What a freaking cool venue!! It was small, which is my favorite kind. We got GA, but there were bartop seats on the side. Got food and drink while we waited for the show, it was shockingly good. Restaurant quality. There's a nice patio outside to hang/eat. Lots of shade and seating. We parked free around the corner and walked over, the whole lot seemed to be valet. Everyone was as kind, service at the bar was good. Would definitely see a show here again. read more

Seated in the balcony for The Academy Is concert tonight and as I was walking down to my seat I hear "sir let me see your ticket" and it was a young lady sitting at a chair with her legs crossed talking to another employee. Instead of asking to see my ticket before I started down to my seat or coming down to ask to see my ticket once I was seated, I was screamed at to come back up to show. I've been to over 300 concerts and never felt disrespected. Not only that. After I showed her my ticket once getting a drink to go back down she came back down to double check my ticket. This was my first time going to a concert at Echo music hall, we had general admission tickets so we were standing on the bottom level. It wasn't too crowded and we were there for a Thievery Corporation concert. The sound was really amazing and made the concert so much more enjoyable. The drinks were much more reasonable costed compared to other concert venues. We didn't get to eat any food so I cannot comment on that. But it's a fun venue. We Ubered so I cannot comment on the parking but we had to walk pretty far to find an uber back and to wait out surge pricing after the concert. Not much area to wait as most of the other restaurants and areas to wait are on the other side of the highway with no safe way to cross to the other side. read more

Great venue. I've seen two bands at the echo lounge. Both were very different set ups so it depends on the show what type of standing or seating areas you'll have access to. The staff are nice and efficient. The bathrooms are clean. Both shows sounded phenomenal in the space. read more

It's the best small venue Dallas. Clean, modern, great sound. We didn't feel like standing so we asked about the upgrade. $30 to go upstairs with tables and standing areas that literally put you above the performer. Drinks are fairly priced. $15 for a 24 ounce beer isn't that bad. All the staff were great. I'd come back anytime. Show was great. read more

Great venue! Saw The Paper Kites last weekend. Sound quality was great and they've got a nice patio where you can go and sit before the opener / in between acts. Drinks were $15 each but I don't go to a lot of shows, that's probably pretty normal sadly in 2026. read more

It's a small venue but good for certain events I saw dragula there. Here was the major issue for me. 1st I paid for the vip seating because I don't want to stand all night. But it was supposed to be an elevated experience with private wait staff. 1st they don't tell you this but the view is obstructed by polls holding up second level. So you can't see half of the snow! 2nd the waitress was HORRIBLE! We placed an order but didn't get our drinks until an hour later. She apologized saying she forgot. But she also forgot our food. Which came another half hour after than. She never bothered to come back and check on us and push button system doesn't work apparently! She just dissapeared from the vip section. We were trying to pay over and over but couldn't even pay until show was over and people were leaving! Terrible staff, vio section is more like a back corner with a bad view. We came here last night to the Indigo De Souza concert. I really liked the venue. It was newer and the smoking patio was really nice. I liked that they had local beer deals for $6. That's a steal at any concert venue. The security was extremely thorough. My fossil Sydney bag was fine, I think they allow 12 X 6 X 12 bags in so as long as you're not carrying a larger size tote bag you should be fine. Security even looked in my altoid tin which I thought was funny. All I had was mints in there but I've never had any other security look inside so it gave me a laugh. Anyway will definitely come back to events held here. Parking was the lot next to the venue and only $12 which is pretty good considering the location. ::Editing:: because I was reading some other reviews so I just wanted to add that at the concert I attended last night there were at least two hydration stations that I saw, one next to the bathrooms and one at the bar. read more

I came here today with my husband for a shrek rave! Over all we had a great time! The dance floor area was spacious, there was never a long line for the bar. They had themed drinks, which I found to be pretty cool! The restrooms were clean and easy to find. They also had a patio you could go outside and sit at which was nice because some places, if you step outside you are not allowed back in. Over all the ticket prices were kind of expensive (90 dollars for 2 people?!) The drinks were also overpriced. $38 dollars for two drinks! The drinks were not even strong! All in all, it was a fun place! I would probably be back despite my few qualms. read more

Very nice venue in a great location but you can easily miss it. It's an intimate performance space. Downstairs is standing room only. Upstairs has a few rows of viewing seats and several tables and chairs along the sides. Excellent clear sound system. Every seat has a great view of the stage. The stage has a great view of every seat. The artists were able to see and interact with the audience on bout floors. Also a small patio area with tables and chairs just off the main area. Catch a concert or two...you won't regret it! read more

