We rented the Velotric ebikes because we were interested in trying them out and they were fantastic (although not really necessary for the trail). I joined them on the Natchez Trace tour and loved every minute of it. In the Spring the wild flowers bloom in colors you don't see up north. The roads are pristine and the cars if there were any were very respectful. Tenn, Alabama and Mississippi are worth seeing as are the people. The best part for me was visiting the recording studio in Alabama at 3614 Jackson Highway where many of the great hits were recorded backed by the Swampers. The gentleman working there is a walking encyclopedia of American music history. And then there was the stop in Tupelo, MS at the local hardware store where Elvis bought his first guitar. A descendant of the original owner, another walking encyclopedia spoke to us and told stories of all the strange and wonderful things that have happened there and continue to happen every day there. In fact, one time they took me to the top of White Top mountain but didn't pack the correct bike (I paid for a tag along). Thank goodness there was a man there who let me switch bikes with him so I could attach the tag along. This past visit, the 2 staff ignored me when I asked for a cruiser, (I have lower back issues). They gave me a man's mountain bike, but I was pulling a tag along so it was very difficult getting on and off the bike. And it killed my lower back. Not to mention the comfy seat was torn so it wasn't that comfy!!!! Ouch!!! We were there on a Tuesday so it wasn't that busy, and there was plenty of bikes available. On a good note we really like the shuttle drivers. They are very kind and helpful.

I can't say enough about how much fun our family had on our Triad Trolleys ride! Our family…read morerecently booked a trolley ride to transport us to Spencer NC's train museum for the Polar Express experience. We loaded up our whole family of 13, including 5 toddlers and we had a BLAST! The Trolley has been beautifully restored and incredibly comfortable. The owner, Hal, made sure we had a smooth and fun ride, playing Christmas music and making sure we were all having a fun time. He spent time with the kids showing them how different parts of the trolley worked and let them ring the bell. The excitement of riding the trolley honestly was as much fun if not more fun than the actual train ride to follow. We had such a wonderful time that we hired them again to take our family through Tanglewood's festival of lights. I can't imagine us going through the light show in any other way. Hal made sure to point out all of the displays that he knew the kids would enjoy. He also knew a great deal about the history of Tanglewood and shared a ton of interesting facts about how the park has changed over the years. The memories create on both of these rides will be cherished by our entire family and so happy we made the decision to go with Triad Trolleys! If you are looking for a fun way of exploring the Triad area or simply for a fun night out, I cannot begin to recommend enough renting one of their trolleys for your adventure! We will be using their services again and again!

As an adult, I've enjoyed cycling since the late 80s and having previously worked in a shop myself, was looking for a place that could not only fix my bikes but one that I could develop a relationship with. The kind of bike shop you could hang out in, swap riding stories, plan rides and maybe even learn a little something you didn't know about your bike. After visiting a handful of shops I walked into Just Ride Bikes and Fitness. Just Ride had that bike shop vibe, which was like going to that place where everybody knows your name. You know that place, right? When I walked into Just Ride, I was greeted by Brian who is the owner. Brian was friendly and knowledgeable of not only the bike business but the local cycling scene as well, which was invaluable to a new arrival to the great state of Tennessee. Brian's staff were equally helpful and great to talk bikes with. After that initial visit, I brought my mountain bike in to have the dropper post serviced. Brian got the job done quickly, kept me abreast of the status of my repair and made sure the service cost remained reasonable. My dropper post now works better than when my bike was new! For riding the Creeper and other trails in the area I bought a Trek Checkpoint gravel bike from Just Ride. Brian made some great suggestions for which gravel bike was best for me and made me a very reasonable offer on the purchase of my new Checkpoint. I also completed my first shop ride with the Just Ride crew, which was a total blast and I can't wait for the next one. I've been to shops where no one who works there actually rides but the guys at Just Ride are cyclists of all levels whom you just might see if you're out on the Greenbelt trail or elsewhere. I've found bicycle shops that have practically no inventory and everything has to be ordered for you to shops that stock mostly the super expensive stuff that you probably don't want or need. Just Ride keeps a nice selection of bikes and accessories in stock that you'll actually want, including products for the serious athletes to those riders who just want to get some exercise and enjoy the road/trail. I found the staff at Just Ride to be honest, welcoming and very competent. I'm happy to have found Just Ride Bikes and Fitness and they are now my go to shop in northeast Tennessee.
