It's situated on the northeast corner of Warden Avenue and Highway 7, across the street from Markham Civic Centre. My first visit here was in grade 12. I wanted to go to my first major concert. Madonna was doing a couple of shows at SkyDome. I'm dating myself and I don't care. I needed a wristband to get my place in line, well before doing anything online was a thing. My best bet was getting one at a music store at Markham Town Square. My dad drove us up here. We lived in the Beaches. My mom wrote a letter to show my teachers that I needed to be excused from their classes. Thank goodness I was a good kid and student to swing this arrangement! In short, I got my tickets. I paid for them, even though my dad insisted on paying. I was elated. I made it back to school in time for my French class. I couldn't stop smiling. Markham Town Square will always have a special place in my heart. Little did I know that I'd become a Markhamite and visit this place regularly years later. This music store is long gone. There used to be a Chinese restaurant between the No Frills, and Town Gift & Postal Service. It has changed names over the years. It's the only store that is vacant these days. No Frills is your grocery store. I never have any problems finding what I need here. The selection is decent and I've never been disappointed shopping here. Town Gift & Postal Service is a non-descript store that you wouldn't expect to be a post office. People often hit Shoppers Drug Mart and are disappointed to learn that it doesn't have a post office. Town Gift & Postal Service is your post office. The folks who run this store are nice. It does get busy thanks to the post office part of this business. There used to be a Mr. Sub. It's gone. I was sad. I'm happy to see that a Korean eatery is about to take its place. I probably frequent these businesses the most: - Shoppers Drug Mart - Felix & Norton Cookies - McDonald's This Shoppers is convenient to get to. If I need to grab something quickly, I can here. There's lots of parking that it's rarely an issue. Felix & Norton Cookies are amazing. I love their gourmet cookies, perhaps more than I should. It's the butter that makes them so decadent. It has Pusheen products, which is a bonus. I like this McDonald's. Staff are friendly and I have yet to have anyone mess up my order. I tend to hit the drive-thru. This plaza has another drive-thru, which makes it stand out. You rarely see a couple of drive-thrus in close proximity, but you do here. The other is Scotiabank. The lane is tighter than McD's, but it works. For the longest time, the store where Canada Computers & Electronics is was vacant. It used to be a Future Shop. When it shuttered for good, it was empty for years, with a brief stint as a returning office for one of the elections. I love Canada Computers. It brings out the geeky side of me. There is a lot to look at and prices are pretty good. Next to Canada Computers is Honeymoon Dessert. It was previously a Menchie's. It's a nice addition to get your dessert fix, including really good fruit teas. I have frequented Cora's, Teriyaki Experience, and Pizza Pizza over the years. All have been at this plaza for years. I still haven't visited all businesses. Wonton Hut comes to mind. One of these days, I'll cave and place an order. This plaza has everything I need. Food. Burgers. Cookies. Computer accessories. Very well staffed to constantly re-organize/ clean up from the mass of shoppers. It's so crazy busy after work and on the weekends, as expected at most Costcos. If you can go during the weekday, do it. It's worth the slight bit more of peace. Oddly enough, their pharmacy is always slow. It's just so busy, but given it's an affordable option for many people without health benefits, it makes sense. Staff are great here, and everything is easy to find - exactly where expected. If the weather isn't so bad, just park a bit further out. And for the love of all things costco, please be a good human being and put your cart away!

My second time coming to this mall for the Halloween event they have for kids. They have a fun…read morescavenger hunt which you can do and be entered for a draw to win prizes as well as trick or treating from certain stores. My kids always have an amazing time. The mall is usually quiet. There's a lot of empty stores, I guess a lot of them had shut down since there's not much traffic similar to Pacific Mall. The one thing I don't like is for some reason there's absolutely no signal or data connection when you're inside the mall. It's so inconvenient if you're trying to make a call or use data and you can't.

You have to go to the center of the space where you'll find the doors which lead you to the escalators which will take you to where you want to go upstairs. Note that we didn't see any signage directing us to the center. Once upstairs, it's really nothing impressive. Only if you want to try a few eateries within the food court. One was recommended by a popular YouTuber. There's also the one or two restaurants and the supermarket. Otherwise, IMO it's not really worth our drive to Woodbine, north of 16th Ave.

