Decided to try the new neighborhood breakfast place and ordered for pick up. My partner picked it up and noticed it was pretty packed inside. Once he arrived home, we opened the boxes and his meal was perfect, my meal on the other hand was not. I ordered over easy eggs but got scrambled, I also ordered sausage patties but got bacon. The waffle I order was soggy, which is to be expected with take out but it was definitely disappointing because who wants a soggy waffle? The has browns were not cooked to my liking, very soft and not much crunch to it and not much flavor. I think they might have been short handed but I didn't get any kind of feeling like they were upset they were just interested in taking care of their customers the best they could. I got a southern fried chicken with eggs. The eggs were done just like I asked. The home potatoes were very good and didn't need ketchup because they were already seasoned nicely. My gripe with my meal was actually the gravy on my chicken. It was super salty. It wasn't un edible but I scrapped a lot of it off. The ambiance is the same as any Big Biscuit. It's loud, but open and inviting. They have local retro photography around the city they are in up on the walls. The bathrooms can develop a wait for ladies, but have been clean. They have high tables and low with seating for every size party. Even easier to use yelp to hold your spot. The food is delicious for the most part. I am not a fan of their flat browned omelettes. The bonut is to die for! The sticky bun or loaded sticky bum cannot really compare to the bonut. Must try for first timers, think funnel cake but a biscuit. Drinks are fun with custom combinations and playful sodas. The specialties do not come with a refill though which was disappointing. The service can be hit or miss. Sometimes it seems life waitstaff is understaff with lack of check ins from them on drinks etc for table. The manager usually wont even check in with us even if they could help their staff. Other waitstaff even hostesses help bring food out which is good that at least they support each other. I've eaten at the Big Biscuit in MWC (5 stars for them), and twice now at the one in OKC on N. May. The one on N. May is not my favorite, even though it's close. The first time I ate there, I was alone, it was a week day just around noon. Surprisingly, it was not busy. Many tables were empty. There was a sign to wait to be seated, so I waited. And waited. Then, I pulled out a menu and read it. I was wondering what else I could read or if I should just leave when someone finally came to seat me. Since I'd already read the entire menu, I already knew what I'd order but I had to wait for the wait staff to come by, as the hostess doesn't take orders, they seat people and keep the front running smoothly. So I waited, and when the waitperson came by, they were surprised I already knew what I wanted (cheese and bacon omelet, roast potatoes, biscuit, tea). Even though many tables were empty and it was at least 2 hours before closing, the waitperson dropped off the check with the drink while waiting on the food. I paid immediately because that seemed expected. When the food came out, the omelet was flat, like an Asian style rolled omelet, not a fluffy French omelet. OK. It was cool - not quite cold, but not warm, either. OK. The biscuit was stale. Not badly so, but it was crusty and dry and I had to be careful buttering it. I didn't see the waitperson once I got the food, so that was that. The next time, a couple of weeks later, I brought a friend. We arrived 2 and a half hours before closing, on a Saturday. There were a lot of filled tables, but also a lot of empty ones - maybe half, so busier than last time. We were seated quickly. Then we had to wait, because apparently the waitperson assigned to the section where we were seated left for the day. A different waitperson came grudgingly over to tell us our assigned waitperson went home for the day, then left. A few minutes later, they were back. We expected we were to be moved or something, but the waitperson said they'd take our order. We ordered. I had the Waffle Platter with scrambled eggs and bacon, and tea. Hard to mess that up. My companion got the veggie bowl with a side of sausage patties and a biscuit. They put the sausage IN the veggie bowl, which made the whole bowl taste like sausage instead the veggies - no sausage on the side - I had to order another side of sausage (which didn't make the bowl taste better). While waiting for the sausage, my companion tried to eat the biscuit. It was SOOOO stale. Crusty, crunchy, dry, you couldn't butter it because it literaly crunched apart. I thought the biscuit I had last time was stale, but this was beyond stale, like it sat out since 6:00 am, just drying out. The restaurant is called the Big Biscuit and the biscuit is its signature dish. Of all the food on the menu, that's the one dish expected to be done well and right. MWC got it right - the biscuits were large, fluffy, soft, soaked up the butter like a champ. But this OKC location had 2 chances to get the biscuit right - hours before closing - and failed. I don't recommend the OKC on N May location at all, but the MWC one is good. If I want to eat there again, I'll make the time and effort to go the extra miles to get to the MWC location. read more

That was impressive in my opinion that they got us in so quickly. The restaurant decor was nice and it was very clean. We started off with a cinnamon which is fantastic. It looks totally different than others we have eaten bit it tasted even better. Love how the cinnamon is evenly distributed so you get some on each bite. 3 car pile up on the menu is HUGE! January 30th, 2026 The food was genuinely delicious, and we appreciated being accommodated as a large group. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the behavior of our waitress, Jennifer. We were in town for a family funeral, and what we hoped would be a comforting brunch turned uncomfortable. While she was generally polite, Jennifer repeatedly mocked and laughed at my fiancé's comments and expressions, and made unnecessary, joking remarks about him using a straw and napkins. These "jokes" felt inappropriate and unkind, especially in a moment when our family was grieving. The food itself was great, which makes this disappointing. I hope management can address this, as a little sensitivity and professionalism would go a long way. read more
