My only qualms are with the coffee and atmosphere. Either our coffees were burnt or we just don't like the roast (I got a caramel latte, she got a chai latte). We still drank them because they weren't absolutely disgusting, they just tasted off and not something you'd want to drink regularly. As for the atmosphere, the space was very cute and well laid out - there are plants and paintings throughout to bring color and joy. However, Carolers came in for about 15 minutes.. with brass instruments! I understand "tis the season" and I love the Christmas spirit, but I also don't want a trombone blasting music 10 feet from my table on a lazy Sunday morning... a little disappointed Ceres allowed them to do this, but I also don't want to be a Scrooge... The baked goods and coffee are both so good, and they even have some gluten free and dairy free options which is a huge plus. We tried a few pastries and everything was delicious, but the standout was the huckleberry cream cheese danish. So good. I also love that they make their coffee syrups in house. The latte was really yummy and the foam on top was beautifully presented. The staff is seriously so kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better.
