Great place for delicious, greasy, exactly what you needed Wisconsin bar food. Service was kind of quick but the food came out super fast, faster than I expected. If you're not sure what to get, the Reuben is great, and also anything you get with their fresh cut looking fries will be a good call. The cheese curds are good too but the entrees came out so fast you may be able to skip the apps, unless it was just really fast the day we went, They have Coke, not Pepsi, and from what it looks like a fully solid bar menu too. Not a huge place, but there is space in the basement and I think you can eat down there too based on whether there's an event or not. read more

First time here - love the fish! We were staying in the area for a few days with family and we wanted to go out for a Friday Night Fish Fry. Our cousin knew of the Blue Goose and assumed they had fish. He was right. As we walked in (around 4:30 pm on the 4th of July), it was loud. This was due to a large group standing about, about to leave. Once they were gone and we were seated at a low 4-top table in a corner by the arcade games, the noise level was great. A server was by within a few minutes of us sitting down. We' looked over the menu already, so we placed our drink and dinner order with her. She was very pleasant. We ordered: - Fried Cod with Fries and Coleslaw - Fried Walleye with Fries and Coleslaw - Fried Catfish Tacos with Potato Pancakes and Apple Sauce - We had beers too: Summer Shandy x 2 and Spotted Cow The beer was cold and refreshing. The food came maybe 10 minutes later. I had the 2-pc Fried Walleye and it was fabulous! Two large filets, lightly breaded and fried to perfection. And so tasty. Our cousin had the Cod and enjoyed it as well. My wife had the Fried Walleye Tacos and enjoyed them too. As this was her first time here, she didn't know the tacos would come completely dressed with the coleslaw on the tacos already or she would have ordered the coleslaw on the side. Her potato pancakes were very good. And while the rustic, hand-cut fries were good, I liked the potato pancakes more and will get them next time. My wife and I each took half our meals home and will enjoy them for lunch tomorrow. We had a few questions about the area and asked random staff who passed by and they always knew the answers. Can't say enough for how friendly the team here was today. We can recommend the Blue Goose for drinks and food - especially the Fried Walleye! The Goose has yet to disappoint. I had the Philly Cheese Steak and I will definitely be ordering it again! I've had just about everything on the menu all with 5 stars and this sandwich is right up there with the rest. Not to mention the service. Everyone is always smiling and greet you the minute you're walking through the door. No matter how busy, our bartender Krystin, makes you feel like you feel like you're the only customer she has! For this to be a bar the food and drinks were delicious! The whole staff was attentive to our large party and making sure everything came out fresh and hot. This is a truly a bar and grill setting with lots of games and plenty of tv's. I will come back to place if we go sledding again. This place is a true gem. Tucked away in the twin Lakes area.. quick and friendly service . This place might not be the biggest , but let me tell you. this place is big on flavor. This was some of the best bar food I've ever had... I would call it elevated bar food with a creative twist...I had the trashy taco. I didn't really know what to expect with a name like that. It was delicious.. all of the ingredients from pickled onions ,cilantro ranch and coleslaw make the perfect combination. A blast of flavor. A friend and I stopped here for lunch near noon. I got the usual I get at a restaurant/bar, burger (mushroom Swiss) fries and a beer. I gotta say it was really good as far as burgers go. The bun wasn't bigger than the burger, the burger was thick but cooked throughly but not to the point of dry leather. The taste was very good and it came with lettuce onion pickle and tomato on the side, so you could assemble the way you like. Even the pickles were decent. The fries could have been hotter when served but they too scored points for taste. But hotter next time please. Real fries with the only seasoning on them salt, just the way fries should be imo. My friend got a quesadilla with onion and mushroom I think, and soup for the side. It looked very good and she said it was. I don't know what's average price for a restaurant/bar burger but w tax and the beer($5) total before tip was about$20. For the quality of food, quantity of fries, I'd say worth it definitely. Oh service was fine. Got orders pretty quick and checked to see if everything was good and prompt getting us checks and change. No complaints at all. Forgot to take pictures but I did bring 1/2 of everything home. Just won't look as good if I took a pic of it now. read more

This place really tickles my tummy with their yummy food! The service alone makes me come back for more every time I walk in I'm greeted with waves of love. The ambiance of the blue goose is like nothing I've ever experienced before, picture sitting in a ln ice cold freezer on a hot day as your absentee father shows up after he went to get milk years ago! Not a fan. Went on a Wednesday around 3pm for the wing special. We were the only customers seated at a table, there were 5 men at the bar. Waited for about 5 minutes to be greeted. Limited sauce options (I recall 3 sauces offered and 1 dry rub). Ordered 6 BBQ and 6 Lemon Pepper rub. Waitress/ bar tender drops the food and never came back. I walked up to the bar for a soda refill. Had to wait while she tended to the bar patrons first. Then had me stand there while she refilled (vs I'll bring it over to you). Only trips to the table was to bring the food and the bill. No joke, the 6 wings could fit in the palm of my (female) hand. Tiny. Not busy. Not good service. Left hungry. If you want a place to sit at a bar and drink, it's a place to go to for sure. Don't expect an eating environment from my experience. read more

Great food and service at this casual pub in Twin Lakes. Food was great and service was awesome. Fish fry was cooked perfectly. Tartar sauce was flavorful and homemade. I really enjoyed the coleslaw. Potato pancakes were delicious but didn't appear to be homemade. Tried the southwest egg rolls and the sauce was really tasty. My wife had the pesto chicken with the home cut fries. Both were out of this world. It looked so good I had to have a bite. The tender chicken the roasted red pepper mozzarella cheese was divine, the pesto was not overpowering on perfectly toasted Texas type bread. I was impressed and will be back. read more
