shop for your tinting needs. read more

After talking to this company on the phone, I thought they were a good place to get my windows tinted. They ended up being more expensive then the other place I planned on going to, but I gave them a try. After arriving on time for the appointment that I had set, I was passed up by a person who just showed up, making me sit and wait an extra 30 minutes. They were quick, but with efficiency lacks quality. They do not clean up after they are done so now I have to pay a lot of money to get my vehicle polished to get the soap/water marks out of my paint finish. If I would have known it would turn out this way, I would have stuck with my original guy. Will not be returning to this company. read more

My experience with the Best Guys was not a good one. I felt like they had bad communication between the older gentlemen and the guys who work in the back of the shop. Things that he said would be done, weren't done. For example, I had a speaker and it had a slit in the seal so it needed some sealant. He said they would do it free of charge, so I was happy. I get back and the words never got back to the guy who installed my speakers. When I got it back one of the speakers didn't work. I have white marks around my speaker grill where it looked like the guy used a screwdriver to jam it in. When I came back into the store to say something, the man brought me back to the guy who installed it. The guy was getting all defensive and hostile. That was not a lot of fun. To top it off, I called them a couple times asking if my car had been done. He said he would call me when they were back from there lunch break. He never called so I ended up calling again. Poor communication, ok pricing for speaker installation, bad work. read more

I came here looking to get a gift certificate for my boyfriend this past christmas so he could get his rear camaro window tinted. Dave (the owner) was so nice to me! They had to reschedule my appointment a couple times because of the guy who does the window tinting being stuck in a snow storm in Tahoe but I was not worried. I didnt even complain and Doug did my boyfriends two front windows for free!!!! So now all three of my boyfriends windows are tinted, look great and all for $100!!!!! Okay....how rare is it to be excited about visiting a place that has to fix or install something in your car? In my experience it is uber rare. So my son gets a 1974 F250 as his first car (serious project truck) that he saved up for for years. He has been working on fixing it up and it has a number of little issues as you could imagine. He gets some money for Christmas and buys a stereo and set of speakers. Then of course he finds out that he really cant install them himself. He goes down to the Best Guys audio on a recommendation from Yelpers and 4 hours later picks his truck up with not only his stereo installed but all of the electrical issues (which are many) fixed as well. 24 hours later he also figures out that they fixed his heater too. I have never seen him so excited and impressed by a business that went out of there way to really help him out in taking another step in completing all of the little things you have to fix when you buy a project vehicle like his. These guys are amazing....you will not be sorry if you have them do the work you need done on your car or truck. Above and beyond normal customer service.....great job! read more

I then brought my Solera convertible to have a failed switch replaced behind the rear passenger panel that controls the radio volume. Got the window tint done about a year ago. I had just bought a pre-owned 2013 IPL G37. I googled and found "the best guys" but unfortunately did not turn out that way. I got 5% on the back and 30% on the front. The back came out nice but the front had bubbles and was told they would go away...wrong never went away and to top it off I did not notice this but the left front drivers window film was lifting up at the bottom right corner. Needless to say it was not what I paid for. The reason I found out was because every time I rolled the window down you would hear a crunch of the film. I felt like they didn't do so good in the front because the gentlemen "Doug" kept telling me "will do it" but..you can get a tick it and it will be pretty dark. Doug thats my problem, but your quality of work should have been the same on the front as it was on the back. I never complained about the film being crunched after I left because honestly I did not want them to touch my car anymore. Regardless I recently traded in the vehicle for an JGC SRT so the new owner can deal with that. I now need new tint for my rig and as well as my co-worker who just bought a 2018 WRX SUBARU. Will not be going here. Will drive the 40 mins for better service. Hit or miss is this place. read more

Love the Best Guys! Rather than hard selling me, they suggested the least expensive solution to my pushed -to -the -limit aftermarket speakers due to cabin noise - Dynamat the doors. They suggested doing the doors first, then if I felt it was needed, matting the floors as well. Took a drive, turned back and had the floors done. Final bill was $50 less than what they quoted me since it took less time than they expected. THATS HONESTY! Other businesses in SF quoted me 3x as much or tried to sell me a $400 amp instead. Instead for $250 I have great sound and a quieter cabin. Their window tinting is excellent too. Worth the drive if you're in SF like me...just when I was beginning to lose faith in the customer service of independent shops, these Guys are truly the BEST! read more

Had to pull a few strings as far as my rides go but it worked out. Dropped it off in the morning and got the call in the afternoon. Let me tell you something... I am not one who writes reviews but I had my car in there about 8 years ago and the product that was put in my car after a few years started bubbling up. I kept putting it off because I thought I would have to pay for having it removed and reinstalled and I just didn't have the money or the time. I finally went down there to talk to them because I found the warranty card in my glove box and they gave me an appointment for the very next morning which was awesome because they were two weeks out when my husband had called to inquire. It was at no cost to me, because of the warranty. They spent an entire day trying to get it off because it was glued on pretty well. They did not give up, they did not stop and tell me to bring it back, they did not keep it in there the rest of the weekend and go back to it on Monday...they stayed on it until the job was done, and they called me as soon as they were done. I could not be happier with the work that they did..they were awesome and I will recommend them to anyone who asks me. They were very sweet guys...the best guys...I kid you not!!! read more