Recently came here for a concert & it was okay. The venue is small & the acoustics weren't helping. I couldn't really understand what the performer was saying, but that could have been the equipment. It just echoed a lot. The upstairs is strange. Half of it is like movie theater seats & there are high top tables too for premium pricing. If you really like the artist, then it's a cool place. The drinks weren't horrendously priced. Most drinks were $15-20, including beer, so I'd suggest just drinking liquor at that point. I'd return for the right performer, but not just for fun. read more

A few things you should know: Although they have a menu, you can't eat before a show. Venues that like to make money would have a seating area and allow you to order food before the show. This place makes you wait in line until they open the doors for the show, then you can order food and eat it... while standing... in a crowd. They offer several levels of tickets. General admission gets you into the show. A pre-show pass basically moves you to the front of the general admission line. If you don't buy a "Sound Check" pass, you don't really get in early. If you would like to sit when you eat, you need a VIP table pass. I'm standing in line for a 7:00 show. It is 6:50 and I'm still not in. I'm also really hangry because the menu made me think I could eat here, so take this with a grain if salt. But, yeah, so far not really pleased with the lack of organization and clarity on their website nor the fact that all that extra money got me in a whole 10 minutes early. read more

We came here on 3.8.23 to check out Inhaler, an up and coming Irish band - their lead singer is Bono's son. The setting is great for an intimate concert - meaning small but good for getting around. There are plenty of bars surrounding the floor, and it wasn't murder to get from the floor to the restroom and back. The sound was good and the lighting was extraordinary. Compared to other concert spaces we have been to, we loved this one. I would come back here for a show in a heartbeat. read more

Love love love this venue! We purchased GA for a show so it was standing room only. They have a balcony area with tables and chairs as well as a roped off area with tables and chairs on the main floor. We wanted to upgrade our tickets upon entry and they did provide that option, which we would have loved to do sadly there was only 3 left and we had four in our group. They also serve food, we didn't get to try it but it looked delicious! Next time we will for sure book a table and try some yummy food! There really wasn't a bad area in the entire venue as far as viewing purposes, we could see from everywhere. Staff was very helpful and drinks were really cheap! read more

I recently went to see a show at the Echo. I purchased the valet (worth it) the pre-show(a joke) and the show ticket. The pre-show was an absolute unorganized pointless joke. We were let in only 20 before everyone else. There was really no point in purchasing the Pre-show. Sri is in the lounge were overpriced and options for those not drinking d driving were water and sparkle wasted with was in a can and $6.50. The food is low end bar food at best. You get better food from a food truck at the fair. So the Pre-Show: There is no real benefit. The venue. Within the first five minutes the pot smell was overwhelming. If I could've gotten a refund at the door I would've. Last I check weed was still illegal in Texas. But because of a cowardly manager and owner, there was no enforcing the law. There were also kids at the concert I attended. Y'all want our country to change and be better but you cowards can't even ensure the law is followed in your establishment and protect kids from being surrounded by illegal drugs. I hope the venue is looked into by the authorities and shut down. The performers were amazing. No reflection in them. read more

Last night was my first visit to The Echo lounge and music hall. The venue is easy enough to get to with it being immediately off of the access road. Parking seems to take place in the Maverick's parking lot, for that building next door ... but I had someone picking me up/dropping me off. I will give the venue the credit that it was well kept up inside and they seemed quick to come clean up spills as they happened. As well everyone I interacted with seemed nice, and usually if there was an issue they were very honest with an immediate "Not my call, its the higher ups that made those calls." So the staff get theirs issues and are quick to try to help within the realm that they can. First issue we ran into was there isn't a good pick up/drop off spot. The night I went it was the two driveway spots that had a gate locked, so a number of folks ended up just having to pull to the shoulder on the access road. With place that seems like it could have a high rate of drop off for all ages shows or rideshare due to it serving alcohol it would be smart to have a better set up for that. I didn't see valet being offered either, even with it being mentioned in an things to know before your show email ... So, my only guess is that the closed gates meant the drive way for Valet and Rideshare drop offs are one in the same and if valet is closed there is no where for rideshare to go. A complaint out of hydration safety for folks attending shows: they would not let folks bring in SEALED water bottles. I had to open and chug or dump the water inside. Ok, I get it but many other venues allow for sealed. They said I could bring in the empty bottle and refill it at refill stations but there was none. At the bar they wouldn't give cups of free water. Other venues nearby will either let you bring in SEALED waters, give out free waters, or make sure they have refill stations. Given the number of videos online of people overheating during shows, making sure folks have access to water to stay hydrated. The practice this venue had, shows me the higher ups only care about getting your money from the ticket, parking and bar. The merch booth took cash but the venue itself is card only, and they will happily load it on to some sort of gift card at vip services. I get it, but its a post-covid annoyance. The merch line ended up cutting thru the crowd on the floor and around to the bar near the door. Making it sometimes tough for folks to know what was the line and what was just folks watching the opening band. During both bands there was sound technical issues. The first band we couldn't hear the singer at all. During the headliner the sound went completely out during one of their most popular songs. I won't write off this venue completely, as things may change from show to show, and this was only my first visit to it. I'll plan on driving myself next time due to the drop off issues and make sure to have waters in my car for before/after the show. read more

