The last visit has given me a reason to take the next step and write a comment as their customer service was outstanding. Through a mutual miscommunication, the wrong replacement tire was ordered and placed on my bike. I only noticed this about five weeks later, and went in hoping they might switch for the desired tire with some discount for the replacement. Dan, the owner of the shop apologized and went much further than I had expected in ensuring my satisfaction in the overall experience. In 2026, to have this kind of old school (i.e., proper) customer service is rather exceptional. This kind of service requires customer loyalty in response. I will always come to Dan for repairs and future purchases. I heartily recommend that anyone who needs bicycle repairs do the same.

I handed her the part I had in my hand and asked if they had one. She took it to the back and asked somebody who immediately said "Nope" in a loud voice. He walked out front with another bike he was working on and aggressively told me manufactures don't make aftermarket parts like the one I was asking about. He continued talking in a loud tone and offered no advice or help in any way. I even, reluctantly, asked if he had any ideas and he repeated the same statement. I was extremely agitated and said "man you're not very helpful". He looked at me and said for a third time manufacturers don't make aftermarket parts. I just said ok, turned around and walked out. I don't know what this guy's problem was and if he's treated other customers the way he did me it's a wonder this place is still in business. I will NEVER visit this place again!

For years, they've offered a 15% local discount to residents of Seabrook, Kiawah, and lower Johns Island. Their sister stores in Freshfields offer the same. For years, I've shown my license and been granted a 15% discount, as I live about 1 mile from the store on Johns Island. I live closer than any Kiawah residents (Cassique is 2 miles), while the Marsh Oak condos at Bohicket Marina (Seabrook) are indeed closer than my house. This year I was told by management that they "never" offered discounts to anyone other than Seabrook Club or Kiawah Club members with a Club card. My years of receipts prove otherwise. It's hard for me to continue to support a local business when they are claiming they never had a policy that existed. It's fine if they choose to change their policy, but please do not lie about it.
