We found this place due to looking for independent bookstores when we travel. This one is tucked away in a nice little spot. Parking is pretty good. It is not super big but it makes great use of the space it has tons of pre loved books, stickers, various gifts, oracle and Tarot cards, witches candles and so much more. SHANA SAYS: Super cute atmosphere, fun organizing of the books like pre loved, and lots of cute gift items. Plus a cat with its own hours! Kathy was super friendly and helpful. Made the whole experience better and is a genuine person. They do have a game room and a snack bar with free water as well as a keuring and snacks for sale. The bathroom is for everyone and they are very welcoming. Of course as an independent bookstore they have a wide variety of titles with some new books thrown in. They do mystery sells and bundles where you get a vague description of a book that is covered up and you take a chance. It should go without saying but as you are supporting local businesses the prices are a little higher the HPB or Amazon but it means more here and you should buy local when you can. I highly recommend this place. They even have a section where if you spend $50 you get to choose a free gift from books to sunglasses to other items. Go in, say hi to Kathy and The Cat! read more

What a wonderfully weird place! I was looking for a local bookstore that was close to my hotel and would let me explore a little. The Book Burrow did the trick! I will start with the "downsides" (as few as they are). This place is pretty small. Like smaller than I thought. Because of this, its not the greatest place for browsing. They had some "witch" stuff which was interesting, but I was looking for a book. Also, most of the books are used which isn't terrible, but not exactly clear. As for the positives, this place is a true small business so you really get the personal touch when it comes to service. I also picked this place because it did a "blind book" service where they will pick out a book or two for you based on your description. A bunch of bookstores do this, but the Book Burrow understood the assignment exactly. They got me THREE books and all of them were PERFECT. I was surprised how they found my vibe and found me unique books! They also wrapped it in a beautiful paper and addressed it to me! It was like a little birthday gift to myself! As you can tell, I was very floored by the selections. This is the small business of small businesses so I am so HAPPY that I was able to stop by! While the place is small and their selection is in flux, I really appreciated the personal touch from the staff at The Book Burrow. read more

WOW! Super cute bookstore tucked away in the corner. They offer pre-loved books as well as new.I love the idea of the blind bags. They have a brief description and price and then you get to see what you get later. The cashier was abundantly helpful.She was able to give me romance book suggestions. As someone who's never read any I didn't know where to start.I love that you can order any book online and proceeds will still go to those local book store. Great bookstore with a good selection and prices. I found a book from my childhood that I had to revisit and another from my current wish booklist. The staff person was friendly and kind. Great first experience at this woman/LGBTQ+ owned independent bookstore! They're currently residing in a wine bar called Three Legged Goat. I'm usually reluctant to try the blind date with a book selections, as I don't want to end up with a book I already own/have read or a mainstream popular pick. But after perusing their shelves of mostly unique picks I knew this was The Place to finally try blind date with a book and I happily got one I haven't read and didn't own yet! They have a large selection of locally made stickers of all kinds of topics for $1-3. They also offer a section with "bargain books" that are only $5! Some of the sections that they currently have are various YA and younger children books, new fiction, sci-fi/fantasy, romance, booktok picks, nonfiction, political, graphic novels, true crime, identity/personal empowerment, mystery/thriller, and classics that I can remember so lots of topics covered! There is merch like shirts, tea towels, games, cards, writing utensils, coasters, candles, and much more. Yes, the prices are going to be more than getting a book on Amazon, but you're supporting your community and someone's dream! I'll happily pay more to be able to have an inclusive space to purchase books near me. Can't wait to go back soon! read more

The Book Burrow is a gem in Pflugerville, working to create a heart for its community. There's a lot of programming for teens, for adults, for dungeons and dragons players, for writers. They are working hard to make sure there is an independent bookstore in this neighborhood. Go visit them. They're good people. read more

I checked out the Three Legged Goat (Texas Wine Bar) for the first time today and was delighted to discover this bookstore inside! They officially open this weekend, and the owner says she's going to get some super comfy seating, but sitting here reading a book (in an already pretty comfy chair) and drinking a glass of wine, I've found a new go to spot. I love that Pflugerville finally has a bookstore. I just hope they can expand some day if they want to do they can have a storefront and signage to attract more people. The store is the most welcoming and largest booth in the Pflea Market located between Pflugerville Pfuniture Center and Brotherton's BBQ. The store has excellent posters and is cozy enough to spend time and read a book for an overview. I really liked the mystery books wrapped as a "blind date with an (insert genre here)." I'll be back to browse again when I want to own something. They didn't have what I wanted, but I can order it online through their custom order shop! read more
