The food has a unique twist to the normal. Two of my kids ordered the Korean beef bowl. They loved the bulgogi and egg but were fans of the kimchi and radish, are about half! The loaded fries were a table favorite. Also tried the maze bowl but they were out of hummus so we tried it without and didn't get to taste the full effect of the meal. Super fun vibe! When you walk in the first thing I thought of was the perfect happy hour & cocktail kind of place with great modern decor. I give kudos to the original menu choice items and fresh ingredients. I just wish the men had a bit more to offer for dinner. A brisket sandwich that's not barbecue is a nice departure from the norm, and the seasoning was perfect--some heat, but not too spicy, just lots of flavor! Our server was kind and attentive. We really enjoyed everything we had. I thought the spin on French dip was really fun and very delicious. I got it with the fries, which had a bbq seasoning so I really enjoyed how unique everything was. The bread pudding was delicious, with a perfect bit of crunch. I'm aways on the lookout for a good meatball sub. And the one at Big Lieu's did not disappoint. I tried that and the Italian grinder (which is another hankerin I often get). Both were supremely tasty! Nice vibe, they had the games goin, and good beer. It's a little off the beaten path, so may need to go lookin for it, but well well worth seeking it out. Next time, I get that craving for a tasty sandwich, i know where I'll be headed. There's nothing comparable in town. read more

My friends and I tried this restaurant after seeing a few videos from local food bloggers on Instagram. While I had high hopes, I ultimately left feeling the food and service was underwhelming. We were fans of the modern, airy ambiance, but ultimately felt the food was very average for the price - after tip, my lunch tab (for one) came out to $74. The $14 meatball appetizer came with three freezer-section-sized meatballs. I had the Mediterranean bowl with chicken for my entree. The rice, hummus, chicken and yogurt sauce were yummy, but the falafel were very dry and overcooked. I washed my meal down with a dirty neff, which was both unique and delicious. The service was a bit lackluster. We waited over 5 minutes for our soft drinks and more than 15 minutes for cocktails - there were only two other tables in the restaurant at the time. Then, towards the end of our meal, I felt like our server was pushing us to leave, likely ready to close out her tables and finish her shift. Not the end of the world, but also doesn't make for the most welcoming experience. read more

Great new spot in Bentonville! Service was top notch, super friendly staff, and the food is incredible. Large bar area with plenty of TVs to catch the big game. Cocktails are well thought and super delicious. If your are a Martini fan, you've gotta try the Dirty Neff! Favorite dishes so far are the Brisket Sandwhich, and the Burger. Both are soooo good. Big Lieutenant is a great out of the way food establishment with excellent service. They are noteworthy for their burger which is absolutely a winner but I will say that anything on the menu is a cut above traditional bar fare. The ambience is minimalist but very clean and well laid out. Interestingly photos on the site of certain foods were not on the menu which can be a bit misleading. I must assume some of the items were seasonal or test items and I was a little disappointed to not get the chance to try them. One waiter greeted us with water. The host took our drink order. 5 minutes later. Then our server came and asked" what do you want?" No greeting or anything. We placed our order with her. Food came out delivered by the person who brought us waters. By the way we have not received our drink order yet! I asked. The host brought us our drink order. No check in by the server. She only brought us the check. Never checked on our food or refilled our water. I am leaving her name out of this review. May go back and try it again in the new year. It's very overpriced, the drinks are good but you'll notice they randomly add a "mixed drink" tax to your bill, I find it odd. I cannot rate the food because I haven't tried it but something about $20 burgers just irks me. I'm sure it's good though. 3 stars because I could take it or leave it, never a bad experience the past two times I've gone but also doesn't draw me to think about it. I would not know how to review the food here but the disrespect of the establishment is 10/10. Every app and especially their own website advertised them to be open on Mondays. We drove in from out of town, went out of our way during rush hour traffic, just to find a note posted on their window that they are closed on Mondays due to staffing. While I have sympathy for their staffing issues, I do NOT have sympathy for the disrespect this shows to their customers. Please post closing hours accordingly on your website, google, yelp, etc. I sincerely hope your food far exceeds your professionalism. read more
