They fixed my bike that I bought at a Loveland shop (it had some problems related, in my opinion, to a bad build). Repair / mechanics services here are good, but they do get very backed up in peak season. I liked them so much that I came to Bishop's to buy a bike for my 7 year old, passing up some cheaper options (Dick's, Target, etc). Sales and fit process was very good. That was a great buy (it's a Jamis); that bike is a high quality item and has been trouble-free despite a lot of use. When my daughter outgrows it, it will have several other owners before it is done. They specialize in Jamis (not exactly a household name but I'd recommend checking them out), Felt, and Bianchi. Location is convenient; they are in downtown Milford but only 2 minutes from the Little Miami Bike Trail. Getting a street parking spot right in front of the shop has never been a problem. I am loyal to this shop and would recommend.

Back in March, I had a tube replaced that within a couple of weeks had blown. The good thing is, since this kept happening with them, it finally taught me how to replace my own tubes. The other good thing is that I could see how cheap the Bishop's tube was quality wise compared to the tube I bought for myself on Amazon. The other good thing is that on Amazon, I also found a great digital tire gauge/pump on Amazon to help take care of future issues. I immediately realized that one source of my tube blowouts was that the rather handsomely priced tire pump/gauge I had bought at Bishops years earlier was defective/inaccurate. So my bad for over-inflating. But their bad for selling crappy merchandise at inflated bike store prices. More recently, the crank on my bike broke (left pedal fell off as the hardware gave way). Not easy getting back five miles on one pedal, but did, and took it to Bishops for repair. They replaced the crank. Less than a month later, the left crank shaft falls off, again while I'm on the bike trail. This time at least I was able to screw it back in, since I had the necessary hex tool kit and the hardware wasn't completely broken. It was still making a grinding sound, which it had done before the failure. I took it back and told them I expected it to be repaired properly. The woman said the service manager would take a look. I still haven't heard back a few hours later. But after giving them until tomorrow morning, I'll go collect the bike one way or the other, take it Montgomery Cyclery, and deal with refund issues through other channels. Regardless, my days of doing business with Bishops are over forever. This saddens me, because it is a longstanding institution, oldest continuous operating bike shop in the U.S. But, hey, I'd stop doing business with the Wright Brothers if they kept continuously messing me over as well. Stay away.

Offered up information on the best way to travel leaning Loveland. For our first time in the area he suggested the way with the best views. The bikes where we'll maintain like new. There is a great place right behind the shop to hang out after your ride. Overall great experience.

I drop my bike off for front and rear brake replacement. I was issued a contractual work order for…read more$112.87. Five days later I receive a call notifying my bike is ready for pickup. At the time of pick up I was informed that additional work was performed on my bike and additional parts were installed and now I owe $244.92. (Side note the bike is five years old and I paid less than $500 for it originally). These guys tried to make me pay for work that was not approved and parts that were not indicated or approved for install. They removed their parts and I went on my way with a non-functional bike. Walked into the store and the guy behind the counter looked up from his phone and asked if he could help. I told him we were looking for X bicycle. He said "sorry, I don't think we have that" and immediately returned to his phone. So we looked for a bit while the kid never looked up from his phone and the two other guys in the repair counter section shot the crap. Left and went to another bike shop. There the staff was super nice and we wound up buying a mid-range bike that was not on the list. I get that you may not have the bike in stock, but people do order bikes or might buy another model.

Mitch got me fully dialed, taught me proper form, and gave me exercises to improve my function on the bike. It started with a warm-up on Zwift which was fun, then lead into getting on the fit bike to take measurements. Afterwards once the fit was setup Mitch dialed the bike I brought in, in. Both my comfort and power output feel much better since doing the fit. On top of all that Mitch was great and made the experience comfortable and didn't mind giving tips to a newbie like me. Couldn't recommend more!
