In a packed show, this isn't just inconvenient--it's reckless. Crowd flow is terrible, visibility is poor, and the setup feels like an accident waiting to happen. Any venue that locks people into boxed-in corners during high-capacity events has fundamentally failed at its most basic responsibility. Then there's the so-called VIP area, which might be the biggest scam of the entire experience. Instead of offering better sightlines or proximity to the stage, VIP is completely separated from the performance, drained of energy, and bizarrely isolated. You're not paying for exclusivity--you're paying to be removed from the show you came to see. It feels less like VIP access and more like being banished to a poorly thought-out annex. The restrooms are another low point. The attendants are aggressively overbearing, hovering, directing, and policing behavior to an absurd degree. The sound is first class, the drinks are good, reasonably priced ($16 for a vodka Redbull) and served quickly (two huge bars one on each side). The screens are big and good quality and the air conditioning is perfect (yesterday it was 20F outside). Getting in, at 11pm on a Saturday only took a few minutes. It's also very clean. I've been here over a dozen times within the past year and SILO has steadily gone downhill. A few shows ago my friend was forcefully shoved out of the way by security because she was near the entrance to the seated area. Why they couldn't just ask her to move somewhere else defies logic. Also there have now been a number of shows, most notably the ATLiens and Svddendeath shows, where the sound quality has been abysmal or turned down. Why should anyone come here when the own venue turns down the sound at their shows for no valid reasons? Parking, while not managed directly by Silo, the company they've chosen to handle their parking lot has also been a complete nightmare at times. I had already purchased a number of tickets for future shows but I'll be reaching out to my credit card company if this is all SILO has to offer. read more

Was visiting Dallas and a friend invited me out to Silo. I was able to buy a ticket at the door for Galantis. The space was big and nice. Air circulation was good and never felt too stuffy. The large tvs on the stage were awesome and the lasers were next level! Sound system could be better but it's still really good. The biggest problem I have are with the huge pillars. Unless you're dead center, the pillars def can obstruct your view. read more

My friend and I have been using our flow star for over 2 hours at the venue, and got told by an 'employee' that they shouldn't have been passed by security... all the sudden it's an issue. Lots of parking options (but beware of scammer parking "attendants" - look out for the official jackets). Lots of nearby hotel options. Venue is perfect for EDM music (or any music really ) - 2 long bars flank the main dance area - super clean bathrooms near the front door and a coat check at the entrance ($10 a coat - pricey but worth it!). I'll definitely look into other artists coming to this venue, it was a great night out!! The ventilation is great and probably the best for any indoor venue I've been to. The security at this venue was extremely rude and aggressive. I was denied entry to the MEDUZA concert despite having two valid VIP tickets. The issue started when right after scanning the QR code of tickets and prior to entering, I asked security if I could step out briefly to put my jacket in my car, which was parked across the street. I was explicitly told that it was okay to do so. However, when I returned moments later, security refused to let me back in, suddenly claiming there was a "no re-entry" policy once the ticket QR code is scanned. I explained that I had already asked for permission and was told it was allowed, but the head of security said that even if their employee had told me I could leave, it "didn't matter." I was then forcibly removed, threatened with the police, and ultimately denied entry altogether. As a result, I lost $180 for the tickets and was never offered a refund. Completely unacceptable behavior and a very disappointing experience. read more

I stepped outside briefly to get some fresh air, fully sober and not causing any problems. No one warned me that once you leave the patio area, you're not allowed back in -- not even a sign. When I tried to return, I was met with unnecessary hostility from the security staff. The woman and man at the entrance were shockingly rude, treating me like I was a problem instead of a paying guest who had simply been left uninformed. It honestly felt like the staff were on a power trip. The way they spoke to me was aggressive, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. I've worked in hospitality and nightlife myself, and I know how important it is to treat people with basic respect -- especially when they haven't done anything wrong. Sadly, that kind of customer care seems to be totally missing here now. What used to be a fun, welcoming environment now feels uninviting and hostile. A lot of people go out to unwind and enjoy themselves -- but if you're looking for a place that respects its guests and handles things with class, Silo isn't it. This venue is excellent. Been here almost every 2 weeks since opening. Staff is courteous, bar acces is excellent and abundant (huge bars on either side), sound is dialed in, very good crowd control, always felt safe, and the bathrooms are massive and very clean with no waiting. I live It'l Do as well but the bathroom (men's) is tiny with one stall. Always a line up. I do not know why some comment that security is rude. I have never seen any indication of that. I agree the the VIP room needs some work. The mezzanine area when complete will be a great add on for different views. It's also super cool to see the sound and light engineers do their work at the back. It's rare that a venue has this part open to view. I have not experienced the table service yet. No idea how much that costs. The outside area has lots of seating to take a quick break. Food truck has never disappointed. So happy that Dallas has this venue as Stereo Live is a dump. The crowds are a mix of all styles and ages. Parking is easy if you get there by 10pm. It's in the top list of world class venues for a reason. Don't understand the haters. read more

Listen, it's great for EDM music. Tickets are cheap (early bird), plenty of parking options, and it's very well air conditioned. The drinks are great and quick to receive. However, each of the 5 times I've gone to this venue, it's been oversold. There's no way that many people are allowed into that building. It's so crowded constantly and not in the fun rave way. I've been to plenty to tell the difference. It's crowded in the way of you can't even get out of the middle if you want to go to the bathroom and there's no room on the sides by the bars either. You can't tell where a line begins or ends for a drink when the club is at its peak. Moreover, what's making me rate this review even lower, is their valet parking. I got there about an a hour before the headliner was coming on, so a lot of the other lots surrounding the venue were completely full. I was told by multiple security guards as I drove up and down Manufacturing St. that valet had plenty spots left, and I should try to do that. The guy who took my car tried to tell me they were out of spots, but "premium valet parking" was $60 if I gave him cash instead... I told him I had $40, he nodded and asked me to get out so it could be parked. I got out of my car, handed him $30 and got my car parked in the back lot for the actual price because.. no. LOL. That's not even a thing on the website. He said he'd "let it slide" this time... There's no way that's the way the SILO wants to function. That's truly embarrassing for a club of this stature to succumb to if it is. However, I don't know if ALL the valet workers were acting like that or if it was just this one or if it was just because they knew this specific performance was drawing in a huge crowd and wanted to make a few extra bucks, but the fact that it happened really made my experience annoying. Silo is a mockery of dance music. They staff the venue with people who do not know how to work the sound they have obviously spent tons of money on. The sound is never consistent. Some nights it's on and perfect and sometimes you are wondering where the bass is. The staff they hire is extremely dishonest and likes to let their friends instigate situations with other attendees because they know security will kick the other party out. Also it's located in a very sketchy part of town that is perfect to catch drunk or intoxicated people and rob them after they leave. It's in a very quiet business district of town. Also the bouncers will attempt to initiate fights. Silo is the type of business that you have to be willing to defend yourself while there if you choose to go. As a man I've never been somewhere that has ever made me consider a non lethal means of self defense such as pepper spray. I would recommend avoiding Silo because they employ crash outs that provide very reasonable reasons to utilize pepper spray because the staff seems to not know how to not put their hands on people.
