Later, I saw more of her work, at the Kuhio Village Towers condo, and, more recently, at the Waikiki Banyan condo/hotel. I'm an eye witness to the fact that she is an absolute ARTIST, GENIUS, and WIZARD, when it comes to plants. She knows plants which can live in a pot indoors, with no sunlight, no fresh air, and little or no watering or fertilizing, i.e., virtually maintenance free, and yet they remain green, healthy, and beautiful, and do not shed any leaves or anything else. They are some kind of cave-dweller plants, and can grow big. Under her direction, the plants and landscaping at the Waikiki Banyan changed from the former "so-so", "okay" job, to a striking exhibit of beautiful artistry and impressive mastery with plants. I've never in my life known of anyone else who is better with plants than Susan Knott of the Why Knott Nursery.

We spoke to several flower companies and none seemed as detailed or responded back as quick as Christine did. We had never met in person but she is very efficient through email. She does get very busy so there were a few times where I had to follow up on a request made but it was not a big deal. She took care of all the boutonnieres for the groom, groomsmen, father of the couple, ushers, and even made mini ones for our tiny ring beareres! For my side she made my bouquet (which I wanted to have our wedding colors in my bouquet of navy blue and gray) and my bridesmaids bouquets which were all white. She also made baby's breath flower crowns for my two flower girls who were different sizes and made the size accordingly. She did the lei for our moms and also for all 25 of our out of town guests. I had wanted more color in my bouquet but I can understand how hard that would be to find navy blue and gray flowers and incorporate them, especially being in Hawaii. But I could tell that she did the best she could. Because our reception was outdoors, we opted not to have any flower decorations. Instead, we wanted to decorate the church aisle. I had asked her for baby's breath posy bouquets on every other row and then ribbon bows on the alternating rows. I sent her a picture of something that I pictured in my head which was very simple. But the bows that she created were BEAUTIFUL. They were wide material and draped beautifully. We ended up using them to redecorate our sweetheart table with them at the reception! I'll try to add some photos for reference. Christine answered all of my questions and was very patient with me in updating our flower plan as I did notice some errors throughout while editing. There was also a station with buckets of flowers: yellow roses; peach, red, lime, pink and purple carnations; Crysanthemums, mums; daisies; ferns, etc. There is a mocktail corner too! A bookcase filled with Brooklyn New York snacks, sweets, essentials, savories and home good gifts! My favorite section was a bar with hanging upside down flowers particularly roses! My husband…read moreand I had a consultation with him prior to placing the order, and he completely understood what I had in mind for the event based on the bits of info I shared. We had four 16' long guest tables to decorate, so Todd suggested using low profile arrangements with long-stemmed florals and ferns spilling gracefully over the border to occupy more of the space. I told him I wanted the table florals to be elegant and lush without being overdone and also wanted to add some flameless candles. I had no clue how to design the look I envisioned, but Todd understood. He told me how to intersperse the candles with the florals to cut down on expenses and create a serene and lovely ambiance. He proposed five floral centerpieces per table, featuring a large rectangular one in the center surrounded by two smaller round ones on each side, with candles set up between each floral. After set up on the day of the event, we took a step back to admire how gorgeous the tables looked. It was the perfect balance of lush and simple elegance. The colors of the arrangements were soft and soothing with pops of deeper hues that caught the eye. The flowers themselves were very fresh. Many guests remarked about the gorgeous flowers and how lovely the tables looked. I'm so thankful to Todd for designing floral adornments that were exactly what I had in mind, but couldn't quite put into words. My husband and I know that Mom would have loved them.

Having gone through my own serious health issue years ago I understand how quickly life can change and I sincerely wish him a full and speedy recovery. That said my wedding is only one week away and after not hearing from Todd for the past two weeks, I became very concerned about my flowers. When I finally learned that he was in the ICU with a phone call from him, I was genuinely worried for him, but I also had to make sure my wedding on August 18 will be taken care of. Todd eventually called me after another few days and he said his sister would follow up with me. I felt relieved but unfortunately another three more days passed without hearing from her and with my wedding just days away this created an incredible amount of unnecessary stress, especially when I paid him for the full service months in advance. I completely understand that emergencies happen but as a business owner, especially in the wedding industry where timing is critical there should be a backup plan in place to communicate with clients when the owner is unavailable. I truly wish Todd well with his health, but I hope he considers putting a better backup system in place so future brides do not experience the same uncertainty and stress during such an important time in their lives.

The color held so beautifully, and the detail in the preservation is just stunning. I ended up ordering a mix of resin and pressed pieces, as well as some adorable scrunchies made from the dried florals. And I was trying to decide if I will fly my bouquet back to California or have it done in Hawaii. Did my Google search and I found MBP. Their items I saw on the website were so beautiful! So I chose a date and made my order. I dropped off my bouquet the next day after my wedding. I was getting worried that I did not do a well of a job to taking care of it (put in water etc.) per instructions. And as my husband and I were on our way to drop it off, I was exchanging texts with one of the staff about my worries and she said it was totally fine and helped me stay at ease haha. The place was cute as you entered. I was explained what the process will be and how long it will take. I was asked what is my favorite flowers or pieces from the bouquet and they were able to incorporate that. I also brought my lei po'o that my cousin made for me in hopes that MBP can do something with it as well. And they were able to! I was soooo happy. I have no complaints at all. Everything went smoothly and explanations were simple and straight forward. When the final product arrived at my home, I was ecstatic! It looked so beautiful. And every time I look at it I can imagine and just go back to my wedding day and relive it. I can't wait to show my children one day and tell them that it contains the parts of my bouquet and lei po'o and that they were all from Hawaii.
