They had a great incentive at the time, and we immediately fell in love with the space. From the first tour, the team was amazing. Adriana showed us around and was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. Aleshia assisted with finalizing our booking and was just as wonderful. We met with Adriana in person two more times before the wedding and also communicated frequently via email -- responses were always prompt and thorough, which made the planning process feel organized. Venue 1902 provides a curated list of recommended vendors (with catering to be selected from their approved options--plus with BYO alcohol option too) and hosts vendor events throughout the year (plus twice a year exclusively for couples who have already secured a date). These were a valuable part of planning -- we found our phenomenal vendors: caterer, hair/makeup artist, photographer, and photobooth company through these. The team was transparent about what their day-of coordination service includes versus what would require an additional decor placement fee, which we appreciated. They also offer a wide range of decorations, with a price list provided after booking. We were open about our budget throughout the entire process, and we never felt judged or pressured to spend more. A month before the wedding, they set up an online planning tool that helps organize the guest list/seating chart/general layouts and allows you to access/edit at home after, making it easy to visualize the wedding day setup. Small tip: If you plan to have hair and makeup services at the venue, coordinate with your artists early to determine what time you'll need venue access. You might be surprised at how long it takes to complete hair and makeup! Between our booking and our wedding, Venue 1902 implemented a day-of coordination partnership with the company Just Marry!. Initially, this change made me (bride) a bit nervous, but those concerns were put to rest. While our full experience with Just Marry! deserves its own separate review, I cannot say enough positive things about Emylie, who was absolutely incredible and played a huge role in ensuring our wedding day ran smoothly. Venue 1902 truly has thought of everything. It's an all-in-one venue with spacious bride and groom getting-ready suites (filled with natural lighting), lots of clean bathrooms, and beautiful outdoor ceremony (with the option to move indoors due to weather at no extra cost)/indoor+outdoor cocktail hour/indoor reception spaces. With so many unique spots for photos, the venue looks beautiful no matter the angle--and equally striking in color or black and white. There is ample parking plus valet service and elevator access to the reception area on wedding day (available for guests who NEED it). They even lock the bridal suite during the wedding to ensure personal belongings are secure. Brunch provided during wedding day was delicious and substantial. Thoughtful touches like mailing a letter and tote bag for the bride months before the wedding as well as giving us a bottle of champagne during the wedding rehearsal made us feel cared for. A little heads up for future brides planning to wear a long veil--mine got caught on the flooring of the outdoor ceremony aisle, which was totally fine; I just wasn't ready meheheheh! Overall, Venue 1902 is absolutely stunning, professionally run, and exceeded our expectations in every way. I like that they have multiple choices for the ceremony location. We were outside in the courtyard/garden area. It was beautiful. Cocktail hour was done downstairs in one of the rooms and foyer. Loved the natural light that came in through the huge windows. It didn't feel cramped at all! The reception was upstairs and this is the only reason I knocked off 1 star. I didn't see where there was an elevator to get to the second level. This would obviously be an issue for anyone that has issues with stairs or someone that was wheelchair bound. The upstairs reception area was beautiful! It's a big open space and makes for a nice place to decorate. I will definitely keep this place in mind for any future events.

The lady was very friendly, informative and even took the time to give us a tour of the venue. There are plenty of photo op areas, a dining area, changing rooms, a dance floor with event lighting, a small kitchen and prep area, restrooms, and a few other themed rooms that are great for parties, Weddings, Graduations, Celebrations, and more. Everything is very clean, and organized. Pricing varies, it's best to call for an appointment to see all the venue has to offer and work with the owners on the details of the event to confirm a firm quote. My wife and I like that it is a one stop shop where you can get married and hold the reception at the same venue, minimizing travel and additional costs to all parties involved. The Bride and Groom also have dressing rooms available where they can prepare and be away from the main party while they prepare for their big moment. We also liked that the small kitchen in the back provides another avenue to save by having the food catered via a third party of your choice versus being required to order food from or through the Wedding Place. We haven't held an event here yet, but Nancy has mentioned the Wedding Place a few times since our visit here. We would definitely keep them in mind for our next big party or get together. If you are in the area and looking for an all-in-one venue where you can hold your next party, themed event, or Wedding than the Wedding Place might be just what you're looking for.

I love historic buildings. When I was planning my fall 2015 wedding I was on the hunt for a…read morebeautiful yet affordable venue for our ceremony in Winter Park. I found all of those qualities here at the Woman's Club. The staff was also very friendly throughout the entire process. According to the club's website, "founded in 1915, the Woman's Club of Winter Park is one of the oldest not-for-profit community organizations in Winter Park, Florida." In addition to the meetings held here, the building is available for rent for events including weddings. The have spaces available for all parts of your wedding. You can have one part of the event or all at the club. They have ceremony space, reception space, and cocktail hour space if you are willing to host part of the event outdoors. We used the club just for our ceremony and it was so perfect. We had about 80 guests seated which took up about 2/3 of the room. I think they can do up to around 150 seated. There are beautiful mantels on either end of the main room which we used for our event. It was so beautiful and intimate. We loved the historic touches which had also been recently renovated before our event. At the end of our wedding, our guests were directed to the lawn. We then exited down the sidewalk aisle into our getaway car. A wonderful photo opp! Easy to work with, they have a very fair price. Ceremony alone here cost us less than $1,000! Try finding that anywhere else in the heart of Winter Park. Or anywhere. I am so happy to have found this location. Popped into Eola View for an art exhibit, and I was quietly impressed. It has a really good view of…read moreLake Eola. The space is large, airy, and filled with numerous seating areas for congregating with peers. It is conveniently located near various other spots downtown, in particular City Arts, which hosts an opening art exhibit on the 3rd Thursday of every month at their galleries. So, you can usually continue your art walk at Eola View (which is how I initially found out about the events they host). I've also learned it is a great co-working space, making it great for networking and small corporate events. So, that's always a good thing to keep in mind for us corporate girlies/fellas. They do have a full-service bar as well, public restrooms, service stairs, and one service elevator (which is a little slow, but in all honesty, what elevator in DTO is NOT SLOW). All in all, the space is LOVELY. I overly love their "Champagne Bar" area (because I OVERLY LOVE The Champagne Bar in Tampa at the Oxford Exchange). It is great for pictures and wedding receptions (as well as various other gatherings). So, I am a BIG FAN of Eola View, and I look forward to attending more events in the future.