Little items are not to be found though so got to go to another Best Shop. Prices aren't cheap but the convenience factor is there. There seems to be a lot of elements on sale. Staff were friendly and helpful but I didn't need anything that day. Store was well arranged and clean. They even sell batteries! There is an entrance inside the mall and outside the mall. Parking is a little bit hard to find so park further and walk over.

I don't frequent it as much as I should. I first came here with a friend roughly two decades ago to eat at All Star Wings. It's still alive and kicking. I will always have a soft spot for this eatery and ordering way too many wing flavours. We often boxed everything we couldn't finish up. There have been many Hong Kong-style eateries next to this wing place that have come and gone over the years. Sadly, one of these eateries had silver needle noodles that you don't see often on the menu. They were so good! I don't frequent the T&T Supermarket these days. It was a madhouse the few times that I did. It's the perfect storm of crazy shoppers who can't park for beans. The supermarket itself is decent. I live closer to the two T&T stores on Warden and Kennedy. This one is the third-closest one to my home. There is a Wellwise Home Health & Wellness store. It used to be under the Shoppers Drug Mart brand, but it got acquired by Verillium Health Care. It has served my family well over the years. I have got everything from washable bed pads to a wrist brace. Staff are helpful, especially when I didn't know much about these products! I like the Chatime-Bakecode store. I get my bubble tea and croissant fixes all under one roof. It's probably my favourite store at this plaza. I just noticed a Mr Sub. I will need to check it out someday. Same goes with the original Hana Don. I have been to the one at CF Fairview Mall. I need to drop by this one. Yesterday, I visited SportChek for the first time. I liked the merchandise. Customer service was excellent. There's a Tim Hortons here, too. It's got a drive-thru. It's another reason why this plaza gets busy. I like Cachet Centre, minus the craziness in front of T&T. This was another outing with my cousins, exposing them to more of what our great city has to offer…read more We ended up at the food court in First Markham Place, one of the best around. We each ordered from a different place and shared it all. First up, was BBQ Duck and Roast Pork over rice, from HKS BBQ. This included vegetables and soup. Delicious! Lunch Box provided a combo meal that included lamb, pork, noodles, rice, and soup. The portions were huge, and it all tasted great! We got a vegetarian Pad Thai from Wiangkuk Thai Food that was also very good. One of my cousins picked up a Teriyaki Chicken that was a huge portion, and also included soup. I'm not sure which vendor provided that but it was good. We also got Scallion Pancakes that were really good. Bubble Teas completed our meal! It's hard to beat the food at this place. It was a good day of eating. We all enjoyed all the food and ended up taking home leftovers. After a very filling lunch, we explored the shops. I've seen some of the exact same plates at other stores for maybe 30% higher price Cups and plates are my personal go to, but they have everything from soys sauce dishes to modern coffee mugs to matcha ceremony bowls. Styles are far ranging and include cute and elegant, modern and traditional styles, and they carry lots of different sizes so you are likely to find something to suit your taste. I personally only buy dishwasher safe / microwaveable ceramics (so I actually use them) and a lot of the stock they have fits that criteria. The rest of the store is a whole labyrinth of home goods like beauty, kitchen tools, home organization, snacks, and craft goods. Again some rare finds exist, so it is well worth a look. I personally bought calligraphy stuff that was cheaper and more convenient here than buying it online, and they had related supplies like writing pads, practice paper, etc. The Japanese trinket/souvenir section stands out to me because you can get things that are rare to chance upon elsewhere. The ceramic darumas are well priced, and I've bought other cute traditional figurines there. Overall there's a lot to see in this store, to the point where it feels overwhelming to browse all sections. I keep my visits targeted and short so I don't wear myself out looking at 200 pairs of similar looking chopsticks. Also, sometimes the prices in this store are questionable, but I browse knowing overall it's fair (case in point for weird pricing - tiny plate $2, significantly larger medium size plate for $2.25). I don't live close by so I come around whenever I'm in the area.
