If you are looking to do some Xmas shopping this holiday season then definitely come here. The food offerings here are excellent as well. They got a huge food court with lots of delicous food offerings across the globe. You want more of a dine in experience? Visit Moxies, Jack Astors, Scaddabush, Milestones, Hibachi, etc. The washrooms here need more TLC. The cleaning staff need to clean more frequently to make it a more pleasant shopping experience.

A con for this mall is the transit is now outside the mall on one of the side roads. When the LRT used to be open there was a bus bay there the buses used to stop. So for transit users this mall isn't as convenient as it used to be. This mall is best for those who have a car.

Here's the question that I have been facing at work. We have a document with New in its title. Is it really new when this document has existed for a few years? I feel the same way about New Century Plaza. When you visit it, it's like the century look and feel dominate more than new. It is an older plaza. What I noticed is that there are a lot of stores selling Chinese herbs and medicine. I'd imagine that 80% of the stores that I had passed by were herbal ones. Besides the restaurant, across from it was a bookstore. It was a nice change. Before we left, we can across a chicken stand. The chicken looked weird and shredded. I made a comment about it, which made my friends laugh hard. It looked like mystery meat to me. Parking was a bit crazy on a Thursday at around 1 pm. I did manage to find a parking spot. It was much better when we left at 3 pm. I don't drop by this place often, but it's worth it for New Century Restaurant, which has fabulous dim sum. New Century Plaza is an older, dated mall that has been around since the 1980's.  The most vibrant…read moretenant here is the New Century restaurant in which we had a delightful dim sum.  The restaurant itself was vibrant but afterwards we putzed around in the smallish indoor mall here and it was pretty dead on a weekday morning.  The tenants and shoppers are naturally part of the older generation and there are numerous shops for items like ginseng and other dry goods. There was also one big florist and a bookstore.  The demographics makes sense as the youngsters have moved on to the shiny newer malls.   Something makes me think this place can still get busy on the weekends though because there are still a lot of Chinese up here that use these products and everything else for that matter!

It was my first time going there and I couldn't help seeing some architectural similarities to Hay's Galleria in the UK. Maybe it was the open spaces, the indoor-outdoor feel of the place, architectural features. Look it up... After exploring for a bit, we had lunch in the food court. With lots of choices, we had a Roast Beef meal and a Roast Pork meal from The Carvery. Both were very good, and at decent prices. Others decided on Fish Tacos from Hooky's, along with items from other vendors. We were all happy with our choices. After lunch, a couple from our group went to see Arcadia Earth, an artsy exhibit/show, while the rest of us wandered around, exploring The Well. Nice place. The only issue is with our Canadian weather, an open concept mall like this is tough during the colder months. Really quiet during the colder months and who really wants to hang outside for too long. However, during the summer it's a great gathering place with a decent food court, fitness centre activities like Arcadia Earth and National. You can even get some fresh produce and flowers too from Little Harvest Market.

I had a disappointing experience with the pharmacy services at Shopper's Drug Mart in Six Points…read morePlaza, and I feel compelled to caution potential customers. On January 24th, I called the pharmacy and requested a delivery. I was informed it would arrive the following day on the 25th. There was no mention whatsoever of a delivery fee. Given that my medication is covered by my employer, the assumption of no payment required seemed reasonable to me, especially when it was not discussed during the initial call. I usually pick up my medication and pay for it in person actually, so I genuinely didn't know. Fast forward to January 29th, five days later, the delivery guy called in advance and asked for $2 upon arrival, which was the first time I had heard about this. I attempted to pay with a $20 bill when he arrived - it was all I had in my purse - only to be refused. Then begins the saga of trying to settle this paltry sum with the pharmacy. Upon being contacted by the pharmacy an hour later, I am met with hostility and inflexibility by a woman - she sounded Asian but I'm not entirely sure. Despite offering various payment methods, including a TD Debit Visa, paying online via their website or making a bank transfer, all are summarily rejected. Instead, I am bluntly told that only a traditional credit card will suffice, which I do not possess. She was increasing agitated and hostile at my suggestions to pay her. The pinnacle of unprofessionalism is reached when I am threatened with a ban on future deliveries and subjected to accusatory remarks. The pharmacist was angry and insisted that I should have known about the delivery fee despite it never being mentioned during the initial conversation. I told her this, and she said that he did tell me over the phone on the 24th and accused me of lying. I don't know how she can know this when she wasn't present during the call. I asked her if I could pay the delivery the next time I pick up my medication, and she just says, "Fine, whatever." The entire exchange left me feeling demeaned, disrespected, and utterly disgusted with the level of customer service provided. To be treated like a criminal over a mere $2 charge is not only absurd but indicative of a pharmacy that prioritizes profit over patient care. In conclusion, if you value your time, money, and sanity, I don't recommend Shopper's Drug Mart pharmacy at Six Points Plaza if you have other options. The sheer incompetence and unprofessionalism on display was unparalleled.
