First time here, and a great place to eat. The fried catfish basket was the best. I also love the fried green tomatoes. They have a great selection of beer and drinks. The atmosphere is fantastic has tons of outside seating, as well as inside seating with great views. The place is super clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and helping us even identified trails to go on as well as great breakfast places they're very attentive. It is a place where you order your food at your table or at the counter, and they bring it to you with a check on you often and make sure the service is great. read more

They read our order back twice and each time it was wrong, so when the food came out of course it was wrong. We should have read the reviews and skipped this restaurant, we should have taken the sign of no on eating there. My burger was not cooked enough for my liking so I stopped eating. read more

This place was so bad that I actually felt sorry for them. The signs say to order at the entrance, so we are standing in line to order. A waitress pulls us aside to get us a table, so we follow her, as directed. She sat us outside where the occasional drafts of sewer smell added a special spice to our meal. Then she tells us to go back to the cash register to order. It felt like a comedy routine! We go back to the back of the line to wait to order. Placing our order was fine except the lady gives us a list of pies and when we choose, she tells us they don't have that one! We return to our table to wait for the food - a significant wait. A waitress first comes out with our pie and ice cream. Not wanting the ice cream to melt while we eat, we refused them, preferring g to wait until our entrees were served. This became an issue later. Entree were pretty sad. I would be embarrassed to serve any of these at my own home. The burgers were so dry - you need something to drink to choke them down (but good luck find the drink station, or help finding it). The Mac & Cheese was some soupy instant garbage that I would never feed my family, and the deer chili seemed to be some canned variety. We eventually had to go beg for our pies and ice cream, the waitress saying we had refused them, acting like we were way out of line for asking for them after our entree. Great service and great food. One of our favorite spots in the area. Spicy chicken sandwich was the perfect amount of heat.

Server was fairly new but very good. Unfortunately we were only able to eat our appetizers. Fish and shrimp weren't cleaned properly. At first the manager told the server over the phone they wouldn't do anything and we would have to pay it. There were no managers on site. I had the server call the manager and allow me to speak with them. The manager still would only allow a discount to be given. We ultimately paid for food that we only took 1bite of. Unfortunately we wont be visiting this restaurant again. I dont feel they made it right. The manager also said they had never had a complaint. The food was just mediocre and we had to order at the bar and then sit and wait for the food. The catfish was in color but the pieces were anemic and not hot and who in the heck puts apples and cubes of cheddar cheese in their coleslaw. The servers and staff were doing their level best to help everyone and to keep the peace which was no easy feat given that the A/C was pretty much non-existent. I feel super sorry for the staff at the establishment doing their best in some pretty awful circumstances. With as many better establishments to eat at in Hochatown, don't waste your money here. read more

The food at this place was absolutely horrible. The chicken strips were so dry and tough they were more like jerky. The fried squash was cold. And the Mac and cheese was literally microwaveable Kraft Easy Mac, and undercooked and soupy at that. I've never in my life been served something like that in a restaurant. The service was terrible too. The bathroom had a BAR of soap laying on the sink and that's all they had to wash your hands. Gross! read more

Amazing experience! I've been to broken bow many times but have never stopped in to eat here due to the fact that it's a little hidden, if i would've known this would've been my favorite place! The staff is super sweet and helpful, the food is fast and delicious, and last but not least the decor and restaurant itself is ADORABLE!! Plus they cover the tables in paper and give you crayons to draw with which is great to keep kids entertained, they also have "family style" entrees that are big enough to share so it's good for groups too, 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a cute date spot or somewhere to bring the family! will absolutely be back! extra special shoutout to Carrie, she was amazing and so kind!!!! read more