I saw Lucius perform at the Echo Lounge a few weeks ago when I was visiting Dallas. I went with my dad, brother, and sister (her first concert), and we had a great time. It was a large enough venue with plenty of room, two bars, a large area for merch sales, clean bathrooms, plenty of parking (for $12, I believe). I thought it was a really good venue for a show! No complaints from me that aren't general to all venues (yeah, drinks are expensive but that's true of all venues)! I had a great time. Would definitely see another artist at the venue! read more

This place is a mess. Paid for parking. Right after I paid another car was leaving the lot saying that a Dallas Mavericks employee was threatening to have everyone towed. I went ahead and parked and spoke to another parking staff worker and was told by them, "we're working on it." What is that supposed to mean? Made it really difficult to relax and enjoy the show worrying if my car was going to still be there when the show was over. Security was also unhelpful and not very pleasant with multiple unnecessary bag checks. The only positive experience was quick and friendly bartenders. The rest of the experience was Trash. Will not be back. If you value your vehicle and do not want to have to worry about being towed while watching a show then avoid this place. read more

I will never ever come back here. First they make us walk the 10 minutes to our car and back to remove my pants chains (or offer to check them for $5?!) because they could be "used as a weapon". I have NEVER at ANY venue in the 60-100 concerts I've been to had this happen. The guy was also a huge jerk about it. Then. I ask the bartender to make me a Tipsy Mermaid (equal parts 2 rums, pineapple juice, and a SPLASH of blue curaçao is how I instructed her), only to later find that it ended up being a TWENTY-NINE DOLLAR drink. I've had drinks ten times as complicated and ten times as delicious for half the price. Never ever again. It might be a pretty venue but that's where the buck stops. read more

This review is specific to The HiFi, within the music lounge. Husband bought Daughtry tix for our 10 year anniversary. The ticket showed section row and seat numbers . So we were under the impression that we had seats for the extremely pricy ticket cost. Well, we go upstairs to where the seats are and and the employee tries to help us. Looks at the ticket and said that's so the sight can keep count of how many they sell, but it's the standing room genera admission . He suggested going down to the VIP section to buy two seats. When in line , employees were marketing buying seats as an upgrade for 30 each. We didn't go originally because thought we already had them. So we get to the VIP desk and ask for two of the seats . She said she just sold out . (Of course ). She tried to send us a standing balcony when Another employee said she just had a table open up . I asked how much it was and the first woman said $30, bucks each . I was like we will take it . She took phone number and email and texted the table number and told us to go upstairs . So we went back upstairs and that first employee that helped us at the seats asked if we got it all figured out . I showed him where she texted me table 103. He said he was going to go figure it out . Later he came back and said we were downstairs and that it is a great view still and those tables had chairs . So we went down and continued the night . The food took a little longer but had good flavor . My tacos were cold. Today I am paying bills and there is a charge from HIFI Dallas for $150. I didn't know what that was so I googled the number and connected it to the fiasco last night . How is $60 bucks being charged as $150!!!!!! Now I have to contact them and they will probably argue and we have not receipt because what they emailed was only a confirmation . I would stand until my feet fell off to avoid paying $150!!! read more

NEVER EVER buy the early entry tickets from this venue! My boyfriend and I went to see Bryce Vine here in early March. The actual concert itself was amazing! BUT the early entry tickets were a waste of money, here is why: we NEVER got any form of information about the timeline for the early entry. We only knew when the regular door entry time was. We got there an hour and a half early, thinking they would at least let us in an hour early.... wrong! We asked multiple staff members what time they were going to let us in, and no one knew the answer. We waited the entire time outside in the freezing wind, getting pelted by leaves and a little bit of rain. 30 Minutes before the regular door entry time the managers of this venue come out and talk to the early entry group. When we asked when they are planning on letting us in, they said "oh we don't know yet, we are about to have a meeting in 10 minutes to discuss it. We'll let you know in about 15 minutes." What?!! They did not have a plan at all and did not seem to really care. There were 8 others with the early entry tickets, and we were all starting to get pissed off. They finally let us into the venue ONLY 15 minutes before the regular entry people. It was nice to be ahead of the crowd for merch, food, and drinks but was not worth paying extra for! Total waste of money and time, the managers that were in charge that night absolutely suck. But once we got into the venue, we had a great time, it was super clean, the staff were friendly, and the food and drinks were amazing! read more
