New to the area so i stopped by a salon near me with a lot of good reviews. I'm a very simple girl and i prefer walk-ins so i was happy this spot was able to accommodate me so quickly. I got hard gel on my nails and regular on my toes. The staff were super friendly from the get go. The owner, Savannah, is so attentive and I was in & out within an hour as her son worked on my feet simultaneously. It was priced reasonably (comparable to my previous nail spot in Miami) so i was very satisfied. So far, it's been over a week and there's been no chipping at all. If you love the color purple, you'll love the salon! From the pillows to the signs and chairs, everything is purple--lovely detail! Why I'm giving her 10 stars is becasue my nails lasted 6 weeks! 6! No joke. They would have lasted longer, but they were growing out so much. It looked a little tacky. Mi is amazing! This place is a MUST go!! She was able to fit me in early in the morning of my birthday. I had been so busy with school and work that I hadn't had the time to make an appointment to get my nails done. She's the bomb She's a perfectionist. She shaped my nails perfect to what I asked/wanted, they were done clean and even at the edges. The place is beautiful and clean, super modern and such an amazing atmosphere. LOVE LOVE LOVE! Since my move to South Florida I've had a hard time finding someone that understand my NYC standards on nails. Well, I'm proud to say I have FINALLY found someone. Bo slay my nails. His skill set is definitely on point and I'm not stalking about just his ability to do designs. But his technique is on point. Theo (I think that's his name) blessed my feet! He did not rush the pedicure. Oh and his foot massage is freaking amazing. The overall experience here was really good. The space is small but clean. Don't come anywhere near this salon. Please. I am writing this review to prevent you from going through the terrible experience that I just went through. I waisted two hours of my day sitting here for the most terrible work ever done to my nails, the girl who did my nails was constantly distracted and when I asked her to fix it she was extremely rude and impatient. After needing to constantly pay her attention I got so discouraged and frustrated, she said "I will just take it all off" I couldn't belive it, she didn't even try to make it right. What a disgusting place that waisted 2 hours of my life. The photos are how she sent me out- I AM NOT super picky I just expect clean work for my $70-$100 that I work hard for. Walked in with my friend for pedicures and even though it was close to closing time and they were pretty busy, they took us in and did an amazing job! Pandora's Nail Salon has been the only place that has actually known how to correctly remove my ingrown, I feel SO much better now. Unfortunately I stumbled into this "spa" on yelp and from the reviews it seemed like the best in the area. THINK AGAIN. The spa is a nail salon let's be honest here. There was 4 staff. A make nail tech and 3 women, one focused on pedicures , one for soaking (or so I thought) and one woman doing nails. I soaked my nails and sat in the pedicure chair. The pedicure was awesome actually. The lady(older lady) did a great job and was kind. The color options were good too. Then I sat for my nails. I was NERVOUS already Bc it's always hard to find a good nail person but this was the worst news- the young 18 year old girl who soaked my nails was about to actually do my nails. I asked her about herself a bit to gauge how long she's had done nails... she said she's 18 and had go to school for nails but I didn't see any license at all. I was already like Oh god no. So then we picked a color and she seemed to not know how to use the drill and then on top of it all she had long fake nails too so they got in the way a lot during my service which made it worse! Then as we added the dip it go very thick and she was going to drill the layer a bit and didn't do it enough and I spoke up and said it felt uneven and the other nail tech came over to help her and basically drilled all my nails but they still felt thick. Thennnnn they put GEL COLOR on top which made it even more thick. I had asked for a design which they all said they couldn't do.... if you look at the page you see all these elaborate nails and now they can't even do lines - all I wanted was lines.... so simple. I can't complain about the $20 pedicure but the nails I am SUOER UNHAPPY! I will now have to get them redone for my job. Everyone asked me if a 8 year old did them lol so unless you get the guy nail tech it seems you are screened at this spot... thankfully I live in Boca area which is way better nail salons. Ugh. This place is under new management and the new owner /manager guy doesn't look like he could give less of a damn. My appointment was for 7pm I didn't get out of there until after 9pm. Prices went up for no reason and my nails weren't even done well. The nail tech was fighting with a customer when I came the police were There. It's embarrassing . Not going back. I just want to start by saying that the woman who did my nails, Mily, did a fantastic job and that I wish she was my nail tech in Chicago. She does not deserve to be in a place that disrespects their customers and employees. Had it not been for her kindness and professionalism, my experience would've been a tragedy. I went in for a basic polish change. Mily originally told me that the price was $25 dollars. We both agree verbally multiple times during the service. Suddenly, a woman who I am assuming is the owner and a male nail tech walk in. I was watching a movie while I was getting my nails done--but that was interrupted when "the owner" started playing loud music, competing with the show I was watching. When Mily asked them to turn the volume down, the owner laughed at her, ignored her polite request, and proceeded to set up her station. When services were complete, I handed her $30, $25 for service and $5 for tip--like I said she did a fantastic job. But as I was preparing to leave, the owner shouts at me, demanding I pay more money because apparently Mily told me the wrong price. The owner says "It's actually $35, she is wrong." On top of being disrespectful to me and the tech who was the only one in the shop when it was supposed to be open, the owner practiced bait and switch tactics after me and Mily both agreed to a price. It is not a customers fault if an employee isn't familiar with the pricing structure. It is the owners responsibility to ensure all staff are trained and aware of pricing changes and structure. And it was only when I threaten to file a complaint with BBB that my concerns were recognized. Although I managed to get my money back, my peaceful tone was met with raised voices and slander from the owners of this establishment--to a point where I wondered if my ethnicity was a problem for them. I also want to make it known that the owners of the establishment didn't give me my money back. They made the nail tech give me my money back--money that she earned, rightfully so. If you like to be disrespected while paying $40 for a polish change, then be my guest. Otherwise, I'd recommend choosing another salon for your nails. read more
