Easily the best secondhand bookstore in the Peoria area. I could kill hours just browsing here. They also have DVD and Blu-Ray movies and some music CDs. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is one time while I was in there I overheard one of the employees badmouthing one of my favorite books of all time. read more

Before their last expansion, they had a sci-fi/fantasy room! I was so stoked! They still have the most in this area! I literally got so many Michael Moorcock books here, sorry I had to geek out for a second. I lived in Atlanta for quite a few years, and even going to 2 of my favorite 2nd hand bookstores there, I would have my mom stop in here for me. Also, every time I would come to visit I'd also make sure to stop in. I think that other guy may have confused the place further down on Knoxville and Lake confused with Book Nook because that's the place that has a lot of romance novels. Book Nook has almost every subject you can think of. They are huge now. Plus if you don't want to search for it, just ask and they will find it for you if they have it. They may not always have the exact book you want, but if you let them know they will look out for it. Their staff are the best! read more

They should take "buy" off their sign. I have never been to a used book store that wouldn't at least look at what you had. They pretty much said buzz off. read more

Good audiobooks section. The clerks are also willing to buy your used books if they think they can re-sell them. It's MUCH bigger than their original store, which was tiny by comparison. Some businesses go under when they expand, but the Book Nook definitely has a niche in Peoria. read more

I have been here 3 times since i got back into reading (in a junior in highschool) and there has not been a single time i have left with fewer than 5 books. It has a great selection of older books which i prefer at great prices. They also have 'store credit' which can pay for up to 50% of your purchase which just makes it all a better deal in the end! I have bought a total of 19 books from here in the last 2 months. Also for all those looking for great deals, the Dollar Tree occasionally has a decent collection of books (all for one dollar and I purchased Micro by Michael Crichton). read more
