Great little bar and you can take drinks out to the outside tables. Goes great with firefly pizza!

I was told 15 to 20 minutes and arrived right at the 20 minute mark, but it was obvious the pizza had been sitting there much longer. It was served up ice cold. Even the dollops of ricotta tasted like they were added after the pizza was made, straight from the refrigerator. I am not exaggerating when I say ice cold, despite parts of the pizza being burnt. The edges of the crust were burnt, not in a good wood fired way with flavor, but just hard, overcooked, and inedible. While the toppings were generous, the pizza itself was extremely dry, just like others have mentioned. As I waited, I could see into the kitchen and noticed they were using pre made crusts, basically the kind you would grab at a grocery store when you do not feel like making your own. Charging $47 for that? No thanks. I hate wasting food, but we could not even finish this pizza. It was that bad. That is on me for not checking reviews beforehand. We should have just stuck with our usual spot, Grand Pizza, which happened to be closed for mud season. The difference in quality is night and day. I just want to warn others before they make the same mistake and waste their money like I did. Definitely will not be back.

Come for a drink (or two), stay for the view…read more The patio is definitely the best part to the Tavern's atmosphere. It makes for great wildlife viewing along with enjoying the simplicity of the fresh mountain air. Outdoors, the Tavern will host live music and have ample seating alongside a couple fire pits. Indoors the Tavern has tellys for watching sports or radio play music for entertainment. Note that the alcohol selection is limited. Reservations are accepted, as are walk-in's. The Tavern works well for couples, families, and groups.

DONT GO HERE IF YOU ARE NOT A LOCAL!!!!…read more This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had. We arrived just after 7:00 p.m. and placed our order within a few minutes. The first red flag came when our server brought our drinks to the table. He grabbed my dad's straw with his bare hand and pulled it up before handing him his soda. It was unsanitary and honestly just gross. We also asked about the house sauce because we wanted to know if we'd like it. The server came back and described it as "cheese and meat." Later, when we were leaving, the bar manager told us it was a "family secret recipe." We weren't asking for the recipe--we simply wanted to know what was in it so we could decide whether to order it. My sister-in-law has food allergies, so knowing ingredients matters. Because of her allergies, we also asked if the burger buns contained eggs. Instead of checking, the server initially responded, "It shouldn't." We had to ask him to confirm with the kitchen. Only then did he come back and tell us the buns did contain eggs. Guessing when someone asks about allergens is unacceptable. After dropping off our drinks, our server completely disappeared. For nearly 50 minutes, no one checked on our table, offered drink refills, or gave us any update on our food. Meanwhile, he spent the time inside standing around talking with other employees. We understand that food can take time to prepare, but that was never our issue. A simple "Your food is taking a little longer" or "The kitchen is still working on it" would have gone a long way. Instead, we were completely ignored. At 8:00 p.m., after waiting nearly an hour with no communication, we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. Instead of apologizing or trying to understand why we were frustrated, the bar manager immediately became argumentative. She insisted our food was already ready, but if that was true, there was no reason it should have been sitting in the kitchen instead of being brought to our table. As we explained that our issue was the lack of communication and service--not the cook time--she continued arguing and even told us she "had a right to tell us how it is." The waiter then approached me, argued with me, and got in my face. He kept insisting that food takes 30 minutes to prepare, but that completely missed the point. We understood that food can take time. The problem was that after bringing our drinks, he never checked on us again, never refilled our drinks, and never once updated us on our order. We were simply forgotten until we decided to leave. What made the experience even more frustrating was that the restaurant wasn't busy. There were only a handful of occupied tables, and several people were simply hanging out rather than eating. There was no reason for service to be this poor. After leaving, we went to Taco About It, where we were greeted right away, our order was taken promptly, and the service was excellent. The difference in customer service was night and day. Between the unsanitary handling of my dad's straw, the careless approach to food allergy questions involving my sister-in-law, being ignored for nearly an hour, and staff choosing to argue with customers instead of taking responsibility, I can't recommend this restaurant. We left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and wishing we had gone somewhere else from the start.

Edit: I hope you don't ever have an issue with this business because they are not above a low blow!…read moreAs seen in their response, they double down on calling our wedding party "trashy" without any justification. We were quiet and our group of nearly 20 paid the bill in full on one tab. We were all happy to pay, even for food that was gray and gross (specifically the Santorini platters), just not for what we never received and was not even available. This could have been handled far more respectfully, but at least it made an interesting story for my friend's wedding day. We don't need to go back and forth, but I do really hope the owners will consider changing their approach to conflict at least. Original review: I think about the terrible experience I had here with my friends all the time. We made a reservation weeks in advance for a WEDDING. They had the numbers wrong, despite the bride calling to confirm ahead of time. When we arrived, the wait staff and servers were very kind, but clearly not knowledgeable about the menu availability, as we had multiple items cancelled 20+ minutes after ordering. I remember waiting almost half an hour before water was even brought to our table. The food was mediocre at best, and the Santorini platters had nasty and gray meat. Although, everyone did seem to enjoy the spaghetti. The worst part of the experience was above all the management. He was invasive everyone's personal bubble, and argumentative with the problems we had brought up at the end of our meal. They had not only left the disgusting meals on our bill, but tried to charge us for appetizers that we never received, as they were out of stock. We all left a poor review on Google following this experience, as we were all appalled by how this situation was handled. The owners refused to take any criticism, and proceeded to respond to our review by calling us TRASHY. At a wedding. After various hateful and rude responses, they managed to even delete our whole group's Google reviews, which I did not know could even be done. We are a very respectful group in my opinion, and I have a hard time standing up for myself as is, but this experience was truly so disturbing and disrespectful. I hope they continue to learn and grow from these events. It's been months at this point, and I still cannot believe how this wedding dinner was handled.
