The selection of books was nice too, lots of popular titles and new releases and fun eclectic choices. The workers were all kind in the store and the books were fairly priced. We were going through the process of clearing out our bookshelves and debated whether we should go…read morethrough the hassle of bringing them to one of the local chain bookstores (Half Price Books) or to the library for donation. I happened to find Banana Books' website and noticed that you can actually schedule them to come pick up books from your house. I picked an appointment slot online, and a few days before, someone contacted me and confirmed the number of books I had and the condition. I sent a few sample photos and we settled on a fair price (I would put this on par with what you would probably get from HPB). The day of our appointment, they texted me when a driver was 30 minutes away. He showed up on time, loaded up the books in his car (it was OK not to have them boxed up), and I received a Venmo after that was done. It was the easiest transaction ever, and I appreciated the prompt communication throughout the process. I've not been to the physical bookstore. Apparently they are based in Comfort, but they have a warehouse in Austin and an online store front, and they ship books all over. If you are moving or decluttering and are looking to get rid of your books, I would highly recommend this local business for a very stress-free option.