I'll give it 3.5 stars. Hit and misses across the menu Odd hours. Close at 6:30 pm even on a weekend. Not sure if it's COVID related or not. they have plenty of outdoor seating. Their indoor is a little smaller. It's a mix of fast casual. We got seated at our table, then order at the front, then pick up your food at the window when they call your name. the pricing between th whole chicken and half chicken is pretty stark. I recommend getting the whole ($24) and split between two people since it's 8 pieces. You get two sides. $1.50 more for Mac and cheese and one other option. Free sides are fries, cole slaw, and beans That you get to choose from. You also get bread and side of pickles and onions with the chicken. The pickles that come with the chicken were sweet. Got the Nashvile hot and the menu emphasizes that it's REALLY spicy. Note that it takes 15-20 minutes because they make the chicken to order. Tried the fried pickles, which someone RAVED about. They were not good!!! especially for $8 or something. They were REALLY salty and the pickles were too thin. I tasted mainly the batter. Disappointing. The chicken was NOT spicy At all. They said it was Nashville hot on the menu.... clearly they've never had hot. There was a bit of spice but you didn't taste it until eating more. There looked to be some sauce/drippings at the bottom of the basket and that was spicy. my friend said it was grease... other than that the chicken was good. there was one piece that looked a little pink/red though. the Mac and cheese was ok. Not the greatest, but not the best either. Didn't really have that "cheesy" flavor. Cole slaw was interesting because they put TINY cheese cubes in it! Never seen that before. Also had some apples. I asked how long it would be and all she would tell me was how many people were ahead of me and then looked at me like I was stupid when asking how long that would take. Wellllll where shall I begin... Called ahead... Lovely lady answers... yes can you seat 8 adults and an infant.... replies yes but its about 15 minutes... we come in and get on the list, they then seat us and as we are being seated... a lady from the kitchen (Manager Kayla) comes out and says we can't sit in a group over 6..... after they already sat us.... all while the lovely family of 9 are seated enjoying their dinner as you can see in the pic.... Hmmmm kudos to the two poor girls working for this lady running the front of house... they are doing the best they can with the guidance they get from the manager Kayla... Anyway... our waitress/hostess/bartender May is doing a great job. Maybe they are just busier than normal and Kayla is overwhelmed... Well Kayla, in the future know your surroundings before you tell a mixed race family of 8 that they can't be seated because there is more than 6 as a mere 15 foot a way there's a complete white family of 9 enjoying their dinner... oh I'm not pulling the race card cause I'm one of white guys in the group.... So now that we were split up between 6 at the table and 2 at the bar... our waitress took our order got our drinks out to us and put our food order in.... as we sit and chat at the bar, Kayla goes to the other 6 in our party sitting at a separate table and tells them they have to order at the hostess stand.... hmmmmm no one else that ordered had to do that... interesting... The other six in our party decided to leave which is understandable. I asked that they pack our food togo... Now to see if I can get contact info for the establishment owner... then it's on to Google Review and Facebook Review...... Update on the togo food... Half & Half which is half fried pickles and half fried jalapeños. The thin pickle slices were so over fried they were like potato chips, the jalapeños were apparently from the bottom of the bag just over cooked slivers of jalapeños... so I would give that a 3 at best... Hamburger Baskets... one with cheese and sweet potato fries and one regular with regular fries. The burgers were wrapped so tightly in foil that one of the buns were torn almost in half so there was zero presentation, the fries were prepackaged Sysco Foods type fries. So the $10 burger combo is comparable to the $4 combo at Sonic but the service at Sonic is probably better. So I would give the burger basket a 5... So to sum it up, if your not seeking disappointment or bad service on your vacation, avoid this place at all cost as there are much better places close to dine... Where you ask?? Well for an Amazing Jalapeño Cheese Burger Basket visit Steve's Gap Restaurant and their breakfast is great as well, and customer service was on point. The Greatful Head has great food, the wings were my favorite but everything else ordered was great as well... so if you go there and there's a wait, the wait is worth it. Don't make the mistake of going next door to the Blue Rooster because there's no wait because there is a reason there is no wait... Abendigo is a nice dinner experience with good food and good service. Haven't been for lunch but the dinner is a good experience. So if you are on vacation and you want to avoid bad service, mediocre food and an overall bad experience, Avoid the Blue Rooster, there are many other businesses in the area that are greatful for your support. Spend your money at places that appreciate you.... I tried to clarify and go over our experience with Susan the so called owner from what I was told, however she was too busy to come out of the kitchen to talk to me... all while there were 4 occupied tables at the restaurant. Kudos to the family of 10 (white family might I add) that came in after us and heard our experience happening decided to go elsewhere.... Cannot say enough good things about Blue Rooster. First and foremost, they appear to be the only establishment in Broken Bow that's taking the safety of their staff and patrons seriously. The mask requirement and stringent distancing are very much appreciated. Their food is also divine. Hot rolls, chicken tenders, mac & cheese, and homemade pinto beans. We recommend it all. The breweries in town have huge crowds and maskless bartenders but Blue Rooster offers all the local beers and wines in a safe and respectful patio environment. read more

We were there last Saturday night. The service was sooooo slow and the restaurant wasn't even full. Lots of open tables. We got drinks and ordered early on and then no one came to check on us or update us for over 30 minutes. Food finally came and we were able to get drink refills but then another 30 minutes when by with no one checking on us and we were done eating and just wanted a check so we could get out of there. I finally went up to the bar to ask for the check. Sat back down, waited another 15-20 minutes until we basically had to threaten leaving before we got the check. The fried pie was really, really great. It was definitely worth the stop. That being said, they don't serve it with ice cream anymore which was a little bit of a bummer. I got the friend green tomatoes - I found them flavorless, so ask for salt if you make that choice. I also got a side salad with chicken $7 - NOT worth it, don't bother. My husband had the cheeseburger was good and the fries were house made, pretty tasty. I had a local beer and was expecting a great frosty mug - I was handed a can and had to ask for a cup, it was just a plastic cup. I do like the back patio and the off the main road feel. Can I rate more than 5 stars!? My first time to the area on vacation & I/we loved it. We were on vacation in the area and stumbled on to this restaurant as it was super close to the cabin we had. I also want to point out they answered the phone with a smile!!!! +2 stars The line was short to pick up our order. I walked in and noticed social distancing rules in place and being followed. The staff greeted me with a smile... and DEFINITELY worth the short wait as an item I ordered had the side dish they ran out of... I ordered the 8 piece chicken, shrimp basket, 1Lb fried catfish, fried okra, fried pickles. It was flavor packed and the shrimp was ... Yummo. The food came out piping hot. Still hot when we got it back to the hungry cabin members. It was pretty delightful & delicious. +5 stars I would go back for sure. They get a job well done from me.
