I had such a hard time with this bike at home and I was worried about how much it might cost to fix up all these problems in my bike. Luckily Chris was there to help explain everything to me. I am extremely happy about how transparent he was and accommodating to everything I needed done. I thought this was like dropping off a car for a few days, but he addressed all of my concerns in what seemed to be like 15 minutes while answering a handful of phone calls at the same time! This guy is talented and should absolutely be recognized!! I will be doing all my bike stuff in this shop from here on out!! Oh also, I saw they had a basket of training wheels! I asked if there was any chance they could install it that same day since I was hoping to ride with my wife the next day. Even though they were just minutes from closing and had other bikes to finish, the tech went above and beyond--he stayed a few minutes late to swap out the derailleur for me since it was a quick job. I thought I'd deal with both, but then I finally just decided to take it in to get looked at...I took it to Guy town bikes for just a gear adjustment at first. When I got my bike back, it rode great however, the knocking was still bothering me so I took in again to get that addressed. He changed out the bracket and now it rides like a dream!! His prices are great and he is upfront with what is likely the problem and an estimate of the cost and he will text if anything comes up during the service. I have to imagine I saved a ton of money rather than taking it to REI where I purchased my bike from... definitely a customer for life.

He's been doing this for years and it was certainly obvious. He had a wide selection of used bikes, which looked new to me for sale. I waited for over a half hour to have someone bring them out and nothing. I stopped a service person and asked if I was still on the list for the shoes I wanted - then was told that they couldn't find the other one....and he also said " I'm surprised nobody told you" . so I waisted over an hour just trying to buy a pair of shoes. Yoshi not only helped me find the right shoe with support and comfort, they went out of their way to find an insole that was going to help correct a fallen arch that I had not discovered I had... I always thought you either have an arch or you don't--unbeknownst to me you can correct it. So now, I'm leaving feeling taken care of even more than some of my doctors. It's nice to see even at a sporting goods store there are people who are passionate and caring, thanks Yoshi! :)

Pretty big bummer having invested thousands in bikes and service packages at Old Town. Trek shops…read moresays it will honor the service packages. I've tried on 3 occasions to get a tune. Twice just flat said no. "No room in shop. No availability and can't put you on the books in the future". Got one biked tuned which was supposed to be free and used to be free. Now barely covers anything. Still paid like $200 for a free tune after buying lifetime service package. Pretty solid scam. I'll definitely never buy another bike here.
